Taste of Lahore in Watford

The taste of lahore is a good restaurant. We travel alot in search of this restaurant.The Kebabs and Kabli Pulao were really nice. The main thing i want to say staff was very friendly and helpful. The girl name faiza she is very kind and caring. Recommend 10/10.

Tasteless food prices are very high I have never had this kind of chicken biriyani and mutton biriyani prawns biriyani I love prawns but the prawns biryani terrible salad of ok chicken kebab was also disappointing I would not recommend this restaurant

They said that curry with rice is their wings and chips absolutely horrible.service took 45 minutes to come.would not recommend to come here.

What an absolute laugh. I went there today to try the food. Ordered chicken Rogan and rice. £18.50 🤣🤣🤣🤣. No I didn’t buy it. The food may have been amazing. The place is basic. Doesn’t mean the food won’t be good but seriously?! I have never paid that for a seriously decent meal in London.

The food is absolutely delicious. Love the atmosphere. The staff is very professional and friend especially the owner, Bilal bhai is very friendly.

This is my absolute go to. The food is always cooked fresh and delivered hot to the table. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable. We have tried several dishes that have not disappointed. I would highly recommend.

Mix grill is very good including the sweet lassi and staff are friendly and nice.

We had food here today . Very nice young lad on the counter who also helped us get a table and was always smiling 😀. We had the seekh kebabs which were mouth watering. Staff were all helpful. Their rice pudding is top notch. Free parking at the back too. Will be back again soon .

During my recent visit to watford Hertfordshire England , i found a beautiful restaurant at the corner of the high Street in front of the Atria shopping centre . I went in for a quick lunch . The staff were very friendly and greeted me in a polite manner. I ordered a chana Masala and butter Garlic nans .My order was taken by Rimsha the food arrived well in time with a complimentary salad , I was surprised by their portions it was like for 3 people can have it easily . There was a little miscommunication between the wait staff and chef instead of nans I received tandoori roti but no worries mistakes can be corrected. The food was well cooked and delicious . I will highly recommend everyone visiting Watford must give them a try . Special thanks to Mehraj and sunny will definitely visit again .

I came with my family and it was really nice :) our waiter was really supportive of helping my brother get his wheelchair inside and finding us the right seats, and the food was sooo good. Khan was also very lovely and helped serve us, so thank you to him.

I have been to this restaurant a lot, but the last time I was so disappointed, we ordered our food when the restaurant was empty after us 4 other groups came in…we weren’t given the sauces, yet all others groups were given who came after us. Everyone other group got their food order before us. The person that took our order then went out with his colleague and started chatting in front of the restaurant. After waiting 20 minutes, I’ve asked how long considering we were the first group to order. They didn’t apologise or anything just walked off. Then when the food came everyone on our table got the food apart from me, I had waited another 20 minutes and when I asked the staff members they didn’t seemed bothered and cared more about their conversation. I ordered the same as my brother so I still was confused and kept being told 2 or 3 minutes. Once we finished I asked to removed the service charge and then they asked me to pay in cash and that they have a free cash machine outside. I refused and said the service I had was not acceptable and will pay with card considering they had a card machine. Once I paid another staff member asked “why you taking card payment?”,we gonna be charged now VAT..just say the card machine isn’t working. (Spoken in Urdu) which I speak I was shocked and replied back I’ll pay in card in Urdu ! DO NOT GO !!!!! The food is good but I won’t do again to this restaurant! Due to the lack of care given

A group of us visited Taste of Lahore watford today amazing food and fantastic staff. It was my 5th time and I never get disappointed

Very poor service.delivered my food after 2 hours

My last visit was disappointing, first of all it took them more than 15 minutes to take my order dispute the restaurant is not busy, and then another 20 minutes to bring the order, I’ve asked for lamb bryani but unfortunately it was not because it was obvious that the lamb was cooked separately then mixed with the rice, nothing at all like a lamb bryani. I went to all Taste of Lahore branches in London but I never experienced such a disappointment. Even from this branch before.

Avoid ordering biryani from this place. I purchased a Sindhi biryani yesterday through Uber Eats and it was the worst biryani I have ever tasted. I had tried the same biryani from this shop around 2 years ago and it was quite good, so I expected the same quality this time. However, I was extremely disappointed. The biryani was bland and lacked flavor. It seemed like just boiled rice mixed with chicken cubes, and it was not appetizing at all. I would advise against ordering biryani from this place as it did not meet my expectations.

We like the food here & usually get a takeaway, mostly a half chicken meal but the man at the counter charges me the wrong price 😡 The meal says it is £8 online , When I handed over my £20 he didn’t give me any change When I questioned where my change was? He just mumbled it’s new price When I asked to look at the takeaway menu he mumbled new ones coming in 2 weeks ! When I was leaving the shop the menus were sitting at the other end of the counter I grabbed one & left but found that it did ,indeed say £8 The last time I ordered I asked for half a chicken and chips x 2 When I picked it up ,it was full chickens & I had to pay for them😲 I don’t know what this man is up to, but will send my husband to pick it up next time!

