Excellent food cooked by Ree. We had Giant gyros between two and it was delicious. Just one comment. There could have been a bit more chicken gyros. It got a bit lost in the vegetables, the fries and the salad. But very nice.👍

Lyn was fabulous. Burgers and pudding were Delicious however my friend did not like the chicken mix it was burnt and dry. But the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff are lovely

After visiting a No of times been told food was not available, thought the server until 9. Last time they said we need to book a table. Sat and had a few a drinks and 3 tables close to us had reservations on them for 7.30. We left the pub at 8.30 to go and eat elsewhere and these tables were still empty. Don’t they realise people just book incase. Understanding this happening during Covid, but think 1st there 1st served.

Ven aquí a menudo, ya que no está demasiado lejos de casa. No podía decir nada malo del lugar. Limpio en todo, aseos, bar, zonas de estar. Gran ambiente y el personal es muy agradable. También es amigable para niños. La comida siempre es buena, nunca tuvo ningún problema. Sin duda recomendaría visitar! Bonito, cálido y amable!

My steak was on the 40 % off deal....omg so was the standard of food. Sent most of the steak back...full of grisle. After 30 minutes I had to go to the main desk and asked why I had no response? Response was I will refund you for your meal. My dog would think twice about eating the steak. REMEMBER 40% OFF PRICE 40% OFF FOOD STANDARD.......HORRIBLE...BACK TO THE NAGS HEAD GUYS!!! Friendly enuff food fairly good but did wait a while and it wasnt particularly busy but was good when it arrived . Only 1 staff on bar or I'd have give 5 on service .

La comida era genial, con una buena selección de bebidas y el personal no podía hacer lo suficiente para nosotros, muchas gracias tuvimos un gran día

Had a meal on Friday with a couple girls, meal was good as pub meal, the waitress was really good, friendly and upbeat, nice and cheerful, makes a change from someone whose face puts you off. Thumbs up to the waitress and orher staff.

Actitud repugnante del gerente. Se sentó durante 5 minutos y luego dijo que no deberíamos habernos sentado hasta que nos hubieran dado una mesa. El tono de una actitud era tan malo que no podíamos imaginar pedir comida después de que nos hablaron así, salimos y la mesa a nuestro lado fue testigo de ello y se sorprendió. Caminamos directamente sin decir nada y encontramos un lugar mejor no muy lejos. Ella y su 1 miembro del personal simplemente deberían haber puesto letreros diciendo reservado como en cualquier otro lugar. (Tabla de 6 claramente no se preocupa por los ingresos o el servicio al cliente)

Mi hermano y mi esposa vinieron de Londres para pasar la Navidad. El fue a la tarde del Día de Boxeo de las Uvas. El pub estaba muy ocupado, pero el personal del bar inmediatamente les gritó “lo que es tuyo” y fueron atendidos inmediatamente. Al ser de Londres no están acostumbrados a un servicio excelente, buena cerveza y vino tinto, y siguen hablando del precio en comparación con el sur.

Visité aquí el martes 18 de octubre. No he estado aquí antes y no volveré. El gerente fue tan grosero acerca de un cliente que había devuelto su comida, ya que era inadecuado para comer. El gerente primero maldijo muy fuerte en la cocina porque no tenían algo. Entonces lo escuchamos Grita al chef , no digas perdón por ese plato de comida ya que preferiría perder al cliente . Entonces nos dimos cuenta de que el cliente habló con el gerente y el personal como si hubiera estado yendo allí durante siglos. Luego hizo otra observación cuando se fueron. Su comportamiento fue vergonzoso y tan poco profesional. Nunca volvería a este lugar

The food was ok , the issue is the waiting time, 45 minutes and the place wasn't packed, I've waited longer before that in the Grapes, they need more staff, and then they forgot we had ordered 2 deserts , won't be going back, is this down to the Manager,? it's not the staffs fault,

enjoyed quiz night at the grapes and our dinner. skillets are very cool, veg is really tasty. i had the cluckin burger, cooked perfectly. quiz was a laugh will be back.

We have tried to book in 5 tines and on every occasion there's been a problem either there's a delivery or there's a problem in the kitchen, no staff or the chefs late.. poor way to run a business. We travel to.get here too

we have been to sizzling pubs in the past so we have an idea what to expect. on the day of our booking we had a phone call to say that one of the ovens had broken so some items would not be available and that they were short staffed. but we still opted to go as were where a large group and it was a Saturday night we are so glad we did yes there was a bit of a wait but all the meals where very good we had a selection of meals including the gyros, burger, gammon steak ,fish, sausages and curry all the meals were cooked to a very high standard we then had some pudding including the chocolate brownie good portions and again very good special mention to Lynn our waitress who was very helpful

Beer garden needs major attention. Very scruffy and neglected. Disappointing.

Should have known not to order a sirloin steak but did - asked how I wanted it - stated ‘medium rare’ Took nearly forty minutes to come, it was so well done that the cow has been cooked for it’s next three afterlives. Tough as boots. Friend had fish n chips and was ok, so stick to pub grub familiarity if you order food.

