Not the greatest chips in Leicester but better than most. Staff are super friendly. While I was waiting for my chips, some geezer came in wanting to put up a poster for his brothers election campaign. They were like "sure". I'd've told them to fork off but the chippy guy was accomdating. It was super weird though. After the guy had asked "could you put this poster up for me" he just stood there grinning like a psycho. I guess he was waiting for someone to say "wow, yur related to that guy?". That did not happen. Great place. Love it.

Amazing takeaway brilliant service and very very clean ... yes you have to wait because the food is freshly cooked to order ... and I didn't mind waiting at all ... the chips are fresh, and the cooking oil is clean and not reused like most takeaways these days .. So I find the comments made on here are mainly created by other owners from other business takeaways ... I am a chef and I know about good foods !

The driver refused to even meet me half way between the road and my house. It was raining heavily and made me come out to the road (a little grass area in front of my house).. didn't even meet me half way and stayed in his car. Very disappointing, but the food was very nice.

Absolutely horrible come out try to eat my wrap but the rapper smelt of sweat in my hand was smelling of sweat absolutely disappointed made me nearly sick

Avoid. Angels isn't what it used to be. The last few orders there's been issues. Today the drink was forgotten and the curry sauce lid wasn't put on properly so it leaked. Plus the beef and onion pie looked/tasted like it was a week old.

The best takeaway! Kebab and Chips were delicious! Always hot, always tasty & always on time. Thanks again!

had many chippies in Leicester over the last few years, this one was miles clear of any of them. fish was beautiful, they left the crispy batter fall offs in the box with the fish, chips were fresh out red hot, battered sausage was beaut and curry sauce may be the best I've had. will order again

Chips are awful,would rather go pizza shop across the road and get fries from which says a lot as your a CHIPSHOP and can’t even get that right! Chips tasted like they was recooked over and over again in the same dirty oil they have used for probably the last 5 years!

The chips were the worst I have ever eaten, well mostly thrown away actually. As well as being hard they tasted burnt.

Sausage anaemic , soggy chicken ,kebab. a mix of chicken and fat ,in tiny cubes.. salad, tiny but fresh.

To start with our order was delivered to the wrong address took two hours for two items shocking! And when we finally got the food it was bland

I ordered kebab just meat and salad. Around 6£. Portion is small.. salad just for decoration (one chopped letuice letter and 3/4 cherry tomato slice of the cucumber) meat very greasy, but tasty. Not recommended at all

just the smell of the stale over used oil and the lad leaning in the doorway gorking at you as pass is enough to put me even trying this place UPDATE: I thought I'd give it a try wish I hadn't odd tasting chips (re-frys) mixed kebab on a raw pitta with the tiniest amount of salad for decoration with a few drops of sauce, imodium on standby

Ordered via Just Eat over the weekend. Was expected to deliver at 4:50pm on Saturday but turned up 45 minutes early with the food still piping hot and tasted great! Thank you for the amazing food and service.

i have fish and chips delivered every friday my granddaughter put them on a standing order i have never been disappointed always hot and freshly cooked absolutely gorgeous

First time trying Angels and I can say I will definitely be ordering from there again. Chips were not oily or have bruised bits all over and the donner meat tasted beautiful, thankyou :) I wish i could rate it a 10 star it was perfect:)

This was my local chip shop used regular for myself and family. Recently when ordering I have ordered and had to wait 1 and a half one time and two hours the next one and the same has just happened. So this is the third time now. When trying to contact the shop they are not answering there phone. So have to go out off our way to go down to resolve this when the whole point is to get it delivered. I would it would be alright after it happening before but 3 times. I won’t be ordering from here again I’m really disappointed.

The service here is second to non, friendly staff, quick sevice. Normally I have to wait atleast an hour before recieving my food but tonight it took less then 30 mins, THIS IS MY PICK OF THE WEEK! You won't regret getting your food here, you will thank yourself you did, enjoy

They have a website you can order from and even get a receipt email for your order but after 1 1/2 hours and no delivery then phone up to be told dont use website!!!

Very poor service we waited like 1 hour and 45 minutes and it didn’t return and they couldn’t do there own website

Very clean shop, friendly staff and fresh, tasty food. Best veggie burger ive had in 5 years of being vegetarian. Chips are also fresh and the servings are generous. Doesnt have the off-putting whiff old frying oil gives.

Tried burger. It was nice. Kitchen looks tidy. Friendly staff. Chips smelled ok, not like from others that i could smell the oil was changed god knows when... This take away seem to change the oil regularly. Will come back to check other meals.

Went in today for donner meat and and chips. Was told it would be five minutes as he was going to cut me some fresh I was looking at what he was doing and seen him heating it up in the microwave and it wasn't nice at all. Plus I don't appreciate being lied too

I would give them Zero stars if I could. Honestly the worst chip shop I have ever ordered from. The portions are ridiculous. The food took ages and the chips were anaemic and some were raw.

had fish and chips for the first time , i was amazed the quality of fish they use and so big the peas was proper and the chips as they should be. will recommend to anyone to go and try it you have nothing to lose.
