Not been to a good pub where the atmosphere has been so lively. Great beers on tap brilliant staff and plenty of seating. Did not eat here so no comment on food.

Great food & friendly service. Would recommend. They also do live music.

A wonderful meal and fabulous service especially Curtis who was polite, funny and checked in to see all was ok. A great spot for a catch up with friends and worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Popped in for Sunday lunch. We had the beef which was lovely and tender, two generous thick slices. Also had the nut roast wellington which I was told was equally as nice. The roast veg and potatoes were cooked to perfection. We shared the sticky toffee pudding with honeycomb ice cream, it was incredible. The staff are so warm and welcoming. The layout is just right, the tables are not too close to each other. I will definitely return.

Great pub with lovely beer garden and great interior. Always friendly staff whether you're there for a quiet drink, a few more or some food. Doesn't disappoint. Slightly more limited on the spirit options so if you're really into your vodkas gins etc it might not have quite what you're after but very solid nonetheless.

Went there for lunch and loved everything from the service, the food and the selection of beers. We all had something different to eat and they all were delicious also the portion sizes are generous. Langton Arms have a great selection of beers and ales as well. They also have a dog friendly area.

A return to the local of my youth. Visited on Friday night and sadly, the local mob monopolised outdoors. However, Saturday lunchtime had better behaved clientele and was more enjoyable. Still a great pub and welcoming staff.

All in all pretty good. I'm hard to please but would definitely go again.

Best pint of Tiger I've had in ages. And the food was exceptional. Steak & kidney pie with lovely steak and plenty of kidney in it. Steak & kidney pie with real kidney is rare. Mrs fish was excellent too. Proper pub Good beer Splendid food You won't be disappointed

This is quite a versatile pub. The bottom end is an old fashioned drinker, the top end a comfortable restaurant, with an extensive garden for sunny days. The food is above average for the city pubs and a bit cheaper than the country pubs. Portions are good, and the quality decent (though not interesting enough to write a rave review). It's hard to do worse than this in the area.

Lovely Sunday Roast. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

First of all car park full even at 6.15 Sat evening and only just managed to get parked up by our allocated booking. Welcome was great and all staff were attentive but lost a point for clearing up other diners plates sat at the table and reaching over me whilst I was still eating in which I found very rude. Food choice wasn't plentiful and appeared mediocre and over priced for what it was. All meals came out and looked like they were from a Saturday cheap dinner cafe apart from mine.I had a meal from the specials menu but certainly wasn't worth £19 for what looked like a very small piece of chicken and was dry as slightly overcooked.The pub was very full and very noisy and looked very overcrowded and we couldn't even hear each other speak in our little booth and populated by alot of students and young adults and children running where they could and shouting.This should've been a nice birthday celebration but sadly the atmosphere wasn't nice so we had our meal then paid and had drinks elsewhere. Certainly will not be recommending here anytime soon.

Booked a table for 6.30 on a Saturday night. Found the place really noisy. Found it really unpleasant experience. We struggled to talk to each other. Also thought the food was a little over priced.

Had never eaten here on a Saturday evening and it was absolutely buzzing so the staff were certainly kept busy, but my friend and I received excellent service and didn't have to wait long at all for our order to be taken or for the food to arrive. On a previous visit one of my friends had ordered the Chicken Porto and really enjoyed it so I decided to try it for myself. The chicken was succulent and tasty with a delicious mushroom and port sauce, accompanied by green beans which were perfectly cooked, and roasted cherry tomatoes on the vine. My friend opted for the Cradock Fish Pie which I had had on a previous occasion and highly recommended. She was not disappointed (but make sure you're hungry if you order this as the portion is huge!) For dessert I chose the Plum and Frangipane Tart with Rhubarb Ice cream and my friend went for the lighter option of Mango and Passionfruit Sorbet. Both were excellent. The chef clearly has his act together and the front of house staff are friendly and efficient and really made us feel welcome. Although it was rather noisy, it was nice to see it doing so well in these challenging times and I shall definitely be back.

Ordered cod and chips not sure the cod was fresh looked like a frozen piece but I ate it and it was like something you could buy from Aldi not flakey but pushed and shaped. Won't bother again.

I've been going for years beautiful lovely atmosphere lovly place to take the kids plenty of parking and a good amount of disabled spaces staff are top notch always coming to see if the food is ok and if there was anything else that they can assist u with

Wonderful hosts, delightful & flavoursome menu! I'll do my best to keep this short and sweet.. we were there for a wake, so the atmosphere was up and down. A little drab as one can expect. That said, we were not only lifted by those around us at the table but also the staff, the food which was divine.. on all counts if somewhere is noticeably good when you're that low.. imagine how wonderful it would be on a normal day. I would definitely suggest.

