Absolutely delicious and really good value.

Delicious food and very friendly, the prices are great too. They only do takeaway boxes now, so the castle gardens just across the street are a lovely place to sit and eat.

Loving hut is the ideal place for 'vegan' chinese food. Although the food is not friendly for people who have a gluten intolerance as most of the food contains wheat/gluten. That aside it is reasonbly prices, with all the favourites that you would in enjoy in meat form as vegan instead. Lemon chicken, sweet and sour 'chicken' balls, etc. Good portion sizes as well.

Amazing value and tastiest food. Love that they havent changed in all these years, my fave Norwich comfort food. Did a happy dance when i found out they are back open again. Always super friendly and great portions. The fact it's a buffet is so novelty for anyone veggie or vegan, nowhere else like it!

It has been a while since I have been in as nolonger working in the city. I had forgotten how lucky we are to Loving hut in Norwich. The £6 box of food to takeaway was lovely and well worth the cost. I first used Loving hut or Veggieland as it was 16 years ago. We are so lucky in Norwich to the choice of places to eat. If you haven't been lately or ever don't forget to pop in for lunch. It's just outside Castle Mall exit via the Boots store door and head about 100 yds towards the Station.

Really good value fresh vegan food. Plenty to choose from. Very friendly, helpful service. Clean and hygienic.

It was quiet when we went, which I don't understand because the food was great. Typical Chinese flavours but all vegan! The guy working there was lovely and £6 for a good sized box to put in whatever you wanted is a great price for lunch! Will definitely be going back.

It’s a late review, dined in before Christmas and it was amazing. Not a lot of people know about this place, but I’ve to tell this!! The host and the food : just amazing. I would recommend taking the unlimited buffet platter that is just £8 so you can top up your plate as many times you want. Support this small business as much as you can, it’s 100 % vegan 🌱 and the food is prepared well. Chilli corn was amazing, loved the noodles and Thai Green Curry 🍛💚

I like the loving hut but I feel like the quality has really gone downhill. I went there for lunchtime and they didn’t really have anything cooked so I could only try a few things. I have been before and know that they cook lots of different things. Not just chips and noodles.

Best takeaway I've ever had, and my new favourite place to grab a bite to eat! Even if the amazing flavours and the creativity for meat alternatives wasn't enough to keep me coming back, the low prices and welcoming staff will have you addicted! I cannot recommend this place enough. This is for me the most accessible and best way to eat to save the planet.

I have been coming here for years and always forget to review it. This is in my view the best and oldest place in Norwich for vegans to eat. For £4.50 you can stuff your face on the most yummy food, I cannot stress enough how much I love this place, a score out of 5 just doesn't cut it. I just wish they opened for dinner. Long live Loving Hut and I love that they are Worldwide so if you are lucky you can visit many more.

Being vegan, I've had to shell out large amounts of cash to eat outside. This place is amazing and near my house so will be visiting quite often. Very nice atmosphere to the place and nice people.

Great quality vegan Chinese food

Everytime I visit a new city and hear theres a Loving Hut nearby, I always have to visit. I loved my experience here, I visited just as they opened so all the food was made fresh. A small amount of choices on the buffet cart but it was enough for me as I always go for stir fry veg and noodles. They also have fake meat stir fry too. I believe they can cook up more options if you ask. This was also the cheapest loving hut I have visited and considering you can keep refilling for just £5.50 its such a bargain.

Been here a couple of times now. Food has been bang on every time. Really friendly staff, cheaper than most takeaways too! Couldn’t ask for more

Functional vegan takeaway which appeals to all tastes. Bargain buffet of East Asian style food but you can also get vegan fish and chips etc. Friendly helpful staff.

Delicious vegan Chinese buffet for £4. FOUR QUID!!! During busy periods it can be a bit hit and miss with what food is available but the staff are constantly cooking and restocking so you won't need to wait long...and everything is freshly prepared.

Too many empty bowls, very little choice, all the interesting items are out and not refilled. I asked and got the answer "The chef is very busy, so we won't be able to fill them today"! Quite why the chef is very busy in an empty shop full of empty bowls wasn't explained.

Lovely vegan food, friendly staff, no seats.There is one standing height communal table were roughly 6 people can stand and eat.

The Loving Hut is my second kitchen and my first pilgrimage when I return from my travels, with the possible exception of Carrow Road. Great service and food as fine as the city itself - you can't ask for better!

This place smells divine . Me and my partner walked past and the smell drew us in the place looks a bit strange inside but the food is delicious reasonably priced would definitely be back.

The food at this place is just amazing, you can't go wrong going there. Vegan or not! If you don't fancy whatever they have exposed, you do have other choices they can cook, like their loving hut burger.

Was on my way to do some Xmas shopping in John Lewis and did not have time to get a sandwich so got something here. It was gorgeous - definitely going back!

I have visited a number of times and it is good for an occasional quick lunch. I am not a veterinarian but found the food of good quality, my only issue is each time I have been the menu is not varied and selection limited.

Good food, all vegi, quantity runs low at times, but if you ask nicely they'll top it up. Staff are friendly enough. This is a cheap eats lunch option.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE vegan fish and chips! Will most certainly be heading back the next time I'm in Norwich! Focuses on entirely vegan food - no animal products are sold here at all. To top it all off, the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and chatty. If you're wanting to see how awesome vegan food is, I'd recommend a visit here!

We had a late lunch after 14:30 but choice was very limited. Staff were friendly and food was hot. Recommend eating earlier.

