Bentleys Restaurant in Sefton

Went for a family lunch and had quite average food at an above average price. I was very unhappy about being told "I really must sort the track and trace thing" when I asked if they wanted my details.

We organized a family lunch in July for 50 family members in the Bold restaurant. The restaurant was extremely responsive with all of our questions and changes of plans in the months leading up to the event. On the day the quality and presentation of the set menu provided far exceeded our expectations, and Vince and his team could not have made the day any smoother for us. Especially given that a sick child meant that different people were being served and eating the different courses at different times! We chose the Bold as it was the restaurant my parents ate dinner the night before their wedding, proving that the quality of service that the Bold provides hasnt changed in over 40 years. Thanks so much to the team for making a special day even more special for us all.

Nuestra cena en el hotel restaurante audaz ( no estoy seguro de si todavía se le llama Bentleys ). La comida era excelente y muy caliente. Mi esposa tenía filete de cadera como plato principal, que era tierna y sabrosa. Tuve el pastel de carne con cerveza que también era tanto tierna y sabrosa. Nos tomamos una copa en el bar antes de nuestra comida . El área del bar es confortable y está bien decorado, el personal muy atento. Sin duda recomendaría este hotel a cualquiera que visite Southport o gente que se concentran en el centro de la ciudad en vez de North End .

En un día con viento muy fría después de caminar por Lord Street buscando una comida caliente que no contienen pasta vimos carteles al asador. Teniendo en cuenta el infame tiempo el lugar estaba lleno. Nos sentamos camarera venía tomó la orden y bebidas desapareció encontramos ella sirve detrás del barshe no pudo volver y nos tanto pedí la rotisería a £6,95 por 1 platos. Buena selección de 2 carnes y verduras frescas, etc. Pagamos un total de £17.00 incl café y té. Una bonita experiencia agradable volvería un cambio agradable de patatas fritas, etc.

día soleado. Decidimos sentarnos afuera los intrépidos hotel y disfrutar de una comida ligera y una copa de vino. Nos sentamos y esperé, y entonces nos dimos cuenta de que nadie sale a tomar tu orden . ¿Cómo podríamos saber que me supera. Aunque sirven su comida fuera y recoger sus platos . Finalmente nos enteramos de que tienes que ir al bar y lugar su pedido . Eso era cuando me topé con el desagradable miembro femenino del personal del bar. Ella me hablaba a saludar I podría colocar una orden . Ella me ignoró totalmente y hablé con una persona me senté en el bar. Afortunadamente otro miembro del personal (male ) ver lo que había sucedido intervino y ayudaron a la situación. Luego cuando estaba poniendo mi pedido . Ella gritó al otro lado del bar "El gerente es detrás de usted si quiere quejarse." La comida fue excelente . rico tarta casera de carne y patatas fritas y ensalada rústicas tarta queso de cabra delicioso

had a lovely late lunch with friends service was fine although it was busy, mainly we had sandwiches and side orders of chips and a few drinks again nothing fantastic but service and food very pleasant and would certainly go again, would like to try a evening meal so can write a bit more.

This was my favourite place in Southport for breakfast; it was very good for meeting family and friends. Every item was freshly cooked, but on the last three occasions the bacon and sausage seemed to cooked a lot earlier perhaps for the Hotel Guests. I having been using and recommending the Bold Hotel for breakfast for over 10 years. Friends and family have also commented of this drop in standards. I am extremely disappointed that standards have dropped. It has happened once before when they flirted with the all you can eat breakfast but luckily it didn’t last too long. On one of the occasions mentioned I complained about the bacon only to be told people like crispy bacon. I considered the bacon to be dried out. We did receive replacements freshly cooked. The staffs are still extremely pleasant and helpful. I hope The Bold will return to quality items freshly cooked to regain its top place on the breakfast venue list.

Called in on 27th March, have been previously and it's much nicer now inside, new, clean & bright! ...but....ordered one carvery and a liver & onions from a quite plain menu. I waited a while before going for my carvery, which was OK..the meat was very good, the rest a bit boring, some nicer veg please!! my friend waited 25 minutes from ordering to being served...I'd eaten mine!! which isn't very good as we were supposed to be having lunch together, she got liver, onions and mash...what happened to being served vegetables!!...it looked very bland and unappetising on the plate, but she did say it tasted OK. Think they need to get their act together, not enough staff and it wasn't even that busy!!!

Visited with friends, sat in window and good views of Lord Street. Meal was presented well and service was attentive.

We called in here after a shopping trip to Liverpool.We had a very pleasant evening and will certainly go again when we stay in Southport.The bar staff and waiter were very friendly and very efficient. We had the best Calimari and chilli dip I have ever tasted,followed by Beef Stroganoff for myself and Pork chop with Black pudding fritter for my husband.there was a very good selection of food on the menu and the specials board. All this plus a couple of glasses of reasonably priced wine made for a very pleasant evening. The bar man even used his own mobile phone to arrange a taxi for us.How nice to have such an enjoyable evening in comfortable surroundings.Can't wait to go back

Nice atmosphere. Decent service. Just called in for a pint and ploughmans. Plenty ofcheese pickle warm bread. Coleslaw and pickle tasted home made. Change out of a tenner. Can't complain

nice staff in bar and restaurant, nothing was to much trouble and the food was out of this world and happy staff made a good lunch and we tried ,one evening meal with out the kids and was so nice just to sit looking out of the window and watching people going by

We had chicken curry, cheeseburger and sausage + mash. The best meal we had the whole weekend. Service was amazing, friendly and welcoming.

very large menu , food first class as was the service even though it was really busy, staff very helpful indeed
