Vantage Indian Restaurant & Bar in Central Bedfordshire

OK - I phoned for a takeaway and was told you get 20% off if you collect the takeaway - although there is "FREE" delivery where you do NOT get the 20% off. So I decided to collect. When collecting the 20% had not been taken off the bill... standing there clearly collecting a takeaway they hoped I would not notice. I noticed - and said I ws collecting! I waited a few minutes whilst the bill was rewritten and the 20% was taken off. Deliberate? Well as it's their job I would say yes - a deliberate attempt to avoid giving the 20% reduction. Added to that the onion baji's were cold and undercooked.

I have had 2 excellent meals at this restaurant now and visited with different friends on both occasions, the service is excellent and the food served fresh and hot. Some superb dishes on offer with great spice and heat levels, the restaurant is spotlessly clean and the seating and tables comfortable. Prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are perfect. I travel a 50 mile round trip to visit this restaurant and I’m looking forward to the next one. See you soon Ali, regards Rich from Northamptonshire.

Ordered takeway. Really really poor and disappointing. Mixed grill was so tough impossible to eat and each piece of meat was 2cm cubed. Masala and methi left watery puddle on plate and hardly any flavour. Bhajis like brick again impossible to eat. Bread cold and dry and rice portion not even enough for one person. Spent £45 and couldn’t eat any of it but unable to get a refund through Uber eats and restaurant asked us to call back.

Great food and great service, I visited on a Tuesday evening it was quiet, but the reception and friendliness was appreciated. I visited on a a lot of restaurants and what I would suggest is offering clients a post meal apéritif/ shot. It always goes down well!

Had such delicious meal! The service was fantastic throughout. Ali was a very attentive waiter. Every one is really friendly. We usually have take away so it was a lovely treat from my hubby to sit in the restaurant and eat. We watched the local Christmas light switch on from inside. Hubby went out to see the Lazer show. King prawn Kushan was delicious. Mixed meat & veggie platter perfectly presented. Washed down with drinks. Also, lovely atmosphere and mix of families and friends enjoying spicy & fragrant food. Would definitely recommend a visit!! Vantage are open on Christmas Day if you’re unsure of your plans.

I took my wife here the night I proposed and we loved it. Went back today for our first anniversary and it was exactly the same - great food, great people and a cozy atmosphere that makes a great setting for a date, a friendly get-together or family outing. I highly recommend Vantage!

I ordered at 19.05. Delivery time was 19.55-20.15. The delivery driver left at 19.55 and didn’t arrive at my property until 20.30. Although it’s a 10 mins journey? The food was cold like not even warm and it was just poor. Actually gutted because I’ve never had a problem with vantage before but after this experience I won’t be ordering again I don’t think.

Have eat in many Indian restaurants lodon Birmingham this is exceptionally the best i have had 15 out of 10 food fresh spices flavours quality , and so friendly service 10 10 complements to the chef

Shocking curry very watering and tastes of pure butter

The best Indian restaurant in town! There are a few Indian places in Dunstable, but only here did we find the authentic flavors we were looking for. Aromatic, spicy, truly Indian dishes. The staff is very friendly and happy to help with menu choices. Highly recommended!

Ordered at 1655. Had to call at 1815 to find out where our order was. Arrived at 1840. Chicken Korma had zero flavour and look pale, chicken was chewy. Very disappointed. Won’t be ordering again

Haven't bee here for a while but went tonight and certainly not disappointed. Food was fantastic and service second to none. It's very quiet in there on a Monday night which suited us but may not be for everyone.

5 out of 5 all round for this restaurant. Best curry house in Dunstable, normally do takeaway away but dined in for a change as been awhile seeing Mo and team. The best Indian restaurant in Dunstable! Outstanding service, these guys define the best in customer service, make you feel very welcome and help create a great atmosphere. Food is also delicious and the smells as each dish comes out are to die for. Always a fantastic evening, look forward to returning again soon!

