Nice pub in a great location in the heart of London.

Great little gem of a pub just off the beaten track. Stopped by for a drink and nibble after a blue badge Suffragette walk and so glad to have found it!

Nice pub a bit off the tourist trail. Good beers and bar snacks.

I hope for all people in London that these are not truly the best Fish'n Chips in London (as advertised). I understand that doing a job in service is not the greatest thing in the world and I do not expect happy faces every, but you also do not have to act as if your mum just died

Stopped in with a couple of friends on a Saturday afternoon, around 1pm. It looked like a cozy place and had fish & chips, so we decided to check it out. Service did start off slow and stayed that way. Food was really good, but they were out of espresso for espresso martinis, no cheeseburgers, and Lillet for the Lillet Spritz. Maybe we just visited on an off day. Probably won't be back though.

Very cool place. The Scottish Egg was amazing. The house made tartar sauce went great with the fish and chips. The fish was a smidge bland but nothing to balk at.

I have to say this is without a doubt the worst food I've ever tasted I ordered a vegetarian curry. The curry sauce was literally two teaspoons of some watery god knows what Served with pita bread and rice No point oven the bitter bread and rice cos there was no curry sauce Awful

Tempura greasy, main luke warm service dismissive. It took 60 minutes for first course Staff so don't care. A total waste of money. I'd advice people not to use this place, had to leave 80% of the food. If anybody says that the food is good then clearly the nearest Creggs is closed. Got to say toilets are clean!

Are here my first night in London. Had the Chicken Snitzel and it was delicious

I love that places like this exist, they are a wonderful piece of escapism

Out of fish and chips!, But great calamari, rarebit and mash& cheeseburger. Five stars would definitely go back. Great environment and great food. Excellent chefs!

Decent little pub off Trafalgar Square…initially I had thought it would be packed full of tourists but it was a nice crowd of after work drinkers and diners. Visited with a colleague. £75 for main & side and a nice bottle wine, which isn’t bad for that area. Food was ok, not mind blowing but came out quick and service was very friendly and frequent. A safe bet if you’re around the area.

Went for a few drinks with friends and enjoyed our time at Walkers. Would recommend you book a table as it can be busy in the evening.

You definitely get the feeling that they are doing you a favour by letting you eat here. Food is standard for the area, but we were waiting 10 minutes before a member of staff came up from the downstairs area and a number of other potential customers left before placing an order.

Lovely pub and restaurant just off Whitehall main road near Trafalgar Square. Needed a break from walking with kids, room in main bar. Only had starters but were delicious. Man behind bar very friendly. Great atmosphere, lovely old building over 3 floors.

Owner was rude, shouted at me for using the toilet before I got a drink. Lemonade was flat, and my partners pint tasted like the lines hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Would give it zero starts if I could.

Excellent pub, real hidden gem with reasonably priced pints

Unexpected "service charge" of 12,5% over the regular bill. Sandwiches are huge amounts of bread with little to no toppings.

I had a very enjoyable birthday do in the Vault Bar at Walkers of Whitehall last night, strongly recommended.

Slightly tucked up away means this is popular for tourists and people post work. Lovely team who made us feel very welcome. Good beers on tap and a nice wine list too. Will be back.

The staff spoke so disgustingly. The food is just ok, not worth the price in my opinion, but the service is just a new level of HORRIBLE.

Staff were brilliant. Our part was late due to march that was on which left us little time to get our food before our show. They went out their way to accommodate us cant thank them highly enough.

Walkers of Whitehall, tucked away at the north end of Whitehall, next to the Silver Cross. A quiet sedate pub with a few floors to explore. A selection of keg beers on offer (may change soon I suspect) +5 pumps on the bar, only one in operation today offering Broadside + 1 with Rosie's Pig cider. All good with great staff here to help. Seems like an alright pub. Awful shame that I noticed a female member of staff complaining to her colleague how she "hated us and our beliefs" and how she wished she could "smash a pint glass in [our] faces". It slightly ruined the experience for me I must admit.