When I asked the Cradock if I could book for my wedding reception on May 4th 2024, I knew it would be good - a bar, a famously good roast, it was right near the church, and has a lovely old fashioned ambience. However I was not prepared for just how spectacular it would be! I would have been happy with some food and music, but events manager Kurtis made it clear from the get go he was committed to giving us a special day - meeting with us to walk through a schedule, offering to decorate, and even moving around the tables to get the most out of the space. On the day, staff set up the decorations (which they did not have to do - special shout out to Jay), and rearranged the tables. The kitchen staff served up a gorgeous roast (everyone was raving about how well done the potatoes and beef were), and a vegan chilli option too. The canapes later on were also incredible - we went with oriental chicken, pulled bork buns, and onion bhajis, all great flavour and done to a tee. Unfortunately I don’t have names of kitchen and bar staff but special shoutout to them too! Everything was on time and smooth running. Food out, then microphone out for speeches, then tables cleared and moved aside to form a dance floor, desserts and canapes out, bar service excellent. I’m sure there was much more hard work behind the scenes too. And value wise it was superb. Overall I got the impression that the team are very organised and dedicated, and they had a very nice friendly touch which made all the difference. Huge thank you to the amazing team at the Cradock for the effort that went in to making our day unforgettable in the best way!

Popped in on the off chance for dinner, it was busy but staff sorted a table for us. Food was excellent, I had the fish and chips and my husband had Chicken Portos, all very tasty. Staff were friendly, would definitely eat here again.

Went tonight for dinner with a friend. Lovely patio, beautiful in the sun. Really liked the menu. It has a really good variety, not just the typical pub classics. Had the roasted veg salad and whipped feta appetiser and both were incredible!

Very nice pub. From the outside it looks small but it's massive inside haha. The staff are so polite and friendly, very helpful too. I really enjoyed it here. Next time we will go for food, we just stopped by for a drink this time.

Thursday night impromptu meal with a friend. The staff were lovely and looked after us. We both had the pie of the day as it sounded lovely and it was. The food was hot and very well presented. We were so full we didn't have dessert. Was easy to park and although busy the tables were well spaced so you don't feel cramped. We had a lovely evening.

My daughter just had her wedding at the Cradock m. Afternoon meal, reception and evening food. The ceremony was at a church just round the corner and she wanted a pub style venue. As we had eaten there a couple of times, enjoyed the food and knew they catered for private events in the bottom bar we thought we’d ask what they could do. She spoke to Curtis their events manager, by his admission the pub had rarely put on any weddings. She would have been OK just to book the lovely old beamed room with a meal, sort out some music and have a party but Curtis was determined from the off to give her the best wedding experience the pub could. He was great in the build up working with her requests and easing any stresses. And the day could not have gone better. The pub dressed the rooms to her exact specifications, laid out all the decorations and flowers she left them with, set all the tables to her plan  and the staff that worked all day could not have been more attentive. Huge thanks to Jay and Patrick and the chefs. Everything went perfectly, the food was great, any minor issues were sorted immediately (a louder speaker for the dance floor appeared within a minute of asking), the drinks flowed and everybody had an amazing time. And value wise it was superb! Thank you Jay, Patrick, Curtis, all absolute diamonds and the Cradock for making my daughter’s special day so brilliant.

Excellent quality traditional pub food plus interesting small plates and bar snacks. The mussels starter was one of the best I've had, the hummus, lamb, whipped feta small plates were delicious. Others had steak pie, fish n chips and chicken burger, all were great. Very good service too in a comfortable and well designed area separate from the main pub.

Went with family and friends for my birthday for Sunday dinner. The dinner was lovely and service was great. I visit the Cradock often and the mussels are out of this world and id recommend the tacos they are so nice

If you want to watch people feeding their dogs from their plates this was the place to go today. My Mum was not impressed and nor were we. Veggie food nice. Staff welcoming but we didn't finish our meals due to the revolting behaviour of the people and their dog next to us. Apparently there is a 'Dog Free' zone in the Restaurant but no hint of that at the time. Ask carefully about your spot for eating !

Fantastic Sunday roast. Myself and friends had a mixture of their pork belly, nut roast, and the 3 meats roast. They were all fantastic and incredibly delicious. I would 100% come back here again. Their Guinness is also very good.

It is what it is. Great for larger groups or parties. Service is sometimes found lacking. Decor is decent with some individual ideas. Carpark is ample and a fair sized outdoor seating area. Not exactly a romantic or cozy pub.

The best pub food in the area-but calling it pub food is a bit disingenuous as it really is better than that- restaurants standard. I had the stuffing filled belly of pork absolutely delicious my Wife had the duck breast which she said was superb.

