Good restaurant with mild curry. Staff are friendly. Family get together with nice flavourful dishes and mild taste as we requested.

Lovely meal, friendly staff. Proper old school, hot towel, laminated desert menu and complimentary liqueur! Love it here! Naan so fluffy and bubbly !

Really nice food, pleasant service and good wine. It's a while since I've been here and good to see they've kept their standards. Really interesting food, not just the common Indian restaurant dishes. This place has some amazing signature dishes.

I am originally from London and so I'm used to eating good authentic Indian food, so after trying nearly all the places in town, I can say I finally found a decent place. Spice Lounge is hands down the best Indian takeaway in LB. The chef knows what he's doing and their food is always tasty.

Went here mid week with large group of friends. The place was very busy but service quick and the food excellent. The waiting staff are very humourus and friendly. They all obviously enjoy their jobs. Average price for main meal, a couple of Cobra beers and including a tip was £35. A complementary spirit served at the end of the meal is a nice touch. Overall a good evening out. We will be back soon.

Absolutely best curry house, food is amazing and staff can’t do enough for you , always busy and a brilliant atmosphere.

We are regular customers although we usually dine in or collect ourselves. The food is fantastic but the delivery service is a disaster. We were told 45 mins to an hour when we ordered by phone our takeaway was delivered 2 hours and 45 mins later. When we phoned to enquire after 1 hour 15 we were told it would be with us in seconds we were told the same after 2 hours. It was then re sent at 2 hours 30 mins. Don’t sell what you can’t deliver. Very disappointing

We have been to your restaurant a number of times now and have been really impressed with the food. On Saturday night (order 482) we completed an online order and I have to say we have been really disappointed. I really don't know what happened. We ordered a Lamb Naga and Chicken Pathia. Our kids had the tikka masala and chicken curry. When we ate our dishes, the Naga and Pathia, there was no hot spice in there what so ever. The Pathia tasted like the chicken curry with just a little bit more coriander. It felt like we were eating base sauces that lacked depth, spice and Naga heat, Infact there was very little heat at all. I don't want this to put us off ordering or coming in again but unfortunately I feel that this has. Very disappointing.

Dreadful service on New Year's Eve the order was wrong took 90.mins. despite us calling a couple of days before to ask if we could.order in advance . Won't be using them again. Left a message but no call back. Feel cheated.

This is a delightful restaurant serving excellent Indian cuisine. The authentic dishes are delicious and the service is always top-notch. We have been coming here for our anniversary for many years and would thoroughly recommend it.

I can highly recommend this restaurant, food is amazing and staff are so friendly and restaurant is spotless. By far the best in the area we have been going here for about 2 years now and never once had a bad meal.

As a last minute outing looked at the reviews and chose this place. What a disappointment it was. To start with it was a hot day and there was no A/C in the restaurant. I did inquire a couple of times and the response was poor with not even acknowledgment. Then we ordered the food which arrived without delay. The Mutton Biriyani was tasteless with old pieces of meat and no flavour in the rice and full of oil. Chicken Korma tasted sweet. when inquired I was told that sugar has been added to it to make it sweet. It tested terrible and the whole meal was appalling. I will never visit this place again. This place is good for customers who doesn't understand about Indian food and used to the same tomato and ghee and cream based sauces. You should get better for your money.

Very good food, but I believe they have changed the menu and reduced the options as a result. This is one of the reasons I choose here over Vantage, so a tad disappointed. Maybe I am mistaken, but the proper measure of the complimentary liquor at the end cheered me up no end 👍

Ordered vindaloo and jalfrezi takeaways. Vindaloo was perfect, intense and perfectly flavoured, no complaints. Jalfrezi, very disappointing, watery sauce and bland. If this is Spice Lounge version of classic jalfrezi, its bottom of the list, have been eating this dish for at least 20 years up and down UK. Makes me wonder, did vindaloo come from same kitchen as jalfrezi? In both orders service was prompt and efficient.

We had a birthday sitting here on Sunday evening evening. Superb environment, food was delicious and the staff were very professional. Only downside was there was a long wait. But once the food started appearing it was go, go, go from there. Next time I'll visit with the Mrs.

Wow what a great restaurant. Didn't book on a Saturday night so chanced our luck. Staff were fantastic only 10 minutes for a table even though it was heaving. Food was fantastic and quick from ordering. Would highly recommend

GREAT MEAL AT THE SPICE LOUNGE Three of us, after a few beers at the Victoria, we had three lovely main courses at the Spice Lounge. One had the lamb chops (4), I had a hot lamb curry dish, and the other, a chicken curry. There was also a lovely spinach and lentil side dish. A few more beers and after dinner liqueurs.

