Great desserts & 10/10 service 🔥

Strawberry waffles with cream and the cookie dough are the ones to go for, avoid milkshakes and vanilla cheesecakes at all cost! Don't like the idea of them only serving one dish at a time, don't like waiting when you've ordered multiple waffle dishes...

Just for one drink i wait for 30 minute and when the drink arrive it wasnt worth of waiting there wasnt any Que still they are taking this long time really unhapoy woth the service, only the small girl was good with her service with smile and at least say sorry. Will not come again..!!!

My wife and I came for a milkshake. I went for something extra sweet (and it was delicious) and my wife asked for a banana milkshake (not on their menu!). Staff were really helpful and made a custom made peanut and banana milkshake. Definitely the place to come for indulgent milkshakes!

Awful service! Empty shop- served in cheap plastic containers with plastic spoons.. Initially told all sundae glasses were broken! The. Told they were too busy to offer glassware.. Cheap and nasty for the price. Poor and rude staff Don’t bother

The decor of this place is nice, lots of seating available a mixture of booths and tables and chairs. I've only given my visit 2 stars as my experience was flat. The server could do with being a bit more friendly and maybe smile and not give the impression that he is doing me a favour by my visit. I think the food and drink is overpriced. £3.49 for a tiny cappuccino. This place has 2 branches, surprising that they are a cash only establishment so if you do decide to give them a go make sure you have cash! The waffle was ok, very airy and light. I don't think I'll be going here again, their competitors on the same road are cheaper, accept card payments and have good customer service!

From start to finish the desserts were amazing. Strawberry daiquiri is a must try if you come here as well the cookie dough and velvet cake. 👌

I had very high expectations for Johnny custards but what a huge disappointment. I went with family and I found the puddings really bad quality, stale cornflake tart, rubbery crepes , custard tasted cheap and mocktails full of ice and over sweet! Won’t be coming here again , hope improvements are made for the near future ..

Good place for Desserts and smoothy,

Sarah on the till was very rude after they messed up my 5 year old daughters simple ice cream cone order. She made assumptions that we were after a freebie when we wanted buy a plain cone to rectify their mistake. Service with a smile goes a long way but here even a smile isnt free!

Lovely aroma and freshly served warm desserts. I wish they would use better quality flour for their desserts which will enhance the taste and texture of their offerings. Had the crepe and waffles. The cutleries could do with better cleaning though.

Place is very nice and presentable. Only negative is the menu is so tattered and ripped that it puts me off slightly. Menus could do with an upgrade for sure. The desserts I've had are very nice.

First time I've tried this place. Really good quality desserts. Good portion sizes and just the right amount of sweetness. If you've got a sweet tooth great place to visit with parking close by. They really do some good custard I ordered the cornflake tart with custard. 9/10

They now charge £1.40 for ice-cream that used to come free with the waffles/cookies dough. What absolute cheek. The mark up on the products is ridiculous.

I've had a few things from there (all pretty good) but the reeses pb pancake is absolutely amazing mashaAllah.. had it a few times now and it's brilliant if you like that sort of flavour. They did make an error in my most recent visit but it was rectified very quickly and they were wonderful about it. Friendly staff High quality dessert Good portion for the price. Parking wise you've got the side streets if you're on Evington road.

Nice range of desserts. Staff are friendly and very focused on cleanliness and disinfection. This place of now cash only so bare that in mind if you are going to eat in.

Avoid if you can. Took 40 minutes on a Sunday to bring a simple dessert. Imagine how lazy they are on a really busy night . Lousy staff and no attention paid to customers. Other branch is much better.

The eat in service is worse than useless, how can anyone excuse waiting for over 30 minutes at their table and not get served? Even after asking the alleged waitress that we were ready to order. Save time and your temper and go elsewhere.

Lovely decor, kind service and big menu. Only thing to remember is that it is cash only. Had the chocolate sponge and custard. It was huge and 2 of us could have shared.

Uncommunicative, asked for a decaffeinated option. Said there wasn't any but mint tea. The mint tea arrived with a tea bag in it! No masks. Cash only. Felt like you were an inconvenience

really really bad experience for today.me and my friend went for milkshakes around 4.30 pm. we ordered Maltesers and kinder bueno.while i was having Maltesers i felt little bit weird smell on the syrup or something they added on the top.but it was testy so i had it all.but just after 1hour i had very bad food poisoning (vomiting and diarrhoea at the same time) and it’s 11.55 pm while o am writing this review i am still feeling sick and vomiting. however kinder bueno was nice. i’ve tried their milkshake and waffles many times before and i loved them.but this time i am really disappointed,worst experience ever😞 i would request the staffs plz guys do the quality and food hygiene check before you serve anything to customers. Thank you

I went with some friends last week to get a takeaway. Two of us had Oreo Milkshakes and they didn't taste very good however the other two had Cookie Dough's and they said they were delicious. The milkshakes didn't taste of Oreo; they just tasted EXTREMELY sugary so I didn't enjoy my milkshake at all. The Cookie Dough's were some of the best my friends had tried so this is a mixed review. They have closed off the entire shop to be COVID compliant so you give your order at the front and they bring it out quite quickly. Average in my opinion but again, the Cookie Dough's were a hit!

