If you want a doll’s house cup of coffee, then this is the place to go. Had Americano in other cafes, but never in such a small cup, very weak coffee, no crema. Wouldn’t have thought it was machine coffee, Nescafé Azera is better….The toasted tea cake was excellent, a good size and texture. Nice atmosphere and interesting displays etc in the Heritage centre.

We have gone to this cafe regularly with the family up to six of us. Today there were three adults. The manner I was treat by the dark haired girl with side pieces of hair trailing around her face was disgusting. I knew what I wanted to order she asked me to sit down and she would come and take our order. We did this then she proceeded to serve the person behind me and then started to unpack an order. At this we walked out and it will be some time before we go back especially if she is there. All the other staff when we have been there have been lovely but her manner was much to be desired

We were staying at the nearby Dog Inn who do not offer breakfast and we were recommended to go to the Old Station Cafe which was only 250m away. The recommendation was inspired. As a group of 4 mature adults we had the best breakfast experience ever. The menu is extensive and the welcome is very friendly. One guest had the full English Veggie option; two had American pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup and I thoroughly enjoyed the Greek Yoghurt with berries and granola followed by scrambled egg on luscious brown toast with bacon.and grilled tomato. Tea and coffee was also on offer. The service was prompt and very attentive and the ambiance was first class. A great Cafe that should not be missed for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. Well done to all the team. Regards, Alan F Bolton

The man who runs this cafe is so lovely. He honestly is probably one if the main reasons they get repeat custom, as it is expensive. Service today though was by another employee, and unfortunately lacked the finesses they usual show. I had to ask to get my table wiped, ask fur my drink, as it hadn't arrived when my meal came, and the person who served me was inexperienced and verging on rude. (He may just have been shy and new to customer service. ) I was disappointed I didn't get the manager, however others did get the service I hoped for. I will still return, the soup and sandwich was lovely. I think everyone needs to come here and see if it's for them, modern coffee houses lack the comfort and personality this place provides.

Pretty cafe on the main road in Longridge. Has a certain charm as it is the old station and platform. The menu was limited and I suppose this will be blamed on covid but not sure why this would affect the menu. The choices were on boards attached to the wall. I thought it was a bit cheeky to charge a £1 extra for salad with your sandwich. I ordered a bacon barm which arrived exactly that, no dressing just a barm cake cut in half with bacon in. Not very appealing but tasted fine but overpriced. Would not go back

My experience here was spoiled by being scalded with burning hot tea when the young waitress poured it over my hand, shirt and leg! She then said Oh sorry and walked off!! I rushed up to the counter to find cold water and was then helped by another member of staff to treat the burns. No apology and no free cup of tea to compensate for my half empty, cool pot. Shirt is still stained. ALL cafe staff should be able to quickly treat scalds. Food I had was fine but quite expensive for a sandwich. Won’t be going back.

Had a wander around Longridge and was drawn to this pretty little cafe which served meals and snacks. Situated in the old railway buildings, there is an inside area in the old waiting room and an outside conservatory area which we chose - good place to sit, eat and relax. We had a panini and a bowl of soup and bread with hot drinks. A minor point which is true of many places that serve soup, it was really really hot and had to wait a while before starting to eat it. Both snacks were delicious and the service very friendly. There is a great range of greetings cards as well. Nice place to visit!!

We stopped for a cup of tea and a snack in the afternoon and it must have been coming up to closing time as there was not much choice and little interest in serving us. It was only 3ish so not sure what time it closes? There is inside and outside seating and it is a quaint old railway carriage presumably where the station used to be with a small railway themed shop attached. We ended up with a pre wrapped biscuit and a cup of tea so we were very underwhelmed!

We arrived in Longridge shortly after 3pm on a gloriously sunny Saturday afternoon and spotted this place as we parked the car. What a lovely location for our afternoon brew we thought, but by the time we had done one errand, we rolled up to find a sign in the doorway which said 'we have stopped serving' - at 3.25pm! What is it about the peculiarly British business practice of refreshment spots closing so early, while there are still potential customers around? We went across the road to a cafe which advertised its closing time as 4, which isn't much better (and the closed sign went on at 3.55). But at least we got our afternoon brew without having to drive on and seek out a Costa, Nero or McDonalds, which serve for so much longer but invariably make us sad that we aren't able to support local business despite our best efforts.

This is in a lovely situation and part of a local heritage display. The cafe is clean and spacious, the staff friendly and service good. We had a lovely view over the gardens, presumably the former platform and tracks, and this looked lovely in the spring sunshine. The coffee was ok, not great but ok. Didn't have anything to eat but menu looked OK. There was a major issue with the toilets when we were there - at least 2 closed and one of the other 2 was very reluctant to flush. Don't know if the toilets are the cafe's responsibility or the heritage people's.

