Love the food, we always buy from Ganesha.

Food was nice and we all enjoyed.

Despite requesting a scheduled order for 2 hours later. They still delivered the food 15 mins late.

This was the 3rd time i got smotach pain when i eat mixed fried rice , all the items in the restaurant is good and nice even service also good but only the mixed fried rice with gravy made me sick 3rd time me nd my frd also, rest everything is good

Idly vada sambar was really really good. We enjoyed it very much. We definitely recommend to our friends.

Our delivery time kept changing. It started showing eta from 7.30 and went upto 8.15. I had to go collect the order in person. I called the restaurant first and the food was ready but there was no one to collect it

A great South Indian srilankan restaurant I loved the taste of chatni after a very long time. Made food to perfection. Ordered fresh orange juice but got canned juice in a glass but still I give my 5 for good smiling service and good food

Dont let the look or the size f the place fool you, one of the best places in watford for dosas and srilankan dishes. Porotta is next level. Would recommend to anyone. Note : spice levels they mention are real, dont be too brave and ask them to make it spicy, mild or medium spicy would be more than enough for most.

Waitied more than one and half hours for takeway food, they only give priorty for dine in and deliveries , worst customer service, doesnt even care if we are waiting all other dine in customers are been served.I would not recommend ganesha if your are taking away food

"Terrible Service, Long Wait for Takeaway" Ordered takeaway and ended up waiting nearly an hour, watching others who came long after us receive their food first – both dine-in and other takeaway orders. Staff showed no concern or urgency, no updates, no apologies, leaving us with a frustrating and disappointing experience. If you’re looking for quick and efficient service, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Went to Ganesha with my friends today to order food for take away. Waited 1 hour for the food. All the other dine-in customers who came after us were served except us. Very disappointed at the service. Not recommended for takeaway.

We visited Ganesha Restaurant expecting a pleasant meal, but unfortunately, it turned into a frustrating experience. The service was incredibly slow – we waited far too long for our order, and it seemed like there was no urgency in the kitchen. Despite several follow-ups with the staff, the food took ages to arrive, and we felt overlooked. By the time it finally did, we were hardly in the mood to enjoy it. The long wait time and lack of attentiveness really overshadowed the meal, and it’s unlikely we’ll be coming back anytime soon. Not recommended if you're looking for a timely dining experience!

This is my usual go to place in Watford, but this time the service was worst. The taste of food is still good, but the service was not good.

Great find. We visited last night and had some of the best Sri Lankan 🇱🇰 food we have ever had the pleasure of tasting. Stand out dishes the Mutton Koti Roti and the amazing masala dosas. The paratha bread was also sublime. All washed down with a Lion beer 🍺. When the bill came just over £100 for four people for a feast like this is incredible value. We will be back soon !

The prawn biryani this time was very bad. I have ordered before and it used to be good and this time it was awful. Very bland, no flavour, looked like rice mixed with some curry. It jus had 3 prawns in total. usually it's 6 or 7...the problem with this place is consistency. sometimes it's good sometimes it's terrible. Not sure if they have different cooks at times.

Idlis are the best and the serving is a decent size.

Annoyingly The Dahl was not sealed properly and had split all over the other food into the bag inside and onto the containers - so I didn’t have much Dahl. The cutlets were squashed to so better thought into packing in the future please.

I had a take away from this Ganesha restaurant and the chilli chicken and veggie noodles were excellent. This is the best chilli chicken I have had ever since I have moved to the UK.........10 stars to the 👨‍🍳..........keep up the good work😊

Get the Mutton Chettynadu with some rice and you'll find that part of your soul you were missing.

I'm a Sri Lankan Burgher and I can definitely say the food is 100% genuine. This is not your everyday run of the mill Bangladeshi indian restaurant. This is a genuine Sri Lankan restaurant, which I'm glad to say is close to me so I can keep re ordering their lovely dishes.. Well done guys you got my vote...

Mixed review. Best dosa in Watford by far. No confusion or hassle like other dosa houses in Watford. Eaten in here before and it's cosy with friendly staff. The owner is a real gentleman. This is my second time ordering food from the Ganesha restaurant. I decided to go with the thali at £10.95 per head it's a bargain. The food was tasty but way too spicy for my wife. I like my curry on the spicy side. The portion sizes were good but too much rice for two people. They could easily substitute with another dish. The sweet vermicelli was lush, but needed more of it. The vaida was excellent too. Probably wouldn't order the thali again unless I was on my own. Like I said, I highly recommend their dosa, noodles, matar paneer, and iddly as have ordered them before and they were superb. Just be warned. If you chose spicy, you're going to get really spicy! Overall I like Ganesha restaurant and we used to eat in their many years ago. Lovely people that run the place.

