1st time here, opted for the veggie breakfast in the end, a nice choice and a good daily specials menu too! Have to return to try more. Nice friendly staff and good layout inside. Would have given it 5 stars but the kitchen was fairly smokey and that ended up inside where you eat! Maybe best to eat outside if you don't want to smell of cooked food.

Had a Mother’s Day brunch with family. The cafe was busy but the food and service was excellent, thank you. Hope to return again some day.

Been here a couple of times in the last few weeks and not disappointed. Good food at great prices, two course specials for £8.99. Staff all pleasant and good atmosphere.

I often call for a sandwich at lunch or a take away salad box. I love the quality of the ingredients, salad boxes are so delicious, every time fresh, healthy ingredients.

What's wrong with a pot of tea with 2 cups? Curtly told to sit, twice, no time to look at cakes. Nice tea. Fresh cakes. Chill

This building has such character and we love the open fire and the positioning of it overlooking the village. The Sunday buffet had plenty of choice but the meat was cut wafer thin and seemed a bit mean. Customer service was practically non existent. I can’t comment on the menu as we only had Sunday roast buffet and there was a good choice of meat and veg. Good value for money. A good time was had by all. I hope the new owners can make a success of it.

The food was very tasty. However, as we brought our dog with us, we had to have the food as a takeaway and eat it on some picnic tables outside, I did notice that the disabled toilet was out of use leaving only the ladies & gents in use however these both had a step up to them so wheelchair users would not be able use them.

This is possibly the best English Breakfast I have had for a long time. Not what I was expecting at all. Great portions, lovely people and service. If you like a hearty breakfast this is the place to eat. Enjoy!

If you are one of those people seeking a pretentious gastropub where the servers explain the concept of their offerings, where 'chef' has personally foraged the leaves in the Wildhedgerow Salad and prices are index linked to the Fat Duck at Bray then I'd give the Cornish Arms the swerve. Although I'm sure the woodburning stove would look ab fab on your 'insta'. If however you are seeking an excellent meal at sensible prices served by friendly staff in a delightfully rural setting then you might like to seek out this little gem. If you find it then please don't tell any of those folks who are down 'just for the weekend', before leaving their cottage empty for 40 weeks of the year while the local populace are desperate for housing, where it is. Some things are best kept for those who truly appreciate them.

Great welcome from friendly landlady. Lovely warm Fire, dog friendly and fantastic food. Can't fault it. Third visit and will be back to try the Rest of the Menu.

Beautiful little place. Lots of unique gifts- I did spend a small fortune, but have some lovely items to show for it and items were not made in China! Beautiful setting which made our stop for coffee and cake (scrumptious) all the more special.