Fish and chips were delicious. I was happy I didn't need reservations, and I was able to sit and eat.

We had a lovely lunch at the Walkers of Whitehall. The pie and fish & chips were delicious. We went on a saturday and were glad that we had a reservation.

The Fish and Chips were very tasty. The Pie was even better. Reservation recommended.

Great atmosphere in the heart of political Westminster.

I was part of a group that booked a space here. When I was at the bar, buying a drink, a young lady refused to serve me after questioning me as to part group i belonged to in there. Everyone was kind and polite yet ...(also noteworthy, she did seem very annoyed and disturbed) Last I checked the UK is equal to all, irrespective of religious, cultural or political differences. This was the first experience of discrimination. I hold no grudge against her, but honestly that's very unprofessional and unexpected. Luckily another member of staff was nice enough to get me a drink. I would have liked to try the food, but frankly would be nervous, if it was her bringing out the food!! I do hope this isn't a regular experience with patrons and hopefully would visit again. Sadly won't recommend at the moment.

Service I've been to a few pubs around the UK. Never have I been refused service. A young person refused to serve me. She questioned religious / political / social beliefs and refused to serve me. I was not rude / impolite / aggressive. I was, however, surprised. Working in customer service for most of my adult life, it did come across as highly unprofessional. Another kind member of staff did serve me. She was cool. **** Food We didn't get a chance to try it, but they did offer a few dishes. Would like to try some day. **** Atmosphere Lovely atmosphere, big pub with a few floors, beers priced the same as pubs around, £6.50 a pint.

Lovely pub tucked away just off the main Whitehall tourist route. We had lunch in the very quiet basement restaurant, perfect for us as we were catching up. Basic pub food although the vegetarian option I had was unexpectedly good - falafel, hummus and halloumi with salad. All the staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming, we stayed on for hours without being disturbed eventually moving upstairs to the pub which by then was busy but we still managed to find a seat. Reasonably priced, and unpretentious, a rare find in this part of London, we'll be back.

Waited an age for our food and when we received it all our dishes were cold ,sent them back and they just reheated them and threw them back on our table. The food was absolutely terrible. The service was even worse . Worst place I have ever eaten in in all my travels . Doesn't even deserve the one star . And the small barman needs to learn some manners

Great old style pub with good pub food

Beer is good but the menu seems advisory and does not reflect what you actually get. Falafel & beetroot wrap arrived in thick white sliced bread. The buttermilk fried chicken with hot sauce arrived with no hot sauce, just tomato ketchup. Both dumped on the table,…. no apology, no explanation just take it or leave it! Avoid or just drink.

This was a meal included in a tour and coming from Halifax, Nova Scotia and an abundance of great fish and chips shops this was slightly disappointing. The sticky toffee pudding was excellent.

The food was unmistakably horrible. The sandwich my girlfriend got was next to disgusting. My burger was black charcoal burnt. The service was not the best, but nothing to complain about, though. The beer was alright. Toilets were clean. But the place is insufficient. It’s a tourist trap. I do not recommend it at all. I would return if I need a quick beer and it’s the only pub opened nearby.

Bar staff busy chatting amongst themselves, not sure they can smile. A group came in looking for a fast meal, place near empty, instead of suggesting something on the menu it was a no sorry. So they left. Food pretty average.

Came in as a group of 90 for a buffet pre- planned. Terrible service!! Buffet was put in entree bowls with no utensils. Food was unlabeled. No tables set up. Food runner rude to customers trying to assist to get line down. So much potential but over showered by lack of knowledge about groups was crazy did accomplishing known allergens . Great location but would never recommend

There were 14 of us booked after 10K run. The table was prepared for 10 pax. Food took so long to come out. When it finally came out, the chicken schnitzel had no salad on the plates even though it says on the menu. When we asked the waiter, he said they run out of salad. This should be communicated before taking the order, not waited until the food came out. A few of us ordered felafel wraps, it came out with sandwich bread, and when questioned, the waiter said ‘ this is what you getting today’. Unacceptable and rude as service. Definitely not recommend.

