Chopstix Noodle Bar in South Cambridgeshire

Every time we have travelled the past two years I headed to Cambridge services for Chopstix - no more - just finished a dire lunch - the normally lush noodles soaked today in strong, guessing its soy, sauce and nearly all the same toppings of chicken something - so disappointed ☹️ what has happened 😭

Absolutely unreal fast food. People lined up for McDonald's when this is here.

Poor staff service. Lady who is serving is so rude. I ordered large box of noodles with 3 toppings and she make it like she is giving money for my food, cold and in each topping she only put halfer spoon of everything. I usually went for this box because I really like but from now to onwards I will never go back again. Improve your service or otherwise you will lose customers. I wish I can get my refund for this poor service and food . Thanks

Staff was unhappy the whole time, In every other noodle stop in the uk a small box comes with 2 sides, Food was quite nice really but he was clearly unhappy, looked and acted very grumpy, I was having a conversation with another customer and he sort of just coughed to say hurry up and pay for your food.

SHOCKING, LARGE NOODLES X 3 TOPPINGS, FIRST TWO TOPPINGS = DRIZZLE CHICKEN GIVES YOU 3 BIT'S OF CHICKEN, 3RD TOPPING, SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN, 2 BIT'S OF CHICKEN, AND WHEN I ASKED WHY THIS IS, IT WAS TAE IT OR LEAVE IT. DIDN'T REALISE I WAS AT MY GRANDPARENTS HOUSE.

Foood and aervice was amazing! Andreea was so polite and friendly 100% recommend!

Having eaten here 3 days ago my husband suffered from food poisoning and had to take time off work... definitely shall not be back! @chopstix I have sent you a feedback form reporting this incident, please kindly reply and don't ask me to email a marketing email as I don't wish for marketing I wish to complain!

20:00 and very little food left and all containing chicken. No positive customer service. No idea what time they close as they don’t show opening hours. The staff were there until 20:30. I’ve been before and had wonderful food and service.

I always enjoy the pumpkin katsu curry here but thought if try the leaf no beef option and it was delicious. Really recommend it! 👌 staff are really friendly and helpful it you have any questions.

I found the female staff rude and abrupt. And what made it worse they don't accept cash you get glared at as if it's filth

I usually enjoy Chopstix, but sadly, this isn't one of the better ones. Chap who took the order was rude and lacked basic manners and communication skills. He tutted when me and my partner wanted to pay together, and when I asked him about the meal deals he simply pointed at the sign and said "look". The rice and noodles were both overcooked and the chicken toppings were incredibly dry. Not a place I'd be likely to visit again.

I waited in a queue of three people, one member of staff serving two other members of staff leaning against the equipment resting. It took forever to serve the people in the queue. When I did get served I was told I would have to wait for the Catsu curry to be cooked and then I realised there were also no potatoes left. I decide to abandon my order. Besides the terrible it is pretty awful if you are vegetarian.

It's taken a turn for worse for sure. portions are much less generous, disgusting overcooked noodles, chicken doesn't feel fresh either. Sad, as they used to be better and my go to place when coming back from Cambridge. Eat here if you're hungry and desperate, I'll just vote with my wallet and cook at home.

This was absolutely disgusting, was like eating a bit of old dog meat will never go back and the lady was a grumpy old bollock . ruined my night completely

Wasn’t impressed. Rude staff, no one really seems to be doing anything. Rice was very dry. They do not accept cash either!

You never have a vegetarian option. I come to these services frequently and I have never seen the pumpkin katsu in stock. Potatoes with noodles or rice isn't really an acceptable alternative. Your staff are also always very rude when I ask if there is any available.

I'm a driver. A few times I had a very unpleasant service. Today at 3.30pm I could not order food because I got information that 3 people at the same time have a break..

Tasteless Starch…. Good from far, far from good. Never again!!!

Wanted the chilli prawns but they ran out which was fine so opted for the pumpkin katsu. Received only one piece when other customers who ordered chicken katsu got 2-3 pieces. Rice was under-filled which you can see in the photo. Definitely would not have spent £6.50 for that…

Food was pretty gross, no flavour to noodles and the egg fried rice over salty with strange texture to egg. Sweet & sour chicken was the worst of all. None of it was very hot so I worry about the food safety of this place to be honest. Very disappointing!

Absolutely spectacular food. Will eat again for sure. Enjoyed the caramel chicken topping over egg fried rice.

Had the prawns yesterday evening and I thought there was a funny taste at the time, but the sauce was covering it. Within an hour I was throwing up and I’ve been sofa bound since…perhaps it had been sitting there too long?

