Forage in Wiltshire

Very good lunch, busy but were found a table quickly. Staff we dealt with were all excellent, special thanks to Amelia who recommended the BBQ chicken with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. Will be another addition to our favourite lunch spots..

Lovely staff lovely coffee and cake….. but music always up too loud… night time pub volume rather than day time coffee….

Poor service with very few staff. Shown to a table so squeezed in that we could smell the ladies perfume. We asked for a table with a little more space. It was clearly ALL TOO MUCH TROUBLE. Finally given a different table but no sign of someone to take an order. After waiting almost 15 minutes we gave up and left. Will not be going back!

Fantastic range of gluten free options in an appetising menu. Today’s choice of the beetroot risotto with goats cheese and walnuts was an exceptional mixture of flavours and colour.

Great for meals anytime but breakfast? Well if you are lucky enough to have their French toast you are in for a treat. Simply delicious, home made brioche with maple syrup and bacon, got to be the nicest one I have tasted. Always a pleasure eating here.

A good Sunday roast is a rare breed these days, and often you have a good one somewhere and then a few months later for whatever reason, it's disappointing. Let's hope that doesn't happen to Forage, something of a hidden gem for Sunday lunch just outside Corsham. The restaurant itself is stunning. You get used to the idea of a Sunday roast in some fusty dark pub, but this is all light and airiness, with a lovely Mediterranean-style terrace area (in the right weather!). I had the half chicken and my husband had the beef. The chicken was very juicy and his beef was perfectly rosy. Everything was seasoned to perfection so no need to reach for the salt and pepper. One of my pet peeves about mediocre Sunday roasts is that the roast potatoes are not done properly. These were proper crispy fresh roasties. Veg on the side was excellent - crisp tenderstem broccoli, cauliflower cheese, roast parsnips, buttered carrots, and (slightly overly sweet) braised red cabbage. The gravy was very nice and they served extra in a jug without you having to ask - a nice touch. The staff were efficient and friendly. It wasn't cheap but I don't mind paying for quality food and service. I'm keen to go back and see if the rest of the menu is as good as the Sunday roast!

Great Sunday lunch, great staff, great service and catered for Gluten Free with ease. This review will not be long as there are not too many ways you can say how amazing the lunch was. Will deff be back!

Fantastic all round - loved the black pudding! Breakfast ends at 11 ish, then lunch starts at 12, so we had a coffee and cake while they prepared the kitchen for lunches, then had a light lunch too, followed by a shopping spree in the main store! Fantastic day out

We have been before a number of times and their Sunday Roasts are exceptional. My wife booked a Fathers Day meal for the three of us. Disappointed to find that no Sunday Roasts only a BBQ. Waited a long time for our drinks to be told that they only had 1 person serving drinks for a large restaurant. Our BBQ arrived but sadly the chicken was undercooked as was the chicken on the table adjacent to us. Send the chicken back (2 BBQs). Finished the meal and then one tiny chicken breast appeared on a plate - naked. I asked where mine was - sorry we only thought it was for one! So waited another 10 mins and the same again only for a piece of chicken that was totally undercooked. I had to ask a waiter to escalate this and a rather stressed manager came out only to tell me that the first piece of chicken was in fact cooked but the second was indeed undercooked. She please for me not to send this back again! I asked for it to come back with some of the salad etc and eventually it did (3rd piece) I told them that I expected two free desserts (I would have rather they suggested it). To be fair the desserts were delicious and they didn’t charge us for two. The main problem is they have inexperienced and very young staff who really don’t understand customer service. We will be avoiding for a considerable time until we are satisfied that they have upped their game

We were so impressed with out toasties, dessert and coffee that we went back the very next day for a full Sunday lunch. Gosh we weren't disappointed! Absolutely fantastic meal with definitely plenty of everything. The chefs here clearly give a lot of thought to the menu's. I highly recommend. Just one comment - I'd always recommend prebooking the Sunday lunch as whilst we were there, they sold out of it all!!! I REALLY pleasant experience. 11/10

Lots of potential but extremely slow service. Our hot food manage to arrive before the cold drinks. Unclear if you order at the counter, or at the table and then how you pay. Also no menus so had to guess what was available.

We had a wonderful roast meal today for a birthday celebration. The meal was outstanding with great meat and a fantastic array of vegetables. Great service and atmosphere.

This is our local “ go to place” Great for lunch, morning coffee or afternoon tea. ( We have even been for breakfast which is delicious) The food is always good, the staff friendly and so hard working. It is so nice to be welcomed and even though they are busy they make time for the customers. Today Beverley made time for a chat which was so kind of her. No wonder we keep returning. ( It is the only place that serves a properly hot Hot chocolate)

A fantastic Mothers Day meal - absolutely faultless. Friendly, prompt service and delicious food. Also very accommodating of two fussy children! Forage has a wonderful ambience - it’s certainly our favourite place to eat.

We were seated fairly quickly, but the table was sticky and we waited a long time for our order to be taken. One waitress was welcoming, but the others were terrible, especially the older waitress with the blonde curly hair - very lacking in customer service skills, bringing this review from 3 stars to 2. After being served tea with a leaky pot, lunch was ordered and the food didn't take too long. It wasn't bad, but not worth the price. No dessert menu, just told to "go and look at what cakes are left". After asking for the bill twice, it became apparent that payment is taken at the till, which wouldn't have been any trouble if the waitress had simply told us that, instead of snapping "yes!" and rolling her eyes. The restaurant itself is a nice setting, but it's let down by dirty tables, loud kitchen staff and rude, innatentive waitresses. We weren't fussy or demanding customers - very quiet, patient and polite. But we felt treated like some kind of problem. Definitely not returning, which is a shame as it could be such a nice place.

Let me tell you about my visit today I was greeted by a lovely lady at the door with a clip board, she was warm and welcoming the staff were attentive and the food, The food was delicious hot and prompt, I would recommend coming in for there cakes as the Crunchy flapjack is to die for! We turned up on spec and thought we'd just do take away coffee as they were so busy. The staff who greeted us found settee seating upstairs where we thought we'd just look at the menu. Decided to eat and as soon as a table became free the very helpful staff upstairs moved us to a table.