Called in with a friend after playing a round of golf. We both had the fish and chips with mussy peas off the value menu. The food was excellent, good portions and the fish were huge. For £11.75 for 2 meals, you can't go wrong . Well worth a visit, highly recommended .

Had the unfortunate experience of trying to eat here on Friday, our food arrived a starter of chicken wings were overcooked and burned, along with our starter our main arrived, my partner ordered a medium steak, what she actually got was an overcooked lump of grissle, my main was wrong, I don't place any blame on the waitress who was very helpful, we still hadn't ate our starter when my main arrived a Gyros platter, basically what I got was a burned platter of chips and various chillies, my partners replacement steak returned but was exactly the same overcooked lump of grissle, we decided at this point to leave, the worst food I have ever had, I shall not be going back, I'd suggest everyone give this place a very wide berth.

I visited at the weekend for my Mothers birthday. The lady who served us was very nice but that was about it. The toilets were awful, needed cleaning. The food was not very good at all. Salmon was over cooked and too much seasoning, so you did not taste fish only the spice. My Mother had Hunters chicken, she left most of it. Total disappointment as it was my Mother's birthday and also she had been in hospital and this was her first time out. Such a disappointment!!

Visited for some food. Richard and the team looked after us well and the whole experience was wonderful.

So we booked the grapes for a funeral. They were brilliant just can not thank them enough for all they did for us. The process was easy and they looked after us all day and evening. The food was fab and plenty of it. They kept the tea and coffee coming all day. The team were great thank you for making a hard day that bit easier.we had the bronze buffet and added a few bits to it.

Had food with my family here, the male manager was more concerned running around the bar than listening to I and my wife telling him our food was cold. Used to be a great pub until this guy came in. Crap, worrying how down hill this place has gone. Being threatened by the owner after sharing my experience just sums up exactly what I thought. Looking forward to being reported to Google. Horrible from top to bottom.

Walked in having previously tried to book days before, Told minimal food 1 hour wait.and despite being six of us told we could only be served in groups of three.!!!??? Made to feel unwelcome and like it was my fault we checked in. Unfortunately had ordered drinks, so had to stay and finish. Went to Nags Head and totally different approach. Understand now what's wrong with the hospitality sector and the grapes personifies perfectly.

Extremely disappointed in this visit When we arrived, it wasn't busy and as I was by grab machine with kids near bar, I could see no one had ordered in a while I ordered and went to our table to wait. Cue nearly an hour later and still no sign. 2 kids all day breakfasts& a loaded rare steak with sweet potato fries Spoke to whom I presume was bar manager who after 2 minutes came back and said it was just getting plated up. 10/15 minutes later, it arrived. The kids looked nothing like breakfast & not sure what happened with toast Mine? Onion rings were soft, rare steak was tough and I left half, sweet potato fries were lukewarm and soft so didn't touch Very disappointed

There was only one person serving behind the bar and one person serving food. The bar was completely littered with empty glasses. We have visited the grapes a few times in the last few months, we like the atmosphere and the food is really good. We asked why there was a lack of staff and the answer was that the brewery would not give enough hours to potential future staff to make it worthwhile to work at the Grapes. We watched people leave when they noticed that there were upto six people waiting to be served and there was a one and a half hour wait for food. We find this disgraceful. MITCHELLS AND BUTLERS need to address the way the run this pub/restaurant before they lose all thier customers to another pub/restaurant three hundred yards away (The Nags Head) The manager worked really hard to keep the customers happy but we felt the pressure on him and the only person serving food was too much.

I attended The Grapes in Thornton with my family. I havent been for a while but I was glad that I came back. As soon as I came in I was given a warm welcome. Throughout our visit I noticed that the music that was being played was brilliant. The food and drink were excellent. Plenty of choice and well worth the money. We will definitely be back

Ian was amazing and got the food order rushed for Us as We only had limited time. Jaquie was really friendly and cooked the food to perfection. Highly recommended.

A generic chain pub, lacking real ale (Doom Bar only, plus lager, John Smiths, gin, cocktails, etc) and offering typical fare, including jerk chicken skewers, various nacho flavours, fish and chips, mixed grill. Experience was elevated by a friendly server, Jacqui, who arranged a bowl of chips while waiting, even though they were short staffed. Free parking and easy access.

Enjoyable pub, food is great value for the price, we had a mega mixed grill and the jerk skewers, waited 40 mins, but pub was busy so no problem. never came here before but it was recommended by a friend, will definitely be back !!

brought our grandchildren here for there lunch at the weekend before going to the Christmas markets with them. they love there ice creams and the kids coloring competition, very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere for people with children, food is always nice and staff are always friendly

Meal for 12 booked, kitchen very busy so delay on food but staff continually communicated with the party. Excellent service, lovely meal & very reasonable prices. Really pleased with all aspects. Will defo come again
