Ciscoe's Pan Asian & Sushi in Norwich

Went last weekend and they supposed to be open at 5, and they never opened. Would be nice to leave a note on the door or on their socials, (or update their hours if they have changed)

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere as very tasteful. Decor was gorgeous. I will say that there are 2 seating areas, and the one near the bathroom isn’t decorated very well. We were initially sat there and requested to be seated near the bar. The staff was very kind and understanding and moved us. I think they should work on the other seating area to make it more elegant like the rest of the restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. 10/10. We had an amazing time.

Love coming here! Food is always 10/10 quality, service always great. If you’re coming with a group, definitely get the freestyle platter.

This is a great find in Norwich for fantastic sushi. Went for a birthday meal with a few friends and fully recommend the freestyle platters. They are really reasonable and fantastic in the presentation. The staff were awesome and could not have done more for us. Will be returning here for sure on our next trip up to Norwich

This restaurant had a very charming aesthetic and the staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout. The food was really delicious and came out piping hot (we were offered for food to come out as and when it was ready (which we chose) or in a certain order (starter then main for example) which was a nice touch to be offered. No complaints on the quality and would definitely eat here again!

Fantastic friendly service. The food was great and we tried a wide range of small plates and some sushi. The food is full of delicate flavours and very fresh. My only grumble would be the toliets could be cleaner

I've found growing up vegetarian that trying to get sushi in a city of Norwich's size isn't always very fun, Ciscoes changed that for me. A meal here doesn't lack in quality or flavour whether you eat fish, meat or are vegan. It's a beautiful building, the staff are so helpful and accommodating. The agadashi tofu is incredibly flavoursome, the vegan sushi platter had variety that I've yet to find in somewhere like this before, and the tempura ice cream is unlike anything I've ever had before!

Once again a stunning and beautiful meal that holds so many subtle flavours and textures it's amazing. Everything is so fresh and full of flavour it's astonishing. The staff are brilliant, the restaurant is beautiful we absolutely love this place. I've posted in reviews before that having eaten all over the world this is still my favourite restaurant.

The waiter was fantastic, so friendly and attentive and charming. The food was very good and we had range of dishes and small plates to try out different things.

The food was very tasty and well presented. The restaurant was vibrant and busy but it was a Saturday night when we visited the restaurant.

I was very exited to try this place after seeing the plethora of good reviews on here. I ordered a few different rolls and a side of seaweed salad. I was extremely disappointed by the lack of flavour as well as the soggy nori in the sushi. The rice was somehow crunchy?? Not soft and sticky like it should be. Service was lovely but the food was a massive let down.

Great restaurant and friendly staff. The sushi is excellent quality and the chef had added some nice personal touches to the seaweed salad and the pudding.

Brilliant sushi with nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great with allergies - even though there was one slip up they corrected it straight away (was given tofu in one roll even though they were careful to provide an alternative to soy sauce for a soya allergy - they hadn’t realised tofu was soya!). Slightly pricier than other places but you get more for your money. Multiple options for a coeliac vegan with a soya allergy! Images were everything I could eat and did not get poorly after (the veggie roll was replaced as the one in this image had the tofu). Any coeliac knows what a risk this can be, even if something is advertised as GF.

When we visit family in Norfolk we head straight to Ciscoes. The food is outstanding, fresh, tasty & well priced. Loads of tasty vegan options too. Ciscoe is entertaining to watch, my daughter loves watching her food being made. The waiting staff are friendly & efficient & the venue is dark & cosy. I’m always sad once I’ve eaten everything.. I want it to never end. The food looks incredible, tastes incredible & are decent sized portions. I just need a Ciscoes in North Devon where I live!

My wife & I visited here for our first ever experience of Japanese/Pan Asian food and WOW!!! What an amazing experience it was, from the super friendly & helpful staff to some of the best food we've had in a very long time, well worth a visit. We plan on going back soon as this has now become our a from favourite plus there is so much more on the menu that we want to try.