We entered attracted by the good smell that we could smell while walking on the street. Nice, comfortable and welcoming place. First time at the Pakistani restaurant. We ate well, the staff was courteous and helpful in explaining the dishes to us. It was all a bit hot and spicy, which was to be expected, but I was hoping for something that kids could eat too... but that wasn't the case. Dessert offered by the house very good! EXCELLENT price! Must try again!

Nice place. Good value food. Generous portions... nice mixed grill and cant go wrong for with their mango lussi. Their butter chicken is one of the better ones I've had. Good size naan. They do a. Tava platter now which 4 large males would struggle to finish. Would def recommend. HMC too which are few and far between. Staff were polite too Will be coming back. Thanks everyone at TOL.

The food is plausable ... Only the service and language barrier is really bad. How they employ staff that don't what they're doing or saying, begs belief. Take a native with you, or go somewhere else!

The food was spot on it was like eating back home in lahore. We travelled 60 miles to this place and it was worth ever penny.

I had the best shaoma with bread made to the minute. The guys are professional, the food is delicious and the location very clean. You can also use the take way service. I recommend.

We used to go to many other restaurants in the local area, now we only go here. Service is great, they make you feel like part of their family, food is some of if not the best in the surrounding areas and the ambience is lovely

Food was absolutely fantastic. Waiting staff is the let down in this place. Wrong dish was initially served and struggled to get attention of staff for more drinks, naan, or the bill. I'd still go again but think the business could do with training the staff to be more attentive, polite, and careful when taking orders.

I used to go to other restaurants now I only come here the food is amazing and the service is great all of the time without a doubt.

These guys insist on giving cash in hand and won't allow us to use cards. I don’t mind giving cash in hand but one day I had a very bad experience. With only a credit card in my hand, I noticed that a customer had already paid with card used the card machine right in front of me. I explained that I had a credit card and could not withdraw money from Money Machin when it was my turn to pay. Unfortunately the ruthless man in the counter took back my takr away package very casually. Because it was so humiliating and insulting, I decided not to buy anything from there.

Unfortunately the flavours were poor, tap water is not allowed to be ordered, some people brought their own water bottles from home. Fruit flies were also present and giving company to our meal.

Visited with friend and his family. The bbq platter was just tasteless and lacked any authenticit of Pakistani cuisine. . One of the worst places i have visited. Won’t be eating there again.

Food is very nice, i have been going there for years and have been recommending this place to friends and family however, visited them on Saturday 18/05/24 and they have a new rule. They DO NOT serve tap water, as far as i am aware this is against the law. So for this reason i will not return, neither will i recommend this place to anyone.

I ordered some seekh kebab and the taste of the kebabs was not great, quite plain which is not what you expect from a lahori kebab place. On top of that I ended up getting severe DIARRHOEA because of the kebabs. I feel l need to get some compensation… that’s how bad the diarrhoea is.

Ramadan buffet is not great value for money. For £20 there were only two main meat dishes, with other dishes being starters and sides. Go for their regular menu and avoid the makeshift buffet which is not worth £20

Plastic in the food and when I showed it too the staff they didn’t say anything no apologies or any sights of regret or worries would not recommend eating here

Fantastic food, I cant fault the foods, All I can say the restaurant set up is a bit outdated specially the rest rooms, I think by renovating inside of the restaurant you would attract customer from different communities more so inside is not appealing to everyone.

My experience with the restaurant was okay to be honest. The food is on the spicier side, although ordered medium but it was spicy. The service was good, naan’s were best and quick. Ordered lamb karahi, biryani and chicken seekh kebabs which were average.

The best experience just by the politeness and smile of their staff, the man who served me today was excepcional. 5 stars!

Watford Branch. Absolutely superb food cooked well and to personal preferences. Wonderfully delicious and cooked in a reasonable amount of time. Service was excellent though this place gets EXTREMELY busy. Great seating and surrounding. Highly recommend. Note .. Having eaten at both the Harrow and Watford branches - I can confirm that the Watford Branch is definitely far better in terms of food.

Food is way too spicy. I had to put sugar and goat cheese in order to get a taste of it. Couldn't finish and had to to throw it away.

Mainly order takeaway from here. The chicken tikka roll is just delicious. I have also had the lamb kebabs, chilli garlic Mogo. All brilliant. One of my go to's for a nice takeaway which seldom disappoints.

Took karahi keema with butter naan and it tastes like turmeric. Excpet this, everything was tasty. Recommended!

Ordered Kheer, which I really liked, and yet they have put the price up and their portions for the price is very very small and criminal. You get a moderate sized container with hardly any Kheer inside. This is typical Junglie behaviour and extremely crafty. I will not be ordering again. The staff need to stop being crafty and sort themselves out! Its bad enough they food poisoned a group of people a while back but this just takes the biscuit! Absolute piss take! When u put food into a container you fill it up properly otherwise get smaller containers!

Very nice place to eat alone as a couple or family and friends

Without a doubt the best Indian we have ever had ! So much so have become regulars and think nothing of travelling a hour each way just to get to taste the delights that this restaurant offers. Heart warming and wholesome food, piping hot and never fails to deliver. I love La Hores special with chicken and Zeera rice and mango Lassi. 100% brilliant !