We visited Vantage as a group of 8 on Saturday at 18.00. As soon as you walk in you are made to feel like old friends. The waiters are very efficient the place is immaculately clean. This is my favourite Indian in Dunstable. Plenty of choice on the menu. If you like lamb I would recommend the Sri Lankan lamb dish, it’s so good. Looking forward to returning soon. It’s gets busy but the service is not affected.

Vantage is our local curry house and we absolutely love it. The food is delicious, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, I would 100% recommend this curry house.

I have been eating out at Vantage for quite a few years now and it is by far the best curry restaurant around. Not only for the food and dishes but for the wonderful, welcoming staff. Mo and Sam particularly are the most thoughtful and warm staff members. Always going above and beyond to please the guests. All in all, the restaurant is a great environment and this is why not only myself, but many others return too time after time. Keep up the good work Vantage

Unbelievable tasting food, staff are accommodating and polite! Atmosphere was fantastic and they never fail to alter dishes to your taste. Will always be my go to curry house!

Can def recommend the Dehli Chilli Beef .... perfectly spiced, with veg pilau and saag also..... The Chicken Jalfrezi also got a thumbs up Service was on point..... staff extremely friendly......food came out hot (took a doggy bag home) perfectly seasoned The only downside were the desserts..... no vegan options, and we couldn't just order ice cream, which was a pity

My partner and I went to Vantage for my birthday. I regularly order takeaway as it’s one of the best Indian restaurants near where I live, however eating in the restaurant is a real treat. I had chicken Patia cooked with a thick sauce, my partner had a Tandori mixed grill. The service is always perfect and the food fresh and delicious. We will definitely eat in more often.highly recommended.

Perfection on a plate. Fabulous curry, so so tasty with an extensive choice on the menu. Goan green, chicken was very moist, with a great depth of spices. Highly recommended

Haven't been to Vantage Restaurant for a while. Was taken back by a range of new dishes on the menu. Tried 2 of the 'new' dishes and they were fabulous!

Amazing restaurant, serving delicious food, good choice of vegetarian options. The service is second to none, we are always warmly greeted by all of the staff including Sam. Nothing is too much trouble. Very clean restaurant. I would highly recommend it.

Pre Euro's Final dinner with friends, another amazing evening, great banquet menu, above & beyond is an under statement, never have we been to The Vantage Indian restraunt & had a bad evening. Sam (boss man) was amazing, Forhad was impeccable & for MO, well he's the real boss, always goes out of his way to impress.

Really enjoyed a Saturday night out here with friends. The best Indian restaurant I've been to in Dunstable, for both food quality and friendly service. They made a proper Indian Chai tea, and my vegetarian friends were very happy with the food preparation and choices.

We have family who live in Dunstable. We live across the pond. We’ve eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants across the UK and USA and we were very impressed to say the least! The service was exceptional. We had 3 servers waiting on us hand and foot. We randomly went on Monday and they had a Monday special which included a starter, a main, a side and rice or nan bread all for a bargain price. They boxed up the left overs for us and opened the door as we entered and exited. Top notch in my opinion… the food was delicious. We’ll definitely go back and bring friends & family. Hidden gem in Dunstable!

Food is amazing and is good value. I ordered for delivery, the food arrived and i realised that there had been a miscommunication with my order so i called and the issue was resolved very quickly and my food was delivered within 15 minutes. Highly recommend

First time trying this restaurant, and I will definitely be ordering again. The food was hot, fresh and tasted delicious.

Vantage is nowhere near what it used to be. Notified on the app it was out for delivery at 7:40. By 8 still nothing, so chased and it finally turned up at 8:20. So where had it been for 40 mins? Unsurprisingly it was cold. Don’t bother with it anymore, it’s not been good for a while now.

Lamb tikka was tough. Food cold. Rest of the dishes (tikka etc) were bland but also cold. I’d avoid this place. Do not order takeaway. Took 80 mins to arrive despite saying 30 mins. Arrived cold.

Great food and service as always. Went there on 22/12 before a friend's function, there was 12 of us. When we got in I explained to the manager that we needed to be out by a certain time. Everything was on point, great food, perfect service and all for a reasonable price. Well done Vantage
