Excellent food but caution. You get offered popadoms to start, which you agree to, but suddenly notice on the bill you’ve also been charged for condiments to go with them. This seemed a bit petty. Apart from that, everything was great incl. some excellent Bangladeshi recipes

We get takeaways from here normally ok. So my Son wanted his 18th there. We did book 11 people but the system only 9 but it was ok. However the waiters acted like they didn’t want us there and we were an inconvenience. I wish we walked out because it was dreadful. We paid good money as well. We struggled to get water for everyone and it was a fight to get any sort or service. I’ve never wanted to leave a restaurant as quick as this . Such a shame. It was my Sons 18th as well. The atmosphere was Loud and busy which is normal for a Saturday night and I understand the lack of room. A smile here and there or a little are you ok. Can we get you anything else. No one came to check if everything was ok. We were just in the way and wish we just got a take away instead. Definitely will not dine in.

Having had many excellent takeaway meals from Kaz we decided to eat in on a Friday evening. The service was excellent from beginning to end and the food was absolutely fantastic. We chose different prawn dishes which were all generous and really tasty. We took them home in doggy bags. Being able to take your own alcohol without a corkage charge is a very sensible idea. We will definitely return.

Great service, choice and food. Bring your own a great offer too that reduces overall cost. Although looks basic from the outside do not be put off. Staff very good.

I feel very sad writing this review . But after tonight's experience I'm having to . I did before leave a glowing 5star review but tonight changed that. I spent £37 my wife's dish chicken was raw pink in the middle I phoned up they know me as I was getting a couple of takeaways every month past few years.iv eaten in alot with freinds and family and spent alot of money. So I phoned up the best they can do is another dish if I come pick it up. I explained well I'm eating my dish . The reply wasn't freindly ok well see if someone can drop it off. I understand mistakes happen thats fine. But the after care was ,rude ,poor no sorry nothing. You have lost a good customer. If you said sorry gave us something extra like a drink or a rice dish for the mistake and hassle that would have been totally fine. But lack of care or and apology is not on .when I was coming few times month and recommend freinds. I personally don't think 20 per cent discount really cuts it as I'd still be having to spend money on someone's mistake. Iv been a good customer for many years .disappointed in this

I have been a customer of Kaz's in Sawston for many years now and although i have tried other Indian restaurants over the years i have never found one that has the quality and consistency of this restaurant. I have never once had a bad meal or take away in all the years i have visited them and i am not someone who is particularly easy to please. They have a great staff and owners who are very friendly and professional. They are a really great asset to the viallage of Sawston and deserve everyones support. Well done Kaz's!!

Really disappointed- have been coming here for years when visiting Duxford. Always loved it but tonight was really not good. Booked table was not ready - cutlery almost thrown at us - food was really bland and not the quality we have always enjoyed. First time ever begrudged paying the bill and did not leave a tip.

Absolutely brilliant all round. Will be returning again.

You’ve got to go a long way to better Kaz’s. Kushbo and Mirchi Massala are my recommendations if you like a bit of naga style heat, Royal Bengal for something milder with a fabulous curry leaf hit😋

I treated my son to dinner here whilst staying at the Holiday Inn Express nearby. We were given a warm welcome and enjoyed Poppadoms, Prawn Puri, Cauliflower Bhaji, Lamb Vindaloo and Rice. All were delicious. Service was excellent too. They don’t serve alcohol, but that didn’t bother us. We’ll happily return when we’re next in the area.

I had to cancel minutes before collection last night as I suddenly had to take my husband to A&E. The owner called today and we collected our takeaway this evening. We really appreciated thee we’d extra mile Kaz went to accommodate us. Thank you

Been going here for literally years now, every couple of weeks, the guys there are fantastic! The food is sublime and the venue is warm, cosy and clean. I'm never going to stop coming here and getting my personalised dish of Paneer Tikka Masala! Seriously guys, put this on the menu already 😉. Still the best Indian I've had and local, dangerous to my wallet... worth every penny!

Food is OK used to be amazing but has gone down hill over the last year

Went with 2 friends on 19th December really disappointed use to go often andxakways enjoyed Hadn't been for almost 2yrs. My 2 friends had chicken tikka masala I had chicken tikka main. Mine was OK but not the best. My friends masala was swimming in a tomato sauce that looked as thou it had come out of a tin. One of my friends who is a chef said it was tasteless I must admit it didn't look very appetising! I remember the staff being very friendly when I use to go before. The waiter that served us didn't attempt to smile once. I don't think we will be rushing back there again for along time.

Excellent food. The Lamb Kurma was the best we have had. The Chicken Shatkora and Naan were excellent! The food was fresh and perfectly spiced. We have traveled extensively and this was a great find. The service was unsurpassed and the dinning area was very nice. We will surely come back when we next visit the area.

We went for a big birthday meal. The food was amazing and we received amazing service. We had a mixture of ages from 2 years old to 75 years old and they catered for all of us. It was great and I'll be going back again

This for me is the best Indian food in the area, food is delicious and authentic.

Would well recommend to anyone that wants to find a new go to Indian or looking to experiment with curries for the first time. The staff are superb and always available to assist with any needs. For the food well what can I say worth every penny. It was all hot and gorgeous even to the last bite. Can't wait to go again.

Outstanding Bangladeshi food - the best I've found anywhere nearby

Been coming here for a while but I’ll be going elsewhere from now on. Very bland curry for the £34 I paid.

Good food. No alcohol served. Staff were attentive and helpful. Pretty expensive as curry’s go. Couldn’t afford to go often.

Went in off the street for a date night with my wife, the guys are fantastic Jay looked after us and his staff are very attentive and always willing to help. The food was amazing this is the second time here and will not be out last this could easily be our go to restaurant.