We are regular customers to Cambridge extra services Chopstick we almost always take food medium with 2-toppings and we also take our regular Elmexican. On Sun-2/7/23 we thought we will go for large Xtra offer £11.95 -4 toppings. The East European lady serves us always we are regular because our favourite prawns & beef-We ordered beef/salt& pepper, caramel chicken kasu-chicken but my husband doesn’t like the sauce which we tried before. I asked could we have beef little gravy or chicken sauce instead! Staff was absolutely adamant NO, so we had no sauce dry chicken ??The drink was small, when I mentioned she says small drink just offer says large-extra ( this is miss-sell ) advertisement. Also for several weekends we found the spring rolls under cooked not crunchy like previous occasions! We are happy they offer Blue Card-After this occasion we have decided not to ever take food from chopsticks. Staff are absolutely awful no manners and hardly any knowledge of English. Chopsticks front first stall restaurant. Tues-evenings staff go home early saying food all sold out- noticed staff take food home for themselves. Anyone wanting to go chopsticks please avoid. There are more options with better staff service. We love chopsticks food. Tottenham Court Rd, London best! Bihanger Services also serves Chopsticks!!

Their chicken katsu curry is my favourite, we always have it when we are on long roads.

Normally a great place for vegan Katsura pumpkin curry, but none being served today, so had to go elsewhere.

Food was delicious and noodles was really good! Sweet and sour chicken is usually good but felt off this time but the caramel chicken hit the spot. The woman was really kind and told us that it was halal and was patient. The atmosphere was quite good and the chairs near the place was decent and the table was good with charging plugs.

Box of Rice with sweet chicken was delicious, but box with noodles is just full of tasteless noodles really.

Everything was really good, lovely customer service, delicious food and fast order, highly recommended!

I came in today for a meal and i was very pleased to eat from you guys. Very nice team and very pleased to be served by the 2 ladys. I will come vack again.

The food is no longer what it used to be, portions of protein are stingy, the noodles were overcooked too soft and tastless, same goes for the different variatikns of chicken we jad in six different boxes. Terribly dissapointing, not sure what the owners of choppstix are thinking but they need to go back to basic otherwise I cannot see them lasting as a fast food chain will not be eating from them again for the foreeable future. WARNING if you are thinking of having a nice bbox of chinese prepare to be terribly dissapointed. The owner/s should be ashamed of allowing food like this to be sold.

Noodles tasted of old oil, (and as thats basically the whole box). went in the bin. Usually like a chopstix but this was not good.

I has a medium meal deal Probably the worst tasting Chinese I've had tbh , the rice was hard the sweet and sour didn't taste fresh either did the curry , spring rolls had no filling , waste of £6.99

Ordered a "Large" portion. The box was exactly the same size as a small box... Tiny. The server then proceeded to put 2 or 3 bits of each dish in the box. I questioned why there was such a small amount of each amount and he said because the box is too full. Safe to say I didn't pay £2 extra for 3 small pieces of chicken. The service was also atrocious. Waited for 10 minutes for just 2 people to be served in front of me. Such a shame as I only live a couple of miles away from there and Im often buying food from the service station.

Very good customer service, and very tasty food

Ordering was quick and the gentleman was helpful in explaining the range available and options to make it a meal deal. I had a medium meal which was noodles, teriyaki beef and BBQ chicken. Spring rolls and a drink. The food was all hot, really tasty and good portions.

Great food but very small portion for a medium box. Lots of rice but not much "toppings".

So rude. The employee got my order wrong and was then incredibly disgruntled at me like I had done something wrong. What a weird and awkward encounter. Also there was too much rice (which wasn't quite cooked) in proportion to the topping

I've just had a "Large" noodle box from Cambridge Xtra Services this has got to be the worst I've ever had at Chopstix first the portion was very small and the staff at this particular store are clearly giving small portions as other people in the queue were also saying the same. The noodles and chicken were very dry and had clearly been under the hot lamps all day or re heated. I've been to many other locations and never had a problem. I've pretty much wasted £7.99 tonight as most went in the bin.

Excellent food quality here, it’s lovely to visit a motorway services and have something different. I had the salt and pepper chicken and sweet and sour chicken and it was amazing! The staff are very polite and welcoming which is a bonus 😁

lovely food, great staff and service. the manager is lovely and so kind, and the small lady with the black hair with the pirate looking hat is so bubbly and kind and love her hyper ness. young lad who serves is so kind and has such good costumer service. would definitely recommend! :)

If you like Chinese food then do NOT go here. The noodles taste like spaghetti hoops (which is fine but NOT when you want Chinese). The rice is undercooked and hard, flavour is confusing as well, not egg fried rice at all. Spring rolls had no filling in them and tasted like someone had doused them in lemon toilet cleaner. All the chicken toppings tasted the same. And that taste was sadness. There was not a HINT of authentic Chinese spices or oil. Overall I do NOT recommend. I was so disappointed. Completely uneddible. Thrown away whilst still piping hot. 🤢

Food was OK but the English language is not very good with the lady that served me as she just kept saying yes she clearly didn't have a clue what I was asking and was rather moody over the fact that i kept asking a simple question shame really only wanted to no if it was fried rice or boiled as it looked white.... the gaffer needs to sort out the middle aged dark haired lady that was on tonight learn her some respect and at least make her learn what she is serving

I ordered for a large portion but didn’t receive even minimum quantity. Very poor service. They lady should get well trained. Love chopstix but will never come here again if this lady will serve again
