Good Food Tandoori in Norwich

Gave me mouldy rice. The lamb tikka masala wasn’t good either, so I ate the lamb and binned the rest. Service was fine.

We order from these guys regularly. Tonight our order arrived without the bajais and half an hour late. Food was delicious, as always. Telephone call to Good Food resulted in ... they will be gratis next time ..... is this acceptable? Will there be next time ? Conflicted 🤔

Used to be our go to most weeks, for a few years now ,always tasty and properly spicy. I have a very restricted diet and can only order one dish (with special requests.); family can eat anything. Second time tonight in a row very disappointed especially with my chicken tikka main, it had no spice , no char, bland ..I left most of it. Quality of chicken also has declined .Wife's dishes smelt good but also bland ... I'm sorry but two strikes is out for me...

They seemed really nice, but I would recommend naan of the following dishes. The onion bhajis are okay, the aloo gobi was nice enough, chicken shashlik and lamb shashlik are awful. The lamb is tough and has a weird after taste. The shashlik veg was good but the sauce was horrible. I wouldn’t order from there again because it all seemed uncared for:

It saddens me to write this because normally service is quick and courteous but my home delivery took one and a half hours (I’m a 10 min drive away). I ‘pretipped’ 15% on the basis that service would be good. I called the store after 75 mins - no apology. Driver arrived with stone cold food after 90 minutes- no apology. Black mark for you this time Good Food Halal 😟 Will search soul as to whether to risk another order.

I've tried almost every curry on menu.... its always very fairly priced ina world with most businesses profiteering these guys are more than fairly priced. Really friendly service and top notch currys everytime. Garlic fried rice is my latest addiction is incredible. Top notch, one of the best curry houses I've experienced.

Service is very good with quick delivery for takeaways.. drivers very friendly and polite.. Great tasting food, we have never had a meal yet we could fault.. samosas are small to medium but you get 2 so that’s equal to 1 large!!. So no problem with that as they are delicious.. and the menu is vast .. and reasonably priced for a City Centre food outlet.. so I think they take some beating to be honest.. Infact we will be having another meal from them tomorrow evening.. definitely looking forward to enjoying that.. Good luck to them..

Recommended by a friend, Good Food Takeaway is now my favourite Indian takeaway in Norwich. Really great food and a great service.

Unfortunately the butter chicken was not very nice and there were raisins in everything. Not to my taste at all - very disappointed.

We have tried many curry takeaways. This is certainly our favourite. Prompt, tasty and not overpriced. Excellent customer service. Had the chicken tikka pathia - can thoroughly recommend!

Absolutely shocking food - waited 2 hours for our order and when opened it wasn’t even consumable because of the quantity of oil they’ve used to prepare food. If minus stars were possible, that’s exactly what they’d be getting.

Unfortunately had such a poor takeaway today. My mistake of ordering by telephone, who took the order wrong and address wrong. Waited an hour and a half for it to be delivered partially warm and a different curry main. Even what arrived was only 2/3 full and the chicken tikka was tough. Feel rather disappointed.

Got notification that driver was on way. Considering we are a 2 min drive away from takeaway it shouldn't have taken the 30 mins it did. Food was freezing cold and very salty. Won't be ordering from this takeaway again

Good hot food delivered very quickly. Ordered the SP version of a Madras which came with pilau rice and at a good price. Portion size of Madras was smaller than I expected...but very tasty none the less. Thanks guys would recommend!

I'd asked for delivery as soon as possible and they very much delivered.

Loved it. First time in Norwich we’ve found a take away Indian Restaurant that isn’t either extortionate or not really very good while still being extortionate. Food was great. Price was good. 100 percent our go to from now on.

Food was 45 mins late but they did tell us it was going to be a delay, wasn’t piping hot but tasted lovely as always! Will forgive as it must have been a busy Friday night.

Thought would have a change to our regular Indian takeaway, nice flavours but a little too greasy for us.

Food brilliant as always, and service excellent. Was missing my samosas this time, but never usually have an issue.