Staff are jokes! Manager is very nice and friendly. Good service all round.

Good dessert but customer service was poor. Waited a good 20mins or so for 1 dessert. I think they forgot as the dessert was on the side.

Ordered dessert through Uber Eats on Friday, got my dessert delivered and to my surprise it was not my order. Called the restaurant who said get in touch with Uber Eats (48 hours after contacting Uber Eats I've had no response). Would have expected the restaurant to send out a fresh order and then liaise with Uber Eats, but that was not the case. Poor service all round and even if not the restaurants fault, they've not done anything to help themselves and shown zero customer service. Not ordering from here again and would happily give zero stars.

Some boys seem overworked and confused when taking the orders, I placed an order for my daughters and they mixed it up even after I had shown them the text message on my phone the young female staff were doing all the running and serving. Very very busy Friday evening ,they must be doing something right to be so busy.

Never been to JC b4 and never will visit again very overpriced for a dessert a curry and nan would have cost me cheaper service was absolutely terrible JC have not even joined the gov 50% scheme which would have soften the the financial blow.I absolutely hated it especially the milkshake that was very watery.It took awhile for the order to come also.

Have been several times now. Each time we've visited its been fairly quiet so not much of an atmosphere. Large amount of dessert options are available. All are okay, nothing majorly stood out as anything special

Today's experience was good, it wasn't that busy even though it Friday night, got seated pretty much straight away and the dessert was delicious. The staff are friendly and accommodating for a family with two very young children.

Desserts are just toooooo good. Fudge cake melts in your mouth and servings are big

Kids treat today, everyone came home happy! Oreo waffle, ferrero rocher waffle, ice cream cones, lotus crepe, Belgian waffles and a daquiri for the dairy free.

This place is amazing! The chocolate sponge with chocolate sauce is amazing!!! The sponge is so lovely and moist. You do get a custard option... but chocolate is the one.

We went shop they were busy we place an order it takes 45 mint after girl came and said sorry we don’t have the item you order I said it’s ok then we wait for another one after 10 mint I go and refund my money I know a guy manger was there no one say sorry anything bad service bad attitude careless because there was no owner who feel pain I just want that owner read this and ask from staff ..more then 5 people were working I don’t know what they do .. hate this

Table service was closed when we arrived at 11pm but they were happy to serve us in takeaway containers that we can eat from at their tables. Good service overall and good quality desserts.

Over hyped. Very pricey for a small portion of cake and pie that is not even freshly baked on the premises. Served with microwaved custard! Probably made from a packet mix! Sorry guys. Need to improve the quality.

Recommend the lotus biscoff cheesecake or raspberry and coconut cake with hot custard, absolutely delicious during the colder winter months. DD loves her Belgium chocolate ice cream and cookie dough. The place is family friendly and accept card payments on orders over £10.

Love this place my kids enjoyed it .. am from coventry and to come up here to celebrate my kids 7th birthday .. was amazing cookie dough was a blast thank you staff at Johnny Custard in Leicester .

Absolut uimitor local,foarte modern,deosebit de elegant,dar recomandat numai persoanelor fără probleme de sănătate,in special de diabet in diferitele sale stadii,întrucât aici întâlnim o multitudine de sortimente de prăjituri,torturi,coctailuri si,bineînțeles,nelipsita înghețată,de un gust de neuitat. Preturile nu sunt foarte accesibile,dar nu este un motiv real de a ezita sa deguști ceva după pofta inimii și generozitatea pungii tale. Overrated place, product quality and flavours missing. Everything is just one sugary sweer taste. You can't taste anything other than loads and loads of sugar.

Absolute rip off, do yourself a favour and make it at home. Worst part is the custard was microwaved.

Delicious desserts, everything we have ordered so far has been amazing from the waffles to the banoffee pie. The staff are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble for them. Also a special shout out to Amatulla for the great service provided!! :) This place is definitely worth a visit, you will not be disappointed! PS: Both branches give the same top notch service!

Deeply disappointed as I was really looking forward to treating family from abroad. I called and enquired if they had concrete cake and custard and was told they had some. I was so excited and the young lad also recommended that I buy the peanut butter stack. Instead of the concrete cake and custard, I reached home to find a jam tart covered in cornflakes with a side of cold and very uninteresting custard. The peanut butter stack was a peanut butter shambles. The lad I spoke to was very polite and my order was ready within 2 minutes of my arrival which is acceptable. I have not tried other items on the menu, but would certainly not recommend either of the items mentioned above.

I came to Johnny Custard today and was served by Umer & Ismail. They both gave a wonderful 5* service and the presentation on the various desserts we ordered was absolutely good and on point. Even the little kids had enjoyed their desserts. I would recommend Johnny Custard for those who haven't yet been and those who have been before.

Great dessert but extremely rude staff!

Overpriced and food is average I'm afraid. Not worth it, honestly how you guys get away with your prices is beyond me! Can't wait till it closes down.