Its been over a year since I was last able to visit. I had been craving a good dosa for ages and certainly wasn't disappointed today. Freshly made and absolutely outstanding - great value too!

I visited Ganesha last weekend. It was a pleasant experience. I tried the fried chicken kotthu roti, mutton rolls and samosa. The service took quite long. The waiter didn't know about spices or what was in stock. When the food arrived, it was nice, but I wish it spicier than normal. Overall, the food was great value.

Ordered parotta and chicken gravy and mutton gravy , only to find out later it is only the gravy they deliver not even a single piece of chicken and mutton. Was very very disappointed with this service.. wondering why do they specifically say that pls order chicken gravy or mutton gravy then if you just have to send some tomato gravy????

Ganesha has its own charm. Not an Uber spacious restaurant but once seated you are treated like royalty. The food is spot on. Do try the devilled fish, putty with sambar and the mutton kuttu Parotta. It is delish!!!

We move into heartfordshire a few month ago and tried this restaurant randomly. It was so good and consistent that we go there most Fridays after work, love the dosa, chicken 65, chicken gravy with parota. The amazing food is matched by amazing and warm staff. Love it so much. Thank you

The food here is great, have eaten in and had takeaways. Always been top notch.

Food was average and so was the service. I have ordered from there before and that used to be really good. Hence why I went to eat in. Maybe chef has changed or the management has who knows. They have been a 5 star restaurant before so give it a chance I guess.

Food is good in taste but delivery was too slow. Delivery estimate was 55 mins when order placed, changed to 90 mins when order was accepted and actually delivery was 115 mins after ordering. The food was lukewarm as well and not hot

Ganesha has to be the best value for money restaurant in Watford. The food is lovely, especially devilled chicken & masala dosa. A must try, but make sure you eat in!

Had been there with my friends two times. First time we ordered some vegetable biryani And second time i ordered chickhen lollipops. Had terrible food poisoning both times.Have gone through vomitings and motions and had to visit gp. I thought when it happened for the first time may b its not bcoz of ganesha food. But after second time am damn sure its because of their food. The restaurant management please be careful about your food quality and hyginene as ur playing with people lifes.

Best Sri lankan takeaway within a 5 mile radius. Wouldn't recommend as a place to eat in though.

Nice Indian and Srilankan restaurant

Just had the opportunity to taste "The Best Urundu Wade" since leaving Sri Lanka. We used to frequent Saraswathi Lodge Colombo where we enjoyed authentic North Sri Lankan dishes. It was like a trip back memory lane. The wade offered was just without a doubt the best we have had . If you love authentic Sri Lanka Wade, Urundu Wade and Mutton Rolls Ganesha is the only choice in the area.

Ordered food at 5.45 pm and it's 8:10 pm, still no sign of delivery despite calling two times. Food is apparently ready but driver is on his way, no apologies and no other response. You expect customers to keep waiting for 3 hours past dinner time ? how do you define your service Ganesha? There is always one hour or more delay but todays was the ultimate. I'm expecting the food to arrive COLD and that is IF it arrives and also expected to pay? EXTREMEY DISAPPOINTING

We went for a family (9 people) meal on a Sunday, and we were treated to some absolutely delicious Sri lankan / South Indian food. We had a huge variety on our table, and every dish was highly praised by the person eating it, I had the most delicious Paneer Masala Dosa while looking on in jealousy at my daughters vegetable Thali. The service was amazing, the waiter did so well to listen to my in laws bend his ear about sri lankan food 'back home' and they were so impressed with the food they ordered takeaway as well. Really great value, friendly, delicious, we will definitely be returning soon, I have my eyes on a vegetable thali tray!

Bought Friday Special South India Thali, according to the manager / owner they don’t serve Sambar or Rasam with their Thali 🥹 Quality of Thali was pretty poor 🙄

Visited this place on a Friday. This is the day they have Thalis. This is a tray of food with different portions of curry and rice. Absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and the people eating in there were friendly as well. Have had takeaways from here in the past that were really nice.

Have eaten at Ganesha several times over the last few years and have never been let down by the service or the quality of food. Have brought friends and family here too and they have all been impressed with the food. Have tried multiple Sri Lankan restaurants in the UK and Ganesha is by far the best. Brilliant work by the team here, I hope they realise how good they are and go from strength to strength.
