i came here for a meal today with friends we orderead 1chicken fillet burger meall and 1 steak meal with gazebo sauce. i can truly say it was amazing food we really enjoyed it the food came out nice and hot. service was also 10/10 defo recommend it

Honestly the worst food I have ever experienced. Even though they claim they bring out the taste of East African food, I think they probably haven't tried the East African food as compared to taste. The rice is too dry to chew and the thing made me frustrated is the beef. The portion of beef is very little. Such a shame. I have never written this explicit review anywhere in my life. 🤮

Was craving a good old jungle paprika that I used to have during my university days 7 years ago, unfortunately very disappointed with the food! ordered a mixed chicken and steak with peppercorn sauce, not the best. The food didn't taste anything like it used to be and peppercorn sauce was runny. Not sure if it's new management but I won't be coming here again.

Thought we would try here after a little search online. Place was empty which should have been a warning sign but we were hungry. Ordered combo 3 and prawn meal. Had to order at the till. Took approx 35/35 mins for food to arrive. Only thing edible was the chips. The chicken was rotten and had a smell to it. Lamb chops were very thin. Prawns were okay but all the seasoning was to the shell which obviously you don’t eat. Complained because the chicken had an off smell and a couple of us tried to taste it and spat it back out. Also was not white as you would expect but grey. Wanted a refund at least for the combo I full but this was denied as we ate some chips and half the lamb chops so settled for £20 refund from the approx £60 paid. Absolutely disgusting. Must all be fake reviews. Stick to the likes of pepes if you have any value for your health and taste buds.

Always hit and miss this place but legends never die. Used to be the go to place back in the day now they use doner from a bucket that anyone can buy and microwave at home. Gazebo sauce is amazing though.

Use to be a regular when at university in Leicester many moons ago and it was really good. Vistied today and found it very expensive did not taste great. Would give it 2/10 but for the price to pay would expect alot more. Paid £60 for family of 4 and didnt even finish half of the food! Never mind the missing items

Visited from London 10 years ago, a decade later ended up living nearby and visited again - perfect food, lovely brothers, generous portions, inexpensive, and still one of the best halal food establishments - I recommend medium heat (Gazebo) or mild

Nice food in a busy atmosphere. Limited seating as they have some renovation work going on. What is a very nice touch though is they have a salaah area and a place to do wudhu. Unfortunately they have a got rid of the salaah area for more seating. As the owners seem to have changed.

I got the t-bone steak and the wife got chicken in a basket. Very good food, cooked to perfection. You get plenty to fill you up. You get chips and salad too. Gazebo sauce is very tasty. Probably one of the best places in Leicester.

This place has really gone down hill! I used to go here all the time a few years back, going at least once a week. Food quality has dropped drastically. Owners don't seem to care anymore and the place is full of young kids "cooking" the food. I even witnessed one of them playing/chucking the food about whilst on the grill. Not something that should be done, let alone infront of customers. Very unprofessional.

Literally my husband’s go to place…the food is banging!!! This is the spot I always turn to when I want to treat the husband!! Went in the other day and got speaking to the owner…excited to try their new pre-marinated meats! Deffo the go to spot when you need a fix!

The food was really tasty and my chicken was cooked to perfection. I tried the half chicken and chips and a new sauce recommended on arrival which is a new favourite the gazebo sauce from Africa! I recommend to others the food is high quality, staff friendly but most of all amazing food.

Used to come earlier regularly was first class. Now it is 0 star if i could give it. Food was nor fresh, steak not fresh, we weren't even asked how we would like the steak done. Staff can not speak english. Self service not fine dining. Steak not served on sizzler plate even though we would be willing to pay extra for the sizzler plate. Rice was not fresh steak hard and cold. They do not take cards as everytime their card machine is broken.

Ordered food which was supposed to be delivered but after putting order through was told they got it wrong delivery driver not in. So we went to get the food and had to wait a good twenty minutes on top of the hour wait after putting order through. When we got home with the order the Zambezi mix had no chicken and a measly amount of dried up steak. Salad was dead and chips were overcooked, dry and cold. Rang to complain and was told that they have written my name and number down and I should ring whenever I want and they will give us a new meal. To confirm they will keep to their word we discussed what if it’s forgotten? To which I was assured that as long as I give my name and the number it should not be a problem as it is written down where all staff can see. When I did ring to re order I was told that they do not offer any meals to compensate. The man on the phone was rude and made me feel like I was wanting a freebie. I felt humiliated and ended up hanging up. Please avoid this place as the food is the worst u will ever get and staff and owner need to be trained in customer service. When you pay fro food u at least expect it to be edible and to include the food u actually ordered. This place will disappoint you and there is no way anyone will admit or accept they have got it wrong. So please do not waste your time nor money at jungle paprika because it has completely gone downhill.

Struggling to get through this, so figured out I'm better off writing a review. This is not enjoyable. Steak is over-cooked. I know Braai style steak is Well Done, but this is over-cooked. You can tell by the meat curling up at the top. You can also tell but how tough it is. I've nearly ripped through the box (even using a steak knife!) because of how tough it is. The top left picture is all the tough (inedible) fat and hard meat I've gotten through thus far. The second star is because this place used to be great, but seriously gone downhill. Also annoying is I ordered peppercorn sauce, but could taste some gazebo sauce basted onto the meat. I don't think these guys care anymore.

Unfortunately didn’t meet expectations. Quality of food was poor. Also they don’t take cards which is always inconvenient. Should have left food on counter but ended up transferring money via online bank. All very bizarre. Lesson learnt… will avoid in the future.

Unfortunately they're not the same restaurant I used to love going to several years back. Undersized burger portions, cheese on the chips was not melted on several occasions and overcooked meat making it sometimes hard ( except for chicken) to chew on. Sorry guys I like you on a personal level but your quality has dropped!

They are passionate, and caring towards there customers. I had placed unreasonable expectations, and failed to recognise them going above and beyond. The food is delicious. Thanks again JP :)

Bad experience, went to eat on a weekday, ordered food and sat to eat, got rushed half way and told to leave as they had a team night on, staff member came up to us and said the manager was in the car outside and had told her to tell us to leave, left half food and will not be going back in a hurry, keen to take your money, not keen on custom, rang and complained, was told manager will call back, still not had any response.

They have step up a little from my review last year. It was hotter in heat but the chicken was cooked a while ago and tried to par it off with sauce on top? Chips were ok, had better from them.
