Great attentive service as always. We were warmly welcomed and the food was delicious. A bonus for us is the extensive choice of vegetarian and gluten-free dishes for my parter. I'm a full-fat meat eater, and am well catered for too! Lalbagh is now definitely our eat-out restaurant of choice.

My wife and I decided to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary at the Lalbagh Restaurant. We decided to go when it was quiet so booked a 5:30pm table for 2. When we arrived we were warmly greeted at the door and were shown to a small table in the corridor next to the kitchen entrance and close to the front door. The rest of the restaurant was empty at this time. I was disappointed by this table choice and should have asked to be moved to a nicer / quieter location. It is the sort of table you would expect to be filled last when there is no other choice! For this reason I have dropped one star in the rating. However, everything else was excellent. The popadoms were fresh and crispy, the main courses delicious, the portions were ample, service attentive and the brandy coffee to finish was divine. Our dinner lasted 90 minutes which is ample long enough for us but some may find it a little rushed. All in all we highly recommend the Lalbagh.

Great taster menu. Out to celebrate my brother’s birthday. A group of 10 was no bother. We all had great service, fantastic food from the very attentive staff. Able to accommodate dairy free, gluten free menu without a fuss. Look forward to going again. Thank you for a great evening!

When we talk about goos service, amazing atmosphere (stunning) and super tasty food , cooked to perfection, then this is the place! Strongly recommended, and will return again! Ive got the sea bass that was cooked on a top level!

I love visiting the Lalbagh, it’s my favourite Indian restaurant. The service, atmosphere and food is incredible! Our service and food last night was no exception, we can’t wait to visit again!

After booking a couple of days in advance, we were given a very friendly welcome and were immediately shown to our table. Service was friendly and efficient. Our drinks soon arrived and we settled down to studying the extensive and intriguing menu. The dishes we selected were all delicious - well-spiced and not at all oily. The goat in particular was excellent. We will certainly return to further explore the menu. Just one comment: We didn’t find the ‘hot’ curries e.g. to be particularly hot so curry freaks might want to ask for extra chillies.

Asked to move table as they needed a bigger table for a booking for them to never seat a booking at that table. When moved we were placed in the back room which was freezing cold. Felt ignored as no one came to take our order. We had to flag them down after 30 minutes. When the food arrived, it was cold. Friends asked for their food to be placed in a doggy bag. They threw the food away. Wouldn't go back for these above reasons.

Oh my gosh, I adore this restaurant. We’ve been twice in the last two months and I’m already trying to work out when we can come back again. Such an exciting choice of dishes with plenty of ‘classics’ as well. My mocktail was a delightful little piece of theatre and the staff are all genuinely lovely. Would thoroughly recommend the goat kurma and the butternut chicken. We will be back!

2nd visit to Lalbagh and again was excellent. Staff attentive and fast service. Food priced reasonably, portion sizes very good, food excellent. Could not fault anything as per last visit. A hidden gem!

Party of 6 of us. 3 Vegitarians. Fantastic dinner. Every single meal, starters, mains, sides superb. Best curry any of us had ever had, and that includes several trips to Sri Lanka and India. Great service and price as well. Couldn’t be faulted.

My husbands main dish was nice but I had the butter chicken tikka and it was tasteless. And the whole meal was a complete rush, no sooner had we eaten the starter the main was there. Expensive too. Wouldn't go back

We were stopping over in Cambridge for the night after visiting Duxford & wanted a decent Indian restaurant to visit. After seeing this place on TripAdvisor and reading the reviews we decided to book a table and give it a try. We weren't disappointed! The food was absolutely amazing and the service was fantastic! Been wanting to go here for ages and finally booked to go with friends. A lovely warm welcome and great service all night. The popadoms were great and although only 4 of us, the two trays of chutneys were welcomed and devoured! The starters were excellent and the lamb cutlets were beautifully tender. This made me very happy as I ordered Lamb for main. Two people ordered their usual dishes but agreed this was the best they had ever tasted of both dishes form any Indian restaurant. Myself and my mate went for something different to our usual and we were not disappointed. The lamb in the curry was so tender and we all commented how tender and succulent the meat was in all dishes. We all agreed it was the best Indian we have had so far and can’t wait to go back

Nice restaurant, food and service were good, and definitely some nice and unusual dishes on the menu. Little bit pricey, but it is in an affluent village. It's worth a visit, and the bombay bicycle beer was lovely

Amazing curry restaurant the likes of which I’ve not found before in Cambridge! Coming from Leeds where there are loads of great curry restaurants I’ve struggled to find anything in Cambridge that cuts the mustard. That was until I found Lalbagh!

This is by far my new favourite restaurant to visit. The service and friendly staff are exceptional. The menu has a very wide range of choices, and there is something for everyone. The food itself is very tasty with exceptional flavours and of very good quality. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and I couldn't fault it in anyway. Absolutely outstanding and I will be visiting again very soon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My brother booked for my daughter, sister in law and I to go out for lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. We were visiting for the day and he chose this restaurant as he had heard about it from friends. Lalbagh is in a little village called Bourn, and has a very scenic setting. We walked in a nearby meadow after our meal and the surrounding area is very picturesque. We received a warm welcome on arrival at the restaurant, and a table was beautifully set for our party. The whole decor of this restaurant is tasteful and modern, as well as being spotlessly clean. The service was excellent and all our orders were taken and arrived in perfect time. As for the food, it was spectacularly presented and absolutely delicious. We all enjoyed everything. Please see my pictures. My daughter and I loved the deserts too, they were like delicious little works of art. Highly recommended, you must visit.

Absolutely wonderful evening having the 7 course taster menu. Every single dish was perfect- the menu so well planned to include a great range of foods. All really well presented and explained by the attentive staff. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Great value for a special night

We stayed at the Cambridge Belfry for a couple of nights and found their menu limited therefore we searched nearby for an alternative and came across Chutney Joe. However their reviews were not very good and someone on there suggested Lalbagh Bangladesh to be far better and nearby. They were very right, the food was delicious and the menu extensive with ample choice. It appears very popular judging from the numbers of People dining that evening. The prices are reasonable and the staff very pleasant and professional. I'll definitely return when I'm in the area.

Fantastic takeaway - wonderful flavours, not harsh at all, with the most wonderful tasting dhal. Friendly staff and prompt service. Will be our new go to take away.

My favourite curry house in this area!

Visited for the fist time recently, excellent dishes, all very tasty, good service, nice location with car park. Some dishes slight pricey, but this is the best Indian resto I've been to in a long while. Will be back to eat in or takeaway.

A genuinely wonderful restaurant. We've been here in the evening for the tasting menu and during the day for a family anniversary celebration with small children, and it doesn't disappoint. The black mutton and rhubarb fish are highlights for us. We will be back again and again.

We just booked a table at this restaurant for our anniversary dinner and have arrived to find there's no parking available with the only option to park in a wet and muddy street. To say we're beyond livid is an understatement, why accept bookings if you can't accomodate your customers?

Totally exceptional. Lalbagh has clearly considered every facet of the restaurant experience and makes an effort to deliver the very best. We were incredibly impressed with the attention that was given to each dish, from the very top with the starters that had a certain amount of drama to them, to the desserts that were quite fun. The mains were well portioned, well seasoned and obviously skillfully envisioned. The staff were courteous and warm, and the little (free!) touches such as the hand wipes, orange slices and evening chocolate tipped the scale to make the dining experience really quite luxurious. My final thought is that contrary to my expectations in Cambridgeshire, this experience was really well priced.
