The best restaurants serving Asian food in East of England

Foods always good, delivery informs you on progress and pleasant delivery man. Good to have something not so traditional and a little bit different Defo recommend I’m so glad I tried it and continued to use them since.

This resturant has no alcohol licence, there is a Tesco store next door, Raj provide the glasses and do not charge corkage. Food is 10 out of 10. Reasonable prices, Staff are very friendly.

They made an exception and delivered to Beeston for us which we were so pleased about. Arrived on time and delicious, amazing food. TIP: So many people would order if your delivery was further out to villages, PLEASE think about it.

The ribs could have used more sauce, and the char siu had too many vegetables and not enough pork. The pancakes were decent but seemed microwaved, causing them to stick together and tear. The duck and chicken balls were both good, while the fried rice was more boiled than fried but still had a decent flavor. Overall, it was okay—not the best place ever, but it got the job done.

What a shame. Always lovely food and the waiting staff are a delight but for some reason the manager is really blooming annoyed to be there. Annoyed to see you arrive. Annoyed to take your order. Annoyed to deliver the food. Even annoyed to take your money. Give up and hand the business over to the sexy firefighter: she’s a laugh.

My family went here for my mums birthday and in terms of taste, this is the nicest curry in Bishops Stortford. HANDS DOWN! Chicken tikka masala, the English staple, was absolutely faultless. So tasty. Onion bhaaji, garlic naan, and garlic and onion rice were absolutely outstanding. The food was genuinely incredible, making this review a 5/5. The meal was more expensive than alternatives in Stortford, but I genuinely think the quality is worth it. But don’t drink in there, pints are £7 and even soft drinks are £5. I will say, the restaurant knew it was my mums birthday and didn’t do anything extra or special, which surprised us. And there was only one waiter in the entire restaurant. It’s not a huge place, but at one point there were about 10 tables filled, so service was slow at times, but the guy was trying his best! Overall, a brilliant meal and a restaurant we will 100% be returning to.

Fantastic food. Went as part of our curry club. Over 14 different curry houses on essex tried and this will be top 3 in scores. All the food was lovely and we tried a variety. Clean although toilets could be nicer. An excellent night.

Real Thai food, absolutely delicious, I'm slowly working my way through the menu. No disappointments yet. Lots of classic and modern cooking all in the great atmosphere of the local pub. I can't wait to choose my next dishes

After looking at the reviews, we head out to the restaurant and unfortunately it was a bad experience & a costly one. We were given a table ( 5 of us ) , the initial impression of the interior looked lovely, the auto rickshaw parked inside was a good photo opportunity. Looking at the menu card like very high premium prices, but thinking they supposed to be tasty food, enough for all, we ordered about 10 starters, all came late and not hot, a portion of rolls (2) costs an eye watering £7 ( it's 75p each usually) £7 is way exaggerated price that wasn't proper ceylon rolls either.. the pork dish also didn't taste any good and very small ( yet highly priced ) alongside the spicy fried squid,that was bland with peppers on top. Moving on to drinks, the glasses were full of ice and 330ml can soft drink that costing over £5, the ordered wine glases were OK, standard. Main menu, we were told there are no mutton dishes served,eventhough menu card said & moreover there was no biriyani dishes was on the menu, there should be no srilankan restaurants without biriyani, to our surprise options were limited, so we ordered chicken kothu, again it tool nearly an hour to serve ( the restaurant was about 20%full) and local parking had 2 hour limit we expected the lunch would not take 2 hours but there was lot of waiting, eventually the kothu main was served , surprise again, far small potion of it,it's enough for a child but not adults,we had to hurriedly eat and leave without feeling full or content, the kothu was spicy but lacked ingredients. The bill was in our view, based on places we have eaten srilankan food was double & it was a bad choice going to this place. We don't think the food & drink served both in quality and quantity justified of the price was charged and the unacceptable delays in serving food. Sorry I would give no stars for ruining affer family get together Sunday lunch. But the 2 stars for the friendly waitress.

Finally!!!! I moved to Cambridgeshire before Christmas and have tried numerous curry houses and they have all been very disappointing.......until I tried Shelford Spice. Being from Cardiff, I'm quite a curry conisuer over the years, I Wouldn't say I'm fussy but I do expect a tasty, flavoursome, beautifully spiced dish, and this place ticks all the boxes. A little spicier than your normal dishes I found, but not too overpowering. Madras was perfect, the wife's pathia was a little spicier than normal but she still ate it all, because it was so tasty.It will become my regular now, so I will go through the menu, because I never know what to have, I like so many different dishes. Roll on tonight, I can't wait. Also delivery man thanked me for my tip, which was very welcome. Keep up the good work guys. Also when food was delivered (7 miles away) it was piping hot, which I was worried about, so well done 👍👍

I am so disappointed. Ordered collection , was given chicken instead of a vegetable makoni and I haven’t eaten meat in over 10 years…. Called up and they said they’ll send it soon.. half an hour goes by and I call again. They say give me 20 minutes and that I could have rice with my curry because everything was cold. An hour.. an hour later and I just get my food and guess what NO RICE! Called and he was unbothered and careless on the phone. £30 down the drain and I tipped! Never ever will I order from there again! Quite literally shaking with anger at how careless they were at giving me meat

Extremely disappointing. Food arrived barely five minutes after ordering, which makes it obvious it was only just microwaved. The texture confirmed it—rubbery, lacking freshness. Won’t be returning.