Very nice local pub, great atmosphere, really good English food (fish and chips and shepherd's pie), and plenty of beer! Feels authentic and a place for real locals and not tourisic. Very recommended!

We had pie, mash & a little veg (one spoon full of mash and a small spoon too), The gravy was as salty as could be, but that's what you get with gravy granules. And at £16 each, I would not recommend the pub at all. Far better pubs are just around the corner with better food and prices, too.

Terrible! Ordered a coffee and bowl of chips while escaping the rain. The espresso was a cup of dirty river water. Hands down the worst coffee I’ve had in London. The bowl of chips took 45 mins to arrive after asking where they were twice and the said they will be there soon. I sat and watched other people who ordered after me get their meals and eat them. Would never go back! Wow a shame as it’s a cute pub.

Great Pub just down from Big Ben.

First, the good news. Service was exceptional. As a group of 8, we interacted with several servers over the course of our meal. All were friendly and very helpful. The croque monsignor was interesting, having a surprisingly soft cheese inside. A solid 9/10. The fish sticks were nicely done, and the kids loved them. The burger was good but not exceptional. A chicken sandwich was ok. Much about the fried chicken starter was off. The chicken seemed old, seemed undercooked, and the oil was old. A solid 2 on a scale of 10. So, we would be happy to go back but we will choose our items carefully, maybe sticking to the fish dishes. I can't help but think a chef with a little higher vision and tighter standards could help this place be really, really great. They have great staff. They have great location. Let's up to game to have great food. Again, a shout out for great service staff.

Our dining experience at Walkers of White Hall in London was predominantly a feast for the senses, with a few areas that could use some enhancement. The cuisine was absolutely superb. The fish and chips were exquisitely prepared, each bite a testament to classic British comfort food done right. The beef and ale pie was equally impressive, a beautiful blend of hearty flavors encapsulated in a flaky pastry. And the sticky honey mustard sausages were an absolute revelation, an innovative twist on a traditional dish that left us craving for more. Our server deserves a special mention for her warm demeanor and excellent service. Her friendly attitude and attentive care significantly added to our overall dining experience, making us feel genuinely valued and well looked-after. However, a couple of aspects could have been better. Despite the restaurant having ample seating, we were placed rather closely to other diners. This detracted from the ambiance and made our experience feel less private and more crowded than we would have liked. Another area for improvement lies in the beer selection. For a pub in the heart of London, the range of beers felt somewhat limited, especially for anyone seeking more than a basic ale. An expanded selection would undoubtedly add another feather in the cap of Walkers of White Hall. All in all, our experience at Walkers of White Hall was mainly a culinary triumph. With some minor adjustments to the seating arrangement and beer selection, it could easily become an unrivaled dining destination in London.

Top notch! Great customer experience, even tho we came in with the kitchen barely opened. We felt welcomed by the friendly staff. The food was PHENOMENAL, beating many overpriced "gourmet restaurants" (Thanks chef Anthony)! The beef & ale pie and the cheeseburger we had were just mouthwatering!🤤 We were extremely pleased with the overall visit and would definately recommend to anyone looking for authentic pub with awesome food and service! This place looks tiny but just keeps going. Lots of spaces in which to hold your event. Went to corporate event in lower bar. Beautifully decorated with it's own bar. Our party had preselected finger food and everything tasted great and was beautifully presented. All staff friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back and if I needed an event space in this area this one would be hard to beat if the sizes fit.

I usually love this place for lunch, the food is good but they had a bit of a kitchen nightmare last time, which was unusual, which resulted in us leaving after around 45mins without any luch. I'll still give it another try as they've never let me down before.

We celebrate Christmas party at the place. It was okay but it’s needed some music!! That should be a must!!
