Food was pretty bad, would send pictures if you provide an email? Otherwise we will contact them direct. Food really wasn’t as advertised. Korma and chicken tikka massala were unlike and We’ve had before. The korma was basically a lumpy almond paste

Worst food- nowhere close to be classified as Indian… they simply have no clue what a Roghan josh or Jalfarezi taste like. Their only recipe is “just mix tons of shredded onions and tomatoes and mix some sauces and spices from here and there and heat up and serve it. They are def not legit.

Today I found this place looking to buy pizza for my son and I was absolutely amazed by the quality freshness and how rich in ingredient the product is. Absolutely amazing taste and texture! My name is Florin and I live near this place. I will absolutely be back to buy pizza from now on

Beautiful crisp popadoms, excellent mint sauce and amazing dips but the star of the show - chicken tikka let you down very badly. It was dry. In no way succulent and the spices appeared to be burnt onto the outside. I was so looking forward to this, but even when softened by the mint sauce it had little effect on the meat - if it had been cooked at lunchtime and reheated that is exactly what I would expect. So sorry for both of us.

First time at Shelford Spice. We were aware they are not the cheapest but it's always nice to try somewhere new. On collection I could see the kitchen was spotless and it was clear that the extra costs were going towards fresh higher quality ingredients. when dishing up this was apparent. Our three year search for the local holly grail of curries is over.

Always have a good meal from here. Curry was good, but disappointed my lamb curry only had 3 pieces of lamb in it! Although this won’t stop me ordering from here again.

a bit disappointed, tried for the first time instead of my regular. the naan wasn't as nice, not fresh tasting. Raita hardly any cucumber, very small warm salad. Also I wrote a note not to ring or knock as my dog goes absolutely mad and takes ages to calm after , and there is a sign on the door saying the same, but the courier rang the bell even though he had seen me at the window. no point having a box to write instructions if they ignore or don't read.

Initially we thought Shelford Spice had set the benchmark for Indian Takeaway in our local area. Sadly, it now seems easier for them to reduce the amount of meat in a dish and pack it out with sauce. Having raised this as a concern directly with them having received the order, there was a question about whether we were aware that they had to ensure how much meat went into their dishes and even we were questioned whether we appreciated how much meat was used. As a gesture of good will we were offered complimentary onion bhaji on our next order, seriously! We won't be ordering again from them. Clearly customer service not a priority.

fantastic. if your staying in the travelodge fourwentways I'd recommend these for delivery. first class order, food was hot, tasty and they phoned to say they were nearly here as requested. only critique, could have done with more garlic on the garlic nann, otherwise perfect. will be ordering again tomorrow. thank you.

My partner and I eat from here often and have tried exploring multiple different Indian and Bangladesh restaurants and still come back to Shelford spice. It's still our favourite, the food is fresh and delicious and cooked to perfection. Some people grumble about price but we feel it is competitive and of much higher quality so its only right you spend an extra couple pounds for a much better meal. We always have lunch the next day out of it. No curry out of a bottle here!

The second time I've had take away from here, and both times they've tasted great! Delivery was timely and the food was nice and hot when it arrived. This time I asked if they could do a paneer biryani and it tasted fantastic!! Would definitely recommend!

Not only did our delivery arrive very hot but they were also able to make ammendments for me without difficulty for an error I had made on Just Eat. First time ordering here. After reading the reviews, we thought to give benefit of the doubt and try it - food was extremely disappointing, some of the dishes were barely edible (most of the food ended up in the bin).

Can you please make the chicken tikka masala less sweet please it is incredibly sweet. Tastes good but way too sweet.

This was the first time we had tried Shelford Spice, We are located in Cherry Hinton, It's approx 3.7 miles & 10mins Shelford Spice is pricers than most indian takeaways, I had couple of Plain Papadum and Chutneys 1x Mango Chutney , they were ok. Sheek Kebab x Salad you get 2 Sheek Kebab, They looked colourless & under cooked not alot of spicy taste, the salad is 1 very small tomato & some green leafs no cucumber bland very poor, not very heat hot :-( 4 Lamb Chops Salad very small tomato & some green leafs no cucumber bland very poor, Mint Sauce very expensive Lamb chops for 4, nearly ( £8 more than where i usually get my food) They looked very nice with cooked peppers & onion, Now they were very tough and chewy , but sauce/paste was very tasty, but they felt like they had only just had the chill taking off them, Bombay Potatoes looked and smelt very nice, however the potatoes where new potatoes in there skins cut in half, ( they looked & tasted has if they where just boiled and then the sauce just add, I have never ever seen or tasted Bombay Potatoes like this, and hope not to again, £3 delivery charge which is reasonable and 10 pence for Carrier Bag. Would i try again no

I’ve never put a take-away in the bin before. Service was good, the shop looks nice and it always smells amazing from outside. Despite this the food is not good. Like other commenters have said- it’s far too sweet, and we put almost everything (except the biryani which was ok) in the bin.

