We were staying at the Premier Inn on 8 May as we were watching Andre Rieu at the Ovo a few minutes walk away. The Thyme is part of the Premier Inn. We were booked on the meal deal package and had booked dinner for 5pm before the concert. When we arrived at the restaurant there was a huge queue of people all booked for 5pm before the concert. There were lots of free tables but only two waiters so they couldn’t use all the tables and the service was incredibly slow. We waited 40 minutes before eventually being given a table. Then we had the wait to order the food and then wait for the food. The food was ok but again the wait was long between courses. We only had two courses but still didn’t finish until 7pm due to the wait for the two courses. The concert started at 7.30 so we just got there in time. The two waiters were very nice and doing their best but the place was completely understaffed so we felt quite sorry for them. Breakfast the next morning was better, it was quiet at 7.30 when we attended ironically but had more members of staff. The place was convenient because we were staying at the hotel but the restaurant experience was hugely disappointing. Some people had booked for 4.30 and said they got a table straight away.

The hugest, heart-felt thank you to Kim and Wendy who made my Mum’s 94th birthday celebration such a wonderful and memorable occasion. We enjoyed afternoon tea on 17th November at Mulbury House in beautiful surroundings and honestly the whole experience was outstanding. We are not easy to cater for as there were 2 vegans and a pescatarian in our party but nothing was too much trouble for Kim and Wendy, they didn’t just go the extra mile, they went miles beyond. Thank you so much ladies! We loved the experience so much, we’ll be returning over Christmas.

Banbridge Ladies Netball Club held our annual awards night in the Belmont Hotel on 7th May and what a fantastic experience we had! Ian had the hall set up perfectly for our arrival at 530pm that evening, the food was served efficiently at 6pm and was absolutely delicious with plenty of choice from their buffet range! Michael could not have done enough for us and made sure our 192 guests were well looked after and catered for, this number of people was absolutely no bother to the Belmont at all! Every single member of staff was polite and friendly! We have already booked to host our anniversary gala dinner here in September and we will definitely be using this venue again next year for our awards! We’ve had great feedback from coaches, players and parents! I could not recommend the Belmont highly enough! Get your event booked here… you won’t regret it!!!

Our order was forgotten, no apologies when we eventually queried it. Girl gave me a dirty look, and when coffees came one was banged down on the table and coffee slopped in the saucer! My friend had to return hers as it was v lukewarm! No napkins provided and had to ask twice for glasses to pour water in! Untrained or v tied staff?!!

Attended this place today with my family. Absolutely vile how my husband was treated and spoke to in front of other family's and small children and in front of my child with extreme autism by the owner who serves carvery to the extent staff had to tell there boss to carm his behaviour. This was all because my husband put 5 stuffing balls on his plate and the owner disgustingly started to use extreme foul language which was uncalled for then removed by hand which wernt covered by gloves for hygiene by his bare hands and put the stuffing balls back in the pot. I approached the staff to see was there any limits for the food item mentioned above as when paying for the meal you have to pay extra for pigs in blankets we was told no via staff so my husband then went to get the item and put it back on his plate to have the owner aggressively slam the carving knife down in front of my husbands hands this was in-front of other customers and this is were staff intervened and told him to carm down as children was crying due unhinged aggressive disgusting behaviour by the owner whilst he was swearing. When I approached a member of staff I felt as they was in shock by what they had just seen. This behaviour is unacceptable by all means. I doesn't give me the option of leaving a no star in order for my to write this review I had to select the minimum

Had a fantastic value for money afternoon tea. Small tasty soup, selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones with jam and cream and various cakes and treats. Big thank you to Amy who served us, a credit to the company and Chris who took over when she finished her shift. Amy was such a pleasant, attentive and obliging staff member who made us feel so welcome from arrival which helped make our exoerience so special Thank you