Amazing food. We found this place via a Google search. We checked the reviews and decided to give it a go, and we were not disappointed. The food was sensational. The service was great, and our meals arrived in a timely manner. The restaurant was full (always a good sign), and the staff did well to keep things ticking along. I would definitely recommend this place. It might be a good idea to book / make a reservation on weekends. We just turned up at the door but got lucky with a table for two available.

Honestly the best Indian Iv had I think ever. Hot fresh food. Loads of flavours. Waiters attentive. My only negative is wish we lived closer! Lovely lovely restaurant x

Food and service are always great

As always, takeaway ready on time. The dishes were still hot after a short drive home and all the dishes that we’d selected were very delicious.

We came here as part of a family visiting trip on our way to other places. I was looking forward to having authentic Indian food in the UK plus it was the only nearby place that offered de vet vegetarian options. The place was very nice and the service very good. We were happy with our vegetarian options too

Absolutely nothing wrong with the food on my recent visit, tasty as usual albeit it was much slower to come put than on previous visits. My main issue is with the booking system, I booked online, waited for confirmation which never came, so I rang to find out if they had my booking and could they fit us in. I was told yes. So I turn up, no table set for number of people in my party. I was first to arrive, I got asked by about 3 different staff members if I was expecting everyone which of course I was. Unfortunately one person couldn't make so they made us switch tables because they clearly had other large groups booked in for the same night but no where to put them. Obviously they had over booked the tables in the restaurant. Didn't really feel very welcome at this point which spoilt the evening. This is the second time this has happened, previously a group of 8 arrived, no table set up for us even though the booking had been confirmed. They wanted to put us on separate tables, not what you want when you're out as a group. Unfortunately this lack of customer care let's down the yummy food and would put me off booking a table there for a while!

This restaurant is superb and always our favourite, for comforting takeaways through to nights out celebrating special occasions with friends. I had an awful dining experience here. The staff were very rude, did not listen to my orders at all when I was nice and tried talking to them. I get times are hard, but the portions were so small we had to go to maccas right after - which was luckily right around the corner. I don’t know if I trust to give this place another try. Just giving a small warning to prospective customers. To be honest, I wish I went to Taj Tandoori instead. Sorry but it’s a no from me.

Best indian & bangladeshi food around by far. Plus the staff are superb. They are the type of team that a dedicated and committed to something they have love for. Food is amazing, and they have also made me a customised Lassi, which was epic.

went on valentines day with a colleague/friend and we hadnt booked but they were very nice and gave us a table. The fish curry was ok but the okra was delicious as was the garlic rice. Really enjoyed it and will definitely be back. It was a good atmosphere and they even gave us a red rose. I have had their veg thali previously and that was nice too.

A compact cosy restaurant with bring your own alcohol which can be purchased from the supamarket a short walk away. The evening we went was packed with dine in customers and a constant line of people waiting for take aways. Reserve a table on the left side of the restaurant if you want a quieter experience. The service was good and the food was excellent with very reasonable prices.

The okra was delicious. This was my first time trying it. Everything was delicious, the service was great, the guys did a great job welcoming us and sitting us down where my husband wouldn't hit his head as he is 6"4 because restaurant is a cute old lil cottage will tiny doors. We were recommended by a friend to go. We walked in about 5pm with no booking but, i suggest you always make a reservation as they were non stop with customers walking in and ordering take out too. Great place and love the food!!! I couldn't add a 2nd review for some reason but, I just wanted to mention that my husband and our friend asked if they do other flavoured Lassis and requested banana. What other restaurant would fulfill customer requests like the Kaz Team did for us lastnight!!! 10 mins later, we all enjoyed the Banana Lassi. It was DELICIOUS, could pass off as a banana milkshake in my opinion. ❤️ THE KAZ TEAM!!! Great service always.

We are so lucky to have a Bangladeshi restaurant in Swaston, Cambridge. The food as well the service is great! Definitely will revisit soon.

Pretty good food, not too spicy but flavorful, organised all their collections at the same time so very busy.

Food was great, but due to it being Saturday and very busy (they also do take away) service was a bit slow.

Food is ok. You have to take your own alcohol but you can buy soft drinks. Service is good, prices reasonable. Very noisy inside when busy. Not the place for a quiet meal out but really good for a takeaway

War hier im Juni mit meiner Band (we meet as strangers) nach einem durchzechten Tag in Cambridge. Haben hier direkt im Lokal zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Das Englisch der anwesenden Kellner war nicht gerade akzentfrei, aber mit Händen und Füßen hat man sich schon irgendwie verstanden👌🏻 Das Essen war eine sehr große Portion und mega spitze!! (weiß aber nicht mehr genau, was wir bestellt hatten. Es war Reis dabei) Und wir haben noch was gratis dazu bekommen (weiß auch nicht mehr was)

Probably the best Indian on the outskirts of Cambridge. Always good quality food which, I find, is well spiced and uses authentic cooking methods. Highly recommend.

Although the restaurant is compact the food is outstanding as is customer care and service. We were very pleased with the variety and quality of the dishes on offer. The restaurant now offers only sorf drinks but you can takes your own selection of alcoholic beverage without corkage charge.

Took a chance as local pub not serving food. Great service, could bring or get own alcohol, they provided glasses and disposed of emptys. Great food well cooked, not just takeaway really excellent tasty original flavours. High standard and well served. Would go again if in the area.

It was OK, not the most welcoming or engaging staff and the decor was a little tired. The garlic naan tasted of raw garlic and my lamb madras had heat but little depth of flavour. BYOB, which may suit some.

We had Sunday lunch at Kaz's with 7 of us (2 children and 5 adults). The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was attentive but not over the top. We'll definitely be back!!!
