Great venue with plenty of screens all over so wherever you sit you can watch the football. Friendly bar staff and good atmosphere in the oub itself. Digital darts available downstairs too which is good value. Didnt try the food so cant speak on it. Drinks are normal prices.

Our table was never properly cleaned. At one point there were eight tables that were not operational. Staff walked past and did not seem to care. I gather in one of the ladies toilet cubicles there was no toilet paper, whilst in the men's one if the hand dryers did not work . I emailed customer services, pointing out my observation. Guess what the manager has banned me. Do not go to this pub.

I come to this establishment after a long day of work especially because it’s on my way home. Last night I also stopped by for my 2 glass of Chardonnay and 2 shots of sambuca because I did had a rough day. When I went to the bar to order for my friend a drink I got told to I’ve can’t be served anymore because I am to drunk, when I asked why and what is the excuse. The answer was, we don’t have to give one because that’s the “standards”. Multiple times I’ve asked why not and if someone can please explain to me. By the way I am also working in this Industry and I am a manager myself. Nothing no explanation. I left the bar went to my table and said well that’s a first no more drinks for me and the “manager” that actually looks half my age followed me and told me I have to get out because I am drunk and she can’t understand me. Mind you I am from the Caribbean and have a different accent haha writing this actually have me laughing. So I guess here we got the explanation why I sounded “to drunk” cuz missy couldn’t understand me and thought she was right. By the way wetherspoons is 90% full of drunks. But here we go - Welcome to Wetherspoon ;)

Dined hereon Monday with my daughter while on a day out at the theme park. Firstly, I have to say that ALL the members of staff at Alton Towers, not just the ones in the restaurant were fantastic. This review is not a reflection of them at all. We were lead to our 'table' and had to have the instructions explained to us be a member of staff. It was VERY long winded. I ordered via a rather small tablet that was assigned to the table. I did have to use my phone's camera to zoom the witing up so I could actually read it. Once ordered, we waited for the food to arrive. The place was not particularly busy, but it did take 15 to 20 minutes for both our burgers and fries to arrive down a novelty rollercoaster system. Which then we then had to get our own plates, serviettes, condiments and cutlery before dismantling the packaging before we could eat the food. To the food itself. Just two burgers and two sets of fries with no drinks came to the best part of £40! £40 for burgers and fries of a quality that I'd expect of maybe a clown based burger chain on a good day. The beef patties were far smaller than the bun in came in. The fries were slightly greasier than they should have been. The only saving grace was that they were at least warm when we received them. The experience overly complicated and gimmicky for what is essentially a self service restaurant. It was very disappointing and I really cannot recommend the food there at all. At the overly inflated price for it, especially so. Again, I cannot stress enough how helpful the members of staff were to us. They were not the low spot of the day at all.

I've eaten here a few times over the years when it was Bubba Gump so thought it was a safe bet for a birthday celebration meal before a night at the theatre with my husband. How wrong I was! There was no great welcome with lots of standing around in a cavernous space at the top of the stairs waiting for someone to eventually come to the desk. Then it was not clear if it was a queue or a crowd as the people who got attended to were in no particular order. We had booked and noted it was for a birthday. Maybe I should have mentioned that the birthday person was well into middle age and then we wouldn't have been seated in the midst of a lot of families with young children more with an atmosphere more like a fast food 'restaurant'. We asked to move but the only other place was a table looking onto an open area where the staff congregated to chat and serve drinks. It didn't look too clean and was an ugly view. The food was okay but very overpriced for what it was. The main courses were all over £20 and the cocktails were £10. I'd have expected a lot nicer surrounding and better food for this even in central London. I had the New Orleans Shrimp which were tasty but there was hardly any sauce so was very dry and I couldn't eat the rice without sauce. I will not be returning.