Go to SHIKI instead! Wow this has really gone downhill over the years. Got takeaway and the Gyoza was dry and undercooked, tastes like frozen ones tbh. Wasabi and pickled ginger are very artificial and the fish isn't that fresh or high quality either. Which is shocking for the premium price they charge. Didn't eat much of it. I think they are relying on trendy sushi rolls with heavily flavoured sauces so the basic sushi isn't good anymore.

Just tell them what types of sushi you enjoy and let them create you a platter accordingly. Excellent food that we paired with a nice Malbec. All the food tasted very fresh and Ciscoe's is highly recommended!

Amazing meal and great service! We went for the "Ciscoe's Freestyle Platter" which was great as they let us choose our budget and any dietary requirements. We got £100 worth for 3 people, they put the vegetarian pieces on a separate level and it was definitely enough food to go around. Would definitely recommend.

My boyfriend booked this as a surprise for me. Lovely welcome from the staff who were all friendly. We were sat in the room to the left which I do feel could do with a little more decor to match the room you first walk into. Felt a little bit like there was a lot of focus on the first room being made cosy and pretty with the room on the left a bit basic. As this was a romantic meal for us it did mean we lost a bit of that mood due to the decor. Food was lovely. Lots of choice and portion sizes were ideal for us. We did feedback to the manager that a member of staff had cleared our plates as I was taking my first bite of the last bit of sushi we had which made me feel really rushed and uncomfortable. We're always nervous about giving feedback but the manager was great and took this on board, addressed it with the staff straight away and was so polite and grateful which we appreciated. I have to mention the dessert which was INCREDIBLE and one of the best desserts l've ever had. Tempura ice cream! I was so intrigued when I saw it on the menu so had to try it and to be honest, thought it sounded like it wouldn't work but it was amazing. I'd recommend saving room so you can try it, I'm also someone who wouldn't usually order an ice cream dessert let alone recommend ice cream. Can't imagine anyone not liking it.

What a cracking experience! With so many restaurants taking the easy option of less team and smaller portions whilst inflating prices to maintain margins, Ciscoes is bucking the trend. Our family of 4 had a smashing meal of ramen, the most incredible sushi platter and a chicken and chips for a fussy 11 year old, it was all spot on, fast, tasty and quality of the food exemplary! Could not recommend more highly.

This supposed to be a special night out to celebrate my birthday but upon entering we were directed to a shabby little table in a corner. The decor gives you a feeling of a depressing teens bedroom and due to it's size it doesn't need many people before the noise of chatting, laughing and swearing(we had our two young children with us) became deafening. It was a shock that for a 'premium' Asian style restaurant to be given cheap throwaway chopsticks was quite an insult not to mention my wife received a splinter from hers. Finally and unfortunately we come to the food. We ordered Yakitori Chicken skewers and Tempura Prawn Ramen for starters. We asked for a few bowls to share the Ramen. While waiting, the manager came over and attempted to take the dry clean bowls while saying 'I will clean away your miso bowls' we had NOT ordered Miso and explained we are still waiting for the Ramen starter. Embarrassing he went to check on the Ramen. The Yakitori arrived along with the Tempura prawns but no Ramen. We started presuming the Ramen was on its way. The Yakitori was quite bland and needed to be drowned in sweet chilli and soy to be granted any flavour. Eventually after ten minutes we asked where was the Ramen that the manger went to the kitchen to chase up. It turned out it was not prepared and had to wait another ten minutes for it to be made. Eventually it arrived and we shared it out accordingly. Again this was a 'premium' dish that was quite bland. But even as we were serving it out the mains came along which led to a confused rearranging of the small table. For the mains we ordered the Sushi lover's platter and two side sushi plates. At last these looked very special and something Ciscoe's could be proud of. We spoke too soon...the rice was low grade and nearly all the sushi fell apart when picked up. It was clearly made to look beautiful but eating it showed its true quality. Based on the other sushi providers in Norwich Ciscoe's has a very long way to go to be considered adequate let alone premium. In truth the only premium part of Ciscoe's is their prices. If you love quality sushi avoid Ciscoe's at all costs. To summarise what was supposed to be a pleasant evening out to celebrate my birthday with my family turned out to be an expensive lesson on how not to enjoy sushi.

