Stonebridge Chippery in Ribble Valley

Fantastic chippy. Freshly cooked produce, great quality, big portion sizes, fantastic staff, win win all round!

We travel about 12 miles to visit Stonebridge Chippy and we go there regularly ..... always well worth the drive. On a sunny day, you can sit at the little tables outside, which is lovely .... but even if it`s raining and you`re eting in the car, it`s still great as the crisp, freshly-cooked chips are always delicious and the fish is second to none. Someone said they might also be opening a cafe next door .... which will be brilliant if they do. Some of the best Fish and Chips in Lanashire in our opinion !!

We travel around 8 miles from Cottam to get food from this chip shop. We have several chip shops located in close proximity to us, but Stonebridge is by far the best. We often have to eat in the car but this is a small price to pay. During peak times, evenings - Friday/Saturday, be prepared to queue. Items such as fish, nuggets, burgers etc. need to be ordered on entry. Pricing is fair - I wouldn't say overpriced by any stretch of the imagination, I'd go so far as to say it's as 'cheap as chips'. This really is the best chips shop - above Bill & Bens, Umbertos, West End, King Kod, The Wee Chippy, Mr Eaters ... all the other chip shops in Preston.

Visited here on a Thursday evening in May. Parking was a little tricky. The queue was dealt with quickly and in a friendly manner. The fish was creamy with crisp batter and freshly cooked. The chips were cooked to a turn, fresh out of the fryer.

This was a special treat for my son, but it was disappointing and expensive for what it was. The fish was very nice but the chips were horrible we had all the Scraps definitely won’t be coming back to this chip shop. The staff were nice too but the meal was poor they could and should have done a lot better. After hearing about what people had said we decided to try this!! Unfortunately our meal was just not up to it and was poor! You can’t put scraps in and the chips weren’t even that hot, they also looked like that had been back in the fryer some were burnt.

I go there every Friday, staff are very nice, helpful and quick, my takeaway is always well wrapped so never cold when I get home and it tastes just great, I always have a pot of curry and my wife has the peas, both are just the job and keep hot in the polystyrene cups, cant fault this chippy

Great place - crispy fish and chips, lots of options and extras available, good sized portions, good value. Parking is available on the forecourt in front of the shop but getting on and off it takes a bit of care. I used to go to fulwood, where there are also good fish and chips to be had, but this is now my go-to chippy - in my opinion best in the area.

Just called in this Fish and Chip shop when passing and ordered chippy meals for 8 people just off spec. Have to say the service was excellent, Everything already prepared and the lady serving had it all down to a fine art. the fact that it was a largish order didn't faze her a bit This was all whilst keeping a correct social distance with people queing outside, no one seemed to have too long to wait. By the way the food was hot, fresh and scrumtious

No discount for front line staff ! Great to support local businesses but seems like a one way street super busy so must be doing a killing II waited 45mins dont know the attraction food poor fish was soggy batter not crispy chips average peas cold.

We have been having fish and chips from here for a long time as we live near by. I like to order a lightly battered fish as soon as I go in. Everything is hot and fresh and cooked to perfection. The service is excellent and friendly. It’s a real treat to get a chippy tea from here

We used to have a weekly treat for the family every week. The past few months it’s been very hit and miss, mostly miss. It used to be consistently good but now you just don’t know. No longer crispy batter, mostly soggy. Chip’s mostly soggy too. Seems to vary who is frying on the night. We don’t visit often now, which is a shame.

A great little chippy. The food always seems fresh and the cost is reasonable. We always go for the small potions which are big enough to feed us without wasting any.

Always good but also always busy which is a good thing but does mean that you will have to wait. But all good things are worth waiting for!

What can I say, good chippy, freshly cooked food, friendly and efficient staff, good value. Would recommend if you are in the area.

Depending which staff are on tnhis can be an excellent chippy, if its the younger kids i change my mind and go make tea at home but when it is the more mature lady that worked at tonys for years it is fabulous she makes sure your fish is cooked fresh as are your chips, instead of serving the luke warm ones that have been sat there for half an hour.

Can't beat the food from here! Always busy but never have to wait long, good prices. Staff can be a bit miserable which is a bit of a downfall but can't beat a good chippy tea from here!!

Good chippy and always busy. Has room to park and you get good portions every time. On request you can get gluten free chips

A good chip shop with comprehensive menu.situated just of the roundabout at stone bridge, but parking can be a bit tricky. better parking in side street and walking,

Good food with some good offers.would recommend the food.. Staff could be a bit more cheerful though.

Vine a probar este hoy como "fish and chips" de Tony estaba cerrado. El personal podría hacer con el servicio al cliente y habilidades sociales. Como servicio amable y sonrisas eran nada mal!! Las patatas fritas estaban bien. Sólo sirven el bacalao o gambas, y el bateador abadejo no era muy muy pobre y pasada.

This is the best Chippy in Longridge period. The food is decent and not badly priced,to be fair the new owner has improved the food and reputation of the place.Staff are friendly enough and the queue soon gets served...if in Longridge area this is the best English fish and chip shop..there are better around just not round here!

Después anteriormente dando buenos comentarios he visitado 3 veces desde entonces, y sin duda los estándares han decrecido, probablemente debido al propietario casi nunca de estar allí ya. Personal joven overcharginfg cuando pregunta ella agarramos la calculadora para controlar y después fuimos a supervisor para comprobar luego slamed restitución correcta contador para mí, preguntó si era caliente y fresco, patatas fritas, ella dijo sí y luego dijeron que no fresco suoervisor sería 6 minutos... No personal la confianza que no tienen ningún interés en la calidad de la comida y el servicio al cliente. Se quejaron al dueño sobre calidad y tiene mucho peor ya y giot puedes oler el aceite de forma estupenda la mitad por la calle de Derby. Lo siento, pero volver a tonys top chippy donde puede confiar en el personal y el propietario

Esta fue nuestra primera visita aquí y no nos decepcionó. Te obsequian con un ajetreado viernes, pero la cola cambiaron rápidamente, así que no tuvimos mucho tiempo para esperar. Personal muy amable, que se tomaron su tiempo para hablar con mi hijo de 4 años, mientras me sirve eficientemente. La comida era fresca y caliente y envuelto para nuestro viaje de regreso a casa.

Me vienen aquí si quiero un "fish and chips" que va a llenar me preparaba para el día. La comida es muy buena y incluso mantequilla ambos lados de las barmcakes. Las pequeñas cosas que contar a veces. Aparcamiento no es la mejor, pero si lo que quieres es un buen "fish and chips" en seguro que encontrará un sitio para aparcar. El personal es estupendo y muy limpio

ha mejorado mucho en los últimos propietarios, patatas fritas son siempre excelente. Aconsejaría a la orden levemente toda rota pescado ya que es excelente de lo contrario, puede ser un poco pesado. Ahora el mejor "fish and chips" en Preston longridge/

Not bad at all. Good prices and a decent enough chippy menu. Just be careful when coming out of the door as the lazy locals like to drive on the pavement so that they dont have to walk far.

Stonebridge Chippy has the best fish and chips around! We love the lightly battered fish. Chips to die for!

Not bad but I personal am not keen on their chips. Fish and Pies are spot on. Great location if you need to stop and park and run.

The management has changed this last week , so were just waiting to see if the quality will remain as good and if the hours will be extended

Down side is lack of opening hours. Needs to be open longer hours at night and during lunch. Chip barm are second to none
