I am certainly not surprised they are having to close. Family & friends have frequented here on more occasions than I can recall, consequently spending a vast amount of money. As seen in other reviews, we too experienced Roger's totally unjustified anger issues, this was witnessed by many who, after he had reduced us to tears, shared how they too had seen standards drop, staff being treated poorly as well as several having been on the end of his temper. I definitely think retirement is the best thing for all as it will enable Roger time to seek help for his anger issues and maybe his wife will be able to find her smile that left years ago. As is clear from previous comments, he will never accept any responsibility

Vaya, este es un hotel precioso, sólo una pena que el Chef Luke Hasty, de Firstwave, se niegue a pagar las 600 libras que debe por el trabajo realizado, una pena absoluta que estuviera empleado o lo siga estando. No me voy Luke. 😁

Lovely friendly pub with great bar staff and a cosy fire - also really well decorated for Halloween. Well worth a visit, we will be back!

shrimp burger is amazing and so tasty as well as the mussels and the steak! last time i visited London the restaurant was closed! ad i was so disappointed! so happy to find out that the restaurant opens again!!

It was so lovely to beak at Baliffscourt. It was as good as we remembered since our last visit. We went as a last minute booking with our dog. From the minute we walked in the service was amazing and Millie our dog was welcomed too! Food and service was amazing ….we didn’t meet one member of staff who was lovely and friendly. Some names we got were Andrew Chris and Michel who were just amazing but the whole team contributed to our wonderful munch needed stay. Thank you.

I have eaten here before and the food was excellent, but I decided to bring my new partner along and stay for the weekend. We booked the Exmore suite which has a 600 year old four poster bed. Have to say waking up in the morning and looking out of the window all you can see is lovely Greenfields and it really does make you think that you’re in the middle of nowhere. There is also a footpath that leads up to the Beautiful Quantock Hills. Breakfast each morning was available at 8 am and I have to say you need a healthy appetite to get through that. A full English and as much toast and coffee as you can drink.. we went out each day and had a great time and we both look so forward to going back and having our evening meal at the pub which was always delicious. Saturday night was live music, Irish singer and the place was packed to the rafters. We were made to feel very welcome by the locals and had a very, very enjoyable night.. Sunday started with Breakfast and then he went back to Taunton to explore it further, which was very enjoyable. I come back early afternoon for a Sunday lunch.. I can say the beef was to die for with Beautiful roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding lots of different kinds of veg and of course amazing gravy. My partner being a vegetarian went for the. Beetroot tart which she said was amazing and must say it did look delicious.. Thank you very much to the landlord landlady and of course the staff . We both had an amazing time and we will definitely be back..

Lovely cafe - great coffee and delicious sandwiches. Super good value. I popped in on the way to Great Dixter and thought this place would make a great local. :-)

Vino a tomar un desayuno. El rollo de desayuno y específicamente el café era increíble, Nespresso en Paisley High street 👏 si alguna vez estoy cerca de nuevo no iría a ningún otro lugar. Fantástico precio también.

Just awful from start to finish. The staff were rude and entitled. No understanding of the system. Waited over an hour for food and had to reorder as it hadn’t gone through first time even though money had left our account and had receipt, the order hadn’t been passed to kitchen, Outside there is the worst fish pond Ive ever seen. The fish are suffocating in disgusting conditions. Extortionately over priced. And service aberrant!! No apology or acknowledgement of the bad experience.

Overall correct but below our expectations: the blue cooking required for the beef was limited, the accompaniments not very elaborate or sophisticated and the industrial sauces (what a shame!) Plates generously served. Certain whiskey references presented on the menu were no longer available and obtaining advice is not easy. Approximate but attentive and friendly service.

If you want a doll’s house cup of coffee, then this is the place to go. Had Americano in other cafes, but never in such a small cup, very weak coffee, no crema. Wouldn’t have thought it was machine coffee, Nescafé Azera is better….The toasted tea cake was excellent, a good size and texture. Nice atmosphere and interesting displays etc in the Heritage centre.

My family hired out the function room for my mum's birthday. Paul and his team were great with organising everything and the food and drinks were amazing. We had a lovely time and she was really happy which is the main thing! Thank you!

Qué lugar encantador, tenía una buena copa de champán, el personal muy bueno y amable te hacen sentir muy bienvenido. Recomiendo encarecidamente y volveremos.

First time here and food is amazing- staff are very welcoming and friendly- will defo be back for another visit and to try the battered crème egg