Food arrived late and was cold. The food was very bland, nothing had really any spices added which gives the indian taste. The food was dry, hardly any sauce and it just looked thrown together. I will not be ordering from this place again.

Very poor service, choose another restaurant, cancels orders frequently without reason

Arrived 20 mins after being told driver on way, was warm and pouree bread was uncooked and soaked in oil,

Shame the Nan Bread was burnt and virtually inedible.

The onion bargs were so full of chilli pepper my tongue thinks it was caught up in Nagasaki. Seriously, they are usually really good but tonight was a mega letdown.

Always great food… first time it’s been so, so late.

All customers should know that when you order an (SP) dish which Includes a Naan or Rice you actually get a much smaller portion of the main dish. This was confirmed by the restaurant this evening though it isn’t mention on their Menu. The 5 piece of small chicken a small amount of sauce was a starter portions. If I had of known I would have ordered a regular bhuna disappointing after waiting an hour

Oil on top of the dishes hadn’t been drained but we were happy to do that. I think the driver was waiting for the food and they rushed that. Food was v good quality tho

Delivery requested for 18:00 and it arrived at 18:45. Onion Bhaji’s were missing from the order so was the mango chutney. Called the restaurant and bhaji’s were sent out to us - didn’t realise the chutney was missing until after the second delivery. Dansak sauce wasn’t as sweet as it usually is and was more spicy than usual. Food is normally 10/10 but tonight it was late and wasn’t as tasty as normal.

Food was nice but swimming in a pool of ghee in every container and spilled in bag which spoiled the meal which is not cheap nowadays

Food had no taste, the chicken korma was almost white, very bland overall.

Delicious! Would order again. Arrived later than hoped but it was Christmas Eve so all forgiven.

The meal was luke-warm, and bog-standard Indian food at best.

We always enjoy a takeaway from here as a treat, unfortunately on this occasion the rice was quite cool on arrival and the portions seemed smaller (although understandable given recent price increases) but overall still tasty and would order again - always love the biriyani :)

This restaurant is great but 3 or 4 different occasions now they have accepted my order. Taken the money and then cancelled my order minutes later. Leaving me without dinner despite taking payment

As loyal customers of 15 years we have been disappointed with the food and delivery times on our last two orders. This used to be our favourite takeaway but a possible change of chef has meant food has gone from amazingly delicious to bland and tonight’s food was Luke warm at best. Sadly we may have to find a new Indian take away.

Food was mainly good, rice and curry tasty but cool had to microwave 🙁 and masala pappadom was over cooked but the plain ones were good.

I was updated in ,good time, to say that the food was running late in my time window but that wasn’t needed as the food was on time, hot and tasty.

Always serve customers in queue rather jumping to others whilst first person is deciding what they are ordering. Being rude doesn’t help anyone. Customer service is more prominent than serving food. Not impressed!

Ordered from here before & enjoyed it. Not anymore. 1hr 40min to arrive - a cold, oily mess. I know prices have gone up but the portion was half the usual amount. Truly. Sundries we’re cold and popadums were bendy & stale. I tried for over an hour to cancel this order but despite over 90 calls, no one picked up.

My hunt for the best delivery curry in Norwich is over - this place hits all the notes. The tarak dhal is excellent. Basic test passed with honours, The Butter chicken is delightfully unlike the Makhani - another test passed. And they do Murgh Masala, which I've not seen for years. Just spot on.

Their chicken tikka is that perfect rich red sauce slightly sweet, so good! The raita was just yoghurt but I’ll repurpose that!

No mint sauce delivered that was ordered and the wrong Nan bread too, food was still good.

Delicious food, although I ordered raita but what I actually got seemed to be just yoghurt. The King Prawn Karahi was very tasty, as was the veggie biryani. I would recommend both. The brinjall bhaji was too oily but tasted nice. I will definitely buy from here again.

Amazing food as always only issue was got 2 mint sauces instead of the 1 mint and 1 tamarind sauce, apart from that will be ordering again.

The tandoori chicken was so salty it couldn’t be eaten