Me and my girlfriend had the best takeaway we’ve ever had. The food was on time, the driver was kind and thoughtful, everything was hot and it just tasted amazing. There were no faults at all. I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone and will definitely order from here again. Thank you so much for the food

We ordered for the first time last night and wow, probably one of the best curry’s we have had, highly recommended and we will definitely be ordering again, the curried noddles are a must have, the curry’s we ordered was packed full of flavour. The staff where so lovely and friendly taking our order, even the delivery man. Thank you for a lovely meal 😀

Thee nicest curry’s we’ve eaten. We haven’t found a decent place for a curry is years. Husband tried some of your food a few months back, and this afternoon convinced me to try some for our dinner this evening. Even our son enjoyed!

Probably the best curry I've ever had. You get loads of meat in meat dishes, large portions and great flavours it is an absolute delight to get a curry from here and feels like a real treat for the whole family.

Had a takeaway this evening, it was absolutely gorgeous. The chicken in the jalfrezi was so succulent. Will definitely be ordering again.

Food was the nicest I’ve had in a long time. Peshwari naan was stuffed with filling and Lorna was bursting with flavour. Driver was 5 minutes early and gave us a voucher for next time plus some free food. Definitely eating here again

Just ordered a delivery after hearing great things - wow, what a flavourful curry! I had the special Shasklik Masala - down expect a British Masala with lots of coconut/cream. This was absolutely delicious. The spicy baby potatoes brought the heat and levelled up on standard bombay potatoes. Really great meal - thank you guys! I will be ordering again- despite having an Indian in my village!!

Our favourite takeaway restaurant, possibly ever! The food is always delicious, the kitchen/front of house spotless and the staff are so polite and friendly. Love their easy online ordering and that they remember their customers using this system. Always a treat when we don't want to cook!

I ordered from Shelford Spice not long after they opened & I was not impressed. Today after seeing my neighbour coming back from fetching a Curry. I thought I don't want to cook tonight, I will give them another try. I ordered Madras Lamb Curry, Special Rice & a Popadom £16.40. Verdict, the meat was very tasty tender & it just fell apart , top marks. The Special rice , nothing special, but the gravy was very watery, in fact in places it looked like clear water. Overall. I will not be going back for a 3rd meal

Got a menu through the door and thought I would give it ago with my son. Ordered online for home delivery. When it came it smelled good. When opened the chicken tikka massala I was shocked to see no sauce and a few bits of chicken about 6 which is hardly anything for 11 pound odd. The food was not hot even tho only live 10 mins down the road. The rice was bland , the papadums was salty, the bombay potatoes was tiny and again no flavour. The garlic naan had no taste , may of well just orderd plan. Would not be coming back here again. Waste of money for low quality and bland food.

Delicious! The guys working there were super friendly and gave us advice on what to order and what naan goes best with what dish. The butter chicken with the pashmiri naan was really good so thank you for that combination recommendation. The other food was also very very tasty. The mango lassi was amazing (it was so good that my family kept trying to steal it). Our order was ready within 20 minutes so it was easy breezy. I will definitely be returning 🤩🥳😁

Got a selection of starters and sides to try out. Chicken tikka was mediocre, lamb chops cooked to death, dhal was bland and watery, saag paneer just weird (paneer and frozen shredded spinach in a very sweet jammy sauce. 5yo loved it, inedible for adults). To be fair, the seabass was actually quite good - nicely spiced and well cooked which is not easy in a takeaway. Still the bad definitely outweighed the good. Also, our food was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes when ordered (not at a busy time) but actually took 40min, I guess it took a while to really cremate the lamb chops...

This was our first time. The food was excellent, fresh and very tasty. Definately will go back.

Recently had a fabulous takeaway from Shelford Spice. All the food was great and really high quality. We tried one of the chefs specials - tawa chicken - which was so tasty and would recommend! We will definitely be ordering again soon!