So the first issue I find is that you can't find a single time of opening online that agrees with another. Their website wasn't working on my phone and happy cow, google, and trip advisor all had different times. They had anything from opening time at 11:30am to 12:00pm. I opted to arrive a little after 12. My second issue is that it is cash only. If there was a sign on the door I missed it as a gentleman held open the door for me but otherwise there was nothing up inside the place at all that said cash only. Thank god I had cash or I would have walked a mile for nothing. My third issues is that though they have a center table, they have no seating at said table and therefore you need to walk over to the castle to find a place to sit and eat. As someone who walked a mile to get to this place I was a little upset to see a table sans chairs. Why have a table at all?! My last and final issue involves the food. When I arrived half the trays were filled with raw ingredients which I felt was kind of a cop out to make it appear there was more food then there was. Another fourth of the trays were completely empty and what was there was nearly gone since the man in front of me piled his medium tray up. In my opinion there shouldn't be such a small amount of food out that two people can clear your hot food out until you make more. The noodles were pathetic. You had anything from crunchy to soggy noodles in just one tray full. The food looked depressing, there was only one dish that had fake meat in it so what was there looked like half made dishes. I saw how good their ratings were and so I walked in with high expectations. I paid 5.50 for room temperature food that didn't taste all that great. I'm not sure if it was my timing, if they had an off day, or what was going on but it wasn't good.

The food is fantastic. They do the best veggie burgers and the vegan fish and chips is better than the real thing. The buffet is very good too. The service is good and they are quite quick.

He estado yendo a este pequeño lugar durante años. Me resistí a revisión, porque ya es demasiado ocupada y me gusta pensar que es como un tesoro secreto! ! Es un simple tipo buffet vegetariano chino lugar, principalmente para llevar, pero puedes estar en la mesa para todo lo que pueda comer si te gusta. Es un gran valor y gusto, todo es fresco por el propietario. No sé cómo se mantiene en su cocina pequeña pero es muy buena. Una visita obligada el almuerzo regalo.

Great tasting food that anyone can enjoy, just so happens to be vegan.

Since discovering this hidden gem, we have been eating here for years. A highlight of a trip to Norwich, the food is excellent, wide range and amazing value for money. Polite and helpful staff. Eat in or take out. Our non-vegan/vegetarian friends enjoy coming here as much as we do!

although it was a little late to open and we were waiting for a few minutes, the food was delicious, and the girl serving us very polite also. there were 3 dishes when we came - a yellow curry, red curry, and stir-fry mock duck, and all of them were very great, especially the tofu. it's super affordable for lunch as well, at £3.80 for a small box. they had other dishes such as burgers and chicken balls, which i'll give a try next time :)

A real surprise. Outside, it declares itself to be 100% vegetarian. So I went in wondering how much of that I could eat as a vegan. All of it is vegan, I was told. I guess a 100% vegan Chinese take-away would simply be too challenging for Norwich.I won't pretend this is the finest cooking I've had, and the help yourself buffet dishes are a bit of an odd mixture, even if they are mainly Chinese in style. But the welcome, the portions and the prices make this a must-visit when I go to Norwich.Now, if only they would open a place with chairs and tables ...

Delicious vegetarian food. Great for lunch, healthy, and ethical.

There are no seats here and it was raining outside, so we ate our food standing up. That wasn't easy to do out of a polystyrene box. Still, we stuck at it and it was really tasty and obviously great being 100% vegan that we didn't have to ask loads of questions about what was on the buffet. I couldn't believe there was no seating... they really should turn this into a cafe.

So the food is always delicious but unfortunately the last few times I've been the buffet has been pretty empty (even at 12.30) if there was a good selection it would have got a 5 but it is slightly annoying paying and there is very little food ready!

I love this place and go there weekly. A great range of super healthy, super tasty and uber ethical food. What more could you want? Great value too!

Once you find this place, you will love it. Freshly made Asian take out - right in the city centre - a fab choice for lunch. As a vegan or vegetarian this place rocks. But the flavours are so wonderful and the choice so good that even carnivores won't miss the meat. Give it a try next time you want a tasty lunch and want something fresh and different.I can't wait to go back!

Strange little place opposite one of the Castle mall exits, hard to find at first, but the food is good, mainly take away and at a good price, cram it in to your take away box and have a warm satisfying meal for not a lot of money.

Had a meeting in Norwich and my girlfriend asked me to pick up some 'vegetarian fish'..the obvious discussions ensued but turns out they do sell a veggie type product that tastes of fish (seawater and seaweed probably the main reason for this). Took advantage of the buffet whilst there for lunch. It was very tasty. Though not a vegetarian myself the medium pot (£4) was plenty for lunch and everything was well cooked. Worth a lunch trip if you're in the area..

We have eaten here on our annual trip to Norwich for the last three years and it's always a welcome oasis of vegan food. The chicken balls in sweet and sour sauce are my partner's favourite. I always go for the buffet which is tasty and reasonable in price and variety.

Often pop in for lunch during work. Great selection of vegan dishes and really filling. They also sell many of their ingredients if you want to use them for home cooking. The vegan mutton is bloody lovely!

We were on holiday on the Norfolk Broads and I googled vegan restaurants in the area, as it is sometimes difficult eating out being vegan. We were not disappointed to be introduced to the Loving Hut! We were with our children who are vegetarian and both sets of parents who are meat eaters. There was something for everyone, from a buffet selection of mock chicken stir fry, Thai curry, sweet and sour with meat alternative, and a lush, fresh salad bar. The food was absolutely delicious and completely cruelty free! The folks chose mock beef burger and chips, and thoroughly enjoyed them. There was a table in the restaurant to stand around, however it was a beautiful day and so took our food across the road and ate it in the park. Friendly, helpful staff and gorgeous food. We would love to have one of these restaurants nearer to home!

Nice place super friendly staff absolutely delicious food (the tofu chicken balls just mmmmmm) but unfortunately not economical, fun for a "just like meat" treat though