The service overall was fab. Staff were great along with the food service. I would recommend this restaurant due to the delicious food that was served and the staff members who were brill.

I order food, long story never turn up. I understand you are busy but you must understand how to talk to your customer. can you please refund me my money soon as possible, so I can order food from some where, it was last money was in my card.

The worst experience ever, try to avoid it, all food was paid in advance which is never turn up, keep saying it will be there in a minute, finally cancel the order hopefully they will refund money, the guy was over the phone, very unprofessional and rude sound like bang.

Moved here from London where Indian food is amazing and bringing and Indian I know exactly what the food should taste like and what is all about….came to spice lounge for the first and last time with my two children who where also disappointed we ordered chilli paneer and what we got was a small plate of sautéed onions and peppers with 4 small pierces of paneer so we all got 1 piece each…what a joke!!! Not only that ordered veg pakoras got two flat potato cakes! This place is a joke and shouldn’t be open as it’s defo not serving proper Indian food plus it’s a ripoff for something so small and tasteless!! Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone!!!!

Disappointing service today. We had booked a table but had to wait half an hour to be seated. The food came quickly but the mushroom bharji that we ordered had metamorphosed into a mushroom biryani when the food arrived. There was no offer to refill our drinks and the bill was very slow coming at the end, even after we’d ordered it. The food was excellent quality and very tasty, but the experience was let down by the wait and poor service.

This was an extremely enjoyable experience - the ambiance was great: there was a high standard of service and, most importantly, the food was excellent. A visit to this establishment will be a must whenever I visit Dunstable.

I went there for a dinner. Food was so delicious that my belly ached from eating too much. Portions were quite generous as well. White table covers make it look stylish. Staff very attentive. I would definitely eat there again

My mother in law ordered our food, waited an hour and decided to call. Was told it would be here in a further 20 minutes, so waited a further 20 min and an additional 15 before calling once again. Was given nothing but attitude down the phone. My mother in law was left feeling very disappointed after being a loyal customer for the last 6 years. To top all of this off, our food arrived at room temperature. We will no longer be using spice lounge, nor will we be recommending. Spice lounge, do your local and loyal customers mean so little to you?

So disappointing Can’t believe that it takes 2 hours to produce a take away and deliver 2 minutes round the corner ! Food was tepid and both biriyani and pilau rice were small portions neither container was full. When called to query after 1 hour very offhand and dismissive telling be his colleague should have told me “an hour and something” I was not told this and since it was then over an hour I was appalled to hear 15-20 minutes till I could expect my food. Alas after 35 minutes food still not here phoned again interrupted by incoming call from spice lounge saying they missed my call. Then both hung up!!! Called again to be told he had located my order finally arrived after 2 hours. Will never use them again!

This is our favourite Indian in Dunstable, friendly service but also brilliant for takeaway and in our humble opinion best tasting curry in the area!

Just had a takeaway rice was very watery and makes the curry runny and watery too. Wont use them again.

Not bad had Tandoori Chicken on skillet with balti. Unfortunately the Balti was a bit bland but chicken was nice.

We ordered a takeaway from this restaurant that a year ago was out favourite. A regular haunt for us and for my grandson. It was late arriving, stone cold. Not very nice and extremely expensive. Not the spice lounge we remember. The chicken was missing from the tikka masala. The mou mou was awful. The samosas were undercooked. In fact it was all horrible and most of it is in the bin. Shame

You rarely get tender lamb in a UK indian restaurant. Spice lounge lamb is always tender, and everything is well flavored. We have another curry restaurant across the road from our house, but only visit Spice Lounge as the food is so much better, and the service is great.

Good menu but very busy place and translates into a bit slower service than usual, but worth the wait for tasty meal.

Fantastic meal. An excellent menu of usual options and some lovely signature dishes from the restaurant. Seafood platter starter for 2, lamb dansak, chicken raswhun were all beautifully cooked.

No apologies for an awful home delivery.... We have just moved here from a country where we have eaten 'real' Indian food and wanted to order our first Indian in Dunstable. What an awful place! We had butter chicken and lamb biryani.... Simply put this is sub standard food. Both were inedible but when we called to ask if they were sure this was a butter chicken, as it was way too sickly sweet which is more like a passanda, we were told 'that's just how we make it' no apologies no questions. Has this place changed the chef lately as I just don't understand the reviews. We eat out and get take away a lot.... Not ever again from this place though! Absolutely disgusting in both food quality and service.