Good food, children's portions generous, service a bit slow at peak times. Calm atmosphere, not filled with rowdy patrons at lunch time, more older adults playing dominoes

i just returned from The Cradock today 02.02.2024 I am a fish and chips lover I travel a lot and I try it everywhere from here to Australia The Cradock fish and chips were probably the best I ever had . please never change what you're doing bravo

Popped in for a late lunch whilst visiting our daughter who is at University in Leicester….We were seated by Curtis who was very welcoming and professional. Drinks orders were taken and they arrived promptly. I ordered the Ham Hock Croquettes which were very good. For mains we ordered the Gammon Steak and the pie of the day which was Chicken Chorizo and mushroom. The pie was excellent. The food arrived piping hot. We were looked after by Finn who was again very professional and attentive. Overall an excellent dining experience and we will definitely return when in Leicester.

Very tasty spicy lamb dish shared with friend 1 taco and 1 loaded fries highly recommended. Not too spicy good mayo dressing. Services perfect worth the tip very accommodating.

Really lovely, family-friendly pub with a cosy atmosphere in spite of its size. A nice garden and gazebo in the summer and roaring fireplaces and mulled wine on offer through the winter, what more could you ask for? The lovely young lads at the bar are a real credit to the business. No matter how busy it gets - and it does get very busy at times - nothing is too much trouble and service is always with a smile. Drinks are very reasonably-priced and there's a good selection of snacks, too. I'd like to see soya milk as an option for hot drinks and maybe a few more options in the restaurant for vegetarians, but other than that, this pub is excellent for families, couples, singles and community groups alike.

Absolutely love The Cradock Arms! We were a party of 25 for my 49+1 Birthday Sunday lunch on 7th January 2024. Kurtis and the team were fabulous! They catered for everyone with dietary requirements and we were all very well looked after. Our pre booked meals were delicious and hot and the service was outstanding! I took my relatives (from the USA) here a few weeks ago and they were blown away by the amazing Sunday lunch! I can’t recommend the Cradock Arms enough for their hospitality, service and the amazing quality of food, all in a lovely pub. Thank you for making my day so memorable and we’ll be seeing you again, very soon, possibly every Sunday!! Thank you!

First time coming here last Sunday and was very impressed with the whole experience! Quick service, food was incredible. I would recommend the craddock roast to anyone and the desserts were equally good. Will be going back!

Brilliant pub/restaiurant. Great friendly, efficient service, superb food (home made pies wonderful), fantastic beers and amazing decor and ambience. If I had six stars I would score it six!!

I didn't get a chance to Try the food as this place was extremely busy when I went but the drinks were very reasonably priced and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I will definitely go back and check it out again

Fabulous venue outdoors and indoors with great food choices. My beef lasagne was absolutely the tastiest one I have had for a very long time and the rest of our large group all enjoyed their own menu choices. The service from the gentleman running 'front of house' was first class in every way. I will certainly be back with my own family in the future.

Held the wake here after Dad's funeral. Staff were lovely, good food, really well organised. The only problem was the man small steps on uneven floor levels which we kept tripping up over.

Amazing roast and great service👌🏼

Went today to celebrate a family members birthday but most of us were served almost cold food plus side dishes ordered were also cold. 2 of us waited a very long time for the meal to arrive. The Cradock had requested we let them know in advance what we all wanted to eat which we did a month ago, but, the service just wasn't there today. The staff waiting on were lovely & offered us free drinks which was proof of the very poor service. I've had luke warm food there before so sadly will not be returning to eat there again.

A family celebration for 9 on a crowded Friday evening. Bar service was amazing, no waiting despite the numbers. Our meals were all ver good indeed. Starters were larger than expected and main meals were a good size too. Excellent service and all priced very reasonably.

We regularly visit the craddock as it’s our local and we love it. Sometimes just for drinks and about once a week in the restaurant. The menu changes regularly and the food is always excellent and reasonably priced. All the staff are fantastic. Highly efficient friendly and far superior to any other pub in the area. The garden is lovely also especially for a bar snack or cold beer on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

Great venue and more importantly, a great member of staff! Always looks after his customers. He has a great turn of phrase - and very accommodating! Thoroughly recommend

Visited here with seven colleagues from work for lunch. I must admit I thought “oh no” when someone suggested a chain pub. The food was surprisingly good and enjoyed by all. Service was good as well.

Great traditional style pub offering great ales and excellent food. Always a great atmosphere with lovely staff who are always friendly and attentive.

Doing a distance learning course at Uni of Leicester which requires attending some face to face sessions, so was staying at near by college court. Had phoned ahead and reserved a table which was a pain free and friendly experience. Ended up with people arriving at random times to eat and all of us before our booking. Pub was very accommodating and the food was excellent. Only downside that, despite the first to arrive confirming they were on the table I had booked it didn’t get marked off and we were given a different table so I got a call just as we got home asking if we still wanted the table. To be fair the gentleman handled it very well but did feel guilty that a table got wasted in a busy night. Overall great experience and would encourage others to go Thank you.

Nice pub with friendly staff and a good beer selection. The garden is perfect in the summer. The food is always delicious but worth booking a table as the restaurant gets busy.