Also decided to try the 'guest coffee' which I can’t recall what it was, but well brewed, wasn’t bitter and tasted very nice :).The service was swift; we wasn’t left waiting long for our food to arrive after having placed our order at the counter. I really do not know why I have not reviewed this cafe before. I pop-in when travelling from my home to friends in East Lancashire and meet a companion there on occasions.First impressions are that the setting is functional which is appropriate for what was Longridge’s railway station building. If you are lucky, you may find parking on the main street off which it is situated, but only for a snack due to time limitations. But, there are cheap parking facilities nearby anyway and you can relax a bit more. The place is invariably busy in the morning as this is a convenient meeting place in the centre of town. I have tried items both off the main menu and off the specials board and have yet to be disappointed. My favourite lunch snack is potted shrimps served just warm on brown bread with a light salad accompaniment – delicious. However, you must leave room for one of their ample and lovely puds – sometimes mistakenly shared !!Well done. You deserve your success.

The off the bone carved ham - thick and moist, fruits and balsamic dressing on the salad, well portioned, sweet and home made (or it looks to be) caramalised onion sauce goes perfect with it all - would suggest they provide a small soft or cripsy bun with butter to round it all off. However if you go late in the day they could have run out (so why am I writing this Hmmm?). Other treats are mostly home made dish's and soups. We were to busy turning off to park, to see it as we actually past it, so we went off up the street in the opposite direction, so we saw more of Longridge than we originally planned. Once there we found a table, jumped into some seats that had just been vacated. Ordered a chicken and bacon salad, and quiche and salad. After a bit of a wait, two tables that arrived after us got their food first which I was just about to mention, when our food arrived. Both meals were delicious. The salad here includes grapes and oranges, though I think the choice is salad or crisps with sandwiches, most cafes you'd get both. Ordering and paying is a bit difficult due to the layout at the counter as you are conflicting with food and drink orders being prepared and taken out. This would probably be OK usually, but doesn't work well on a busy Saturday lunchtime. The homemade cakes lived up to their reputation, we tried the coffee and walnut, and the carrot cake, both were delicious, with an extensive coffee and tea menu, I'm sure we,ll be back. The waitresses are all very friendly too.

I have visited the Old Station several times for coffee or light meals. Never been disappointed.Lovely clean surroundings with outside seating in the summer. The staff and locals are very friendly. Great selection of coffees and teas. The cakes are home baked and delicious and the light meals perfect.Added interest of the displays on the area's history. This is how every cafe should be run.

A warm welcome always awaits you at the station cafe in Longridge. They have a wide selection of seasonal food, always tasty and well presented. Most of the meals are made on the premises daily. I particularly recommend the quiche, the shrimps and any of the puds.Do make sure you are in early for lunch as this popular place soon fills up.While you are there you can browse the photos and artefacts on display at Longridge Heritage Centre, which is in the same building.

The Old Station Cafe in Berry Lane is in the centre of Longridge, housed in the old Station, an historic building which has been beautifully restored. Read about the history of Longridge and browse through the cards and gifts and then sit in the conservatory cafe and enjoy delicious homemade quiche served with a lovely salad. A wide selection of other food is available, including a splendid breakfast. The produce is locally sourced and very fresh. All the food is prepared with loving care. The delightful service typically reflects the friendliness and warmth of the people of Longridge. There is a specials board and there are very tempting homemade cakes, biscuits and deserts. The cafe has a bright and cheerful atmosphere and is very well supported by the locals...always a good sign. The cafe overlooks pretty flower borders, tended by volunteers and tables are available outside. Longridge also has a number of very interesting boutique shops and is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Take a trip up to Longridge Fell after lunch to work off the calories. I thoroughly recommend this lovely cafe which I have tried and tested many times and have never been disappointed.

Spent an evening here with some friends, staying elsewhere. First up, it's uphill, and I mean uphill, to get here but the views and the service were easily worth it. Kaitlyn (really hope I remembered this right) properly looked after us. Thank you.

My wife and I came across this quaint tea shop quite by chance, as it is on the outskirts of the village and laid back from the road behind a small cobbled forecourt. On entering we found it contained eight tables and quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. We ordered coffees and sandwiches which were made to order and absolutely delicious.I shall definitely return and tell my friends about it.Im not certain of the opening hours,so will need to check before I return.I thoroughly recommend it.

Great food, great service, reasonably priced. Would recommend. I ordered the ox cheek pie and husband ordered the fish and chips which were both lovely, being really picky the mash were a bit on the dry side, but I would still recommend.

This was not our first visit to the Calf’s Head but it has to be the best meal we have ever had. It was a large family gathering and despite the size of the party the service was friendly and efficient. Looking forward to a return visit, hopefully not in the too distant future.

I tried to order a full English breakfast without a few items and they wouldn’t swap me anything and tried charging me a extra 1.50 so I thought man 10er for my breakfast that’s a bit steep . So just got bacon and sausage baton and I got one bacon one sausage for 5.50 and to top it off it was cold and chippy sausage. Joke off a place will not be going again . And there is dogs running around in the kitchen