I had heard good things about Ciscoes but it surpassed my expectations! We all had a fabulous evening, the food was spectacular especially the sushi. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. We will be returning soon.

We came here for lunch on Mother's Day. We enjoyed a beautiful sushi platter and a range of delicious soups and other dishes. The staff were attentive and helpful, advising us about how much to order. A lovely experience, would return here and highly recommend.

This was a Mothers Day treat for my wife. We had not been before but my daughter (who was with us) and my son (who was at Uni) had been and recommended it. We can see why. The food was excellent from a very extensive choice. Very impressed. The service matched up - friendly and efficient. All that and the ambience of the restaurant means we can't wait to go back.

A pleasant meal, although I’d say it was extremely borderline on value. The food was reasonably well cooked, the service was pleasant, but we just felt that everything could have been of a higher standard. The sushi was a 7/10. The ramen was ok, but the flavour was somewhat lacking. The lighting was a bit harsh. It was an evening meal, so dimmer lights would have been much nicer. Getting lighting right can change an experience entirely. I don’t normally write reviews, but when paying £110 for a meal for 2, you kind of hope they’ll make it feel at least like an a bit of an experience. It didn’t feel particularly special at all. Honestly, if you want pan Asian, XO kitchen blows this place out of the water for value, food flavours, service and ambience.

On the 11th of march, me and my mum came here for a late mother’s day meal and the food was absolutely to die for! The service was fast and the food started instantly flowing in as soon as we placed our order. We got the Fukomaki Soft shell Crab and prawn sushi and it was honestly, heavenly. Ali and Lee were amazing waiters and catered to us with expertise. We would deffinately come here again and again!

My daughter is sushi crazy so we had to try here. It did not disappoint. From entering the restaurant to Leaving we had 10 out of 10 service and were made to feel really welcome even though the restaurant was busy. We had some starters and then went for a sushi platter which was a real show stopper! When going to a new sushi restaurant it can be confusing what to order, what the portion size will be, but the menu was explained to us and we were super happy with the food. We even left with a Bento box of leftovers. We will definitely be back!

Really lovely food! Service was great and it filled us up for a pretty good price too! I usually think showmanship in a restaurant is tacky but the dry ice was a fun touch. I think they know people like it. Would recommend!

Had the one of the best meals we have had in a long time here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The food was quick, top quality, fresh made sushi, with the perfect level of show and theatricality that topped it all off, without trying too hard or being too in-your-face. The hostess was so friendly and helpful, couldn’t have asked for anything more. The pricing was perfectly reasonable for the quality we experienced. We will be back here very soon and would recommend it to anyone.

The food was actually good, but it does not compensate for over one hour waiting time with an empty restaurant Very BAD service, no one checked on us for half hour... Other tables were checked regularly but we were not. We waited for so long that we lost our appetite and will to be there and spend more money on food and drinks. We left the restaurant hungry.

I generally didn't enjoy my experience here. The food was alright but nothing I'd consider special, a disappointment considering the price! I don't know their personal situation, but one member of the service staff was wearing a hoodie and joggers, somewhat contradicting the appearance of the restaurant, which looked like it was supposed to be providing a fine dining experience. We were seated in a cramped table, which wasn't ideal but something I could have looked past had the rest of the experience been fantastic. My biggest grievance was we were asked if we wanted water, which we said yes to, and rather than providing tap water, a new bottle was cracked open before it reached the table but when the staff had made eye contact with us. This felt really underhanded, as had the bottle remained unopened when it reached the table, they knew we'd have sent it back. They opened it away from the table but within sight to ensure they could add it to the tab. I will likely never go back here.

We felt like they were trying to catch us out- not the nicest experience. The chopsticks were cheap disposable ones . Never have I seen this in a restaurant when ordering £20 dishes! Our server was wearing a tracksuit sweatshirt which I found really unprofessional. I’m not expecting anything especially formal, but it’s preferable if staff don’t look like they’ve been called in at the last minute. There was no hot water to wash hands in the toilets, and it was a freezing winter evening. Leaving, I couldn't help but wish we had chosen to dine at Matane for food just as good at a fraction of the price.
