Frankie & Bennys in Fife

Lots of places to eat at this Leisure park but we chose to give F&Bs a try. We were greeted and seated straight away as restaurant wasn’t too busy. Within a few mins our server Brian took our drinks order and told us about the new menu, there’s enough to choose from but sorry to see a few faves of ours not there, in particular the hotdogs (however our server told us why and that’s fair enough). I had the Steakhouse special which was tasty and although wasn’t cooked medium was still enjoyable bar a few bits of fat but easy to cut this off. My wife had the Arrabiatta which she enjoyed and was well done. My daughter had a plain chicken wrap with a selection of vegetables on the side which was also decent. We also had some garlic bread pizza which was very tasty. We were asked if we wanted desserts and we did look at the menu but decided we were too full but they had plenty of options, my daughter had free ice cream with her meal and unfortunately this was reason I didn’t rate 5 stars as it seemed to take forever to come out and my daughter was starting to get agitated. The restaurant by this time was getting busier and I can only assume this is why it took ages to get someone to get our bill, and no fault of Brian as he seemed to be rushed off his feet dealing with other guests. There were 2 manager (or who I assume were managers, as they were dressed different to other staff) and 1 seemed to be dealing with deliveries/take out and the other 1 seemed to be ….well I’m not exactly sure what he was doing tbh. We eventually had to get up from our table and my wife & daughter left while I stood at the till at the main door, eventually manager #2 saw me and then asked if it was table for 1 😂 I told him I had already eaten and wanted to pay the bill, he then instructed me to go back to my table and sit down which it took another few mins for Brian to present the bill to me. I paid and gave a tip but this was only due to Brian making our experience more enjoyable as he was very Informative and I will add that the latter part of our experience wasn’t his fault as he was always busy and seemed to be the main person serving the sit in customers and it did start to get a lot busier All in all a decent visit and my 2 comments near the end are minor but perhaps other staff could be as attentive as Brian especially as the restaurant gets busier. Toilets were very clean and so were the tables & cutlery

We popped in for a quick lunch on a Sunday before visiting family in Dunfermline. It was just before rush hour, so we didn't need to wait too long for our food to arrive. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere and music. My son loves it too and he is always kept busy with the crayons and activity sheet the staff give him. Will be back again soon. The staff were excellent very nice and friendly. The food was delicious and the kids even got there own menu and on the back was a activity page for them. And if anyone has allergies they are very helpful with that too.

Manager was organised and excellent service. Clean and good food. Have been a few times now and will go again. Weekday lunch menu is very good value for money

Our server Iona was so lovely I’d happily come back if we are getting served by her, food was good and arrived quick and hot. Our banana split was so good just the right amount to share. Made a lovely date night. Wish I had brought cash to leave a tip.

The food was cold, and our server Natalia ended up giving us an attitude because I told her about it and that I didn’t enjoy the food. The ribs were ok has the bbq on top only and I asked apparently that’s how they are made. Overall none of us enjoy the food

Arrived just after 12 today for lunch with my granddaughter. Restaurant very quiet. Starter ok then no sign of main courses after 25 minutes. Spoke to waitress and told it was on the way. At 40 minutes spoke to manager who attempted to talk over me and doubted the time we had waited. When I said if main was not ready in next few minutes I would leave and pay for for starter and drinks the response was “ it might not be cooked the way you wanted in the next few minutes “. Since when did it take 40 minutes plus to fry a sirloin steak 😂. Since when did customer service training for managers become take a defensive and downright ridiculous stance? Steak arrived. Tough and chewy. Ate about a third and gave up. Foolishly I agreed that my granddaughter could order dessert. So she was served a cold half raw waffle and I got a barely warm apple crumble with stone cold custard. Also very concerned to see 2 staff in kitchen area openly eating food while cooking. Plenty staff 6 waiting plus manager on floor and 4 in kitchen area. Shambles and we will never return.

Ate here on Saturday night with my partner & daughter. Waited a while for order to be taken & again a while for the meals to be brought out. However when they did arrive I wish they'd never come. I had a chicken & halloumi burger. I ate just under half when I realised on getting to the middle the chicken was still pinky red at centre! I have since been ill for 2 full days with sickness..avoid avoid!

Had a great lunch and cocktails with my friends today. Server Bruce was absolutely amazing and couldn’t have done enough for us all. He had good banter, perfect knowledge of everything in the restaurant and made our time here great. Food was great also. Thanks Bruce and everyone at Frankie and Bennys!! X

Came here for dinner tonight, I’ll start with saying the service was great from Sarah, she couldn’t have been nicer. Starters were good both had the chicken strips can’t really go wrong. Mains my partner had a burger which was hot but very average. Again can’t go wrong with a burger. I had gluten free carbonara, first it came stone cold then came back few mins later straight out the microwave which fine it was hot at least. However when I tasted it, it was awful, worst pasta dish I’ve ever had. No flavour so bland. Won’t be back.

The food here is on par with every other Frankie and Benny's restaurant I've been to. It's of good quality with generous portions. The real stand out was the service. It was excellent. We visited as a family of 7, 2 adults, 3 teenagers, an 11 year old and an infant. As the infant is only a few weeks old we'd requested space for a pram. The manager met us on arrival and offered us the choice of a number of tables. He was very friendly, courteous and helpful and set the mood for a really nice evening. We were then met by our server, we explained a member of our party required gluten free food. They highlighted the areas of the menu that provided gluten free options and ensured to keep it separated when serving. Our server, like the manager was friendly, courteous and helpful. We are new to the area and this was our first visit here. It certainly won't be our last. Our thanks

Good food served by an excellent waitress in Iona. Funny, knowledgeable and a bundle of fun. Seemed to be a bit understaffed on the floor but the food order was very quick and the 4 of us all enjoyed our meal. Would definitely visit again and if you do ask for Iona, a credit to the restaurant.

We eat here reguarly when in the local area doing activities with the kids. Our son loves it too and we were not dissapointed on this occasion. We had a main course and dessert which tasted great. He is always kept busy with the puzzle sheet on the back on the kids menu, however our food did not take long to arrive. The restaurant is always busy, and it is good to be able to checkout and pay your bill online, so you can get out quickly when in a rush. The staff are always friendly and we look forward to our next visit.

We were going to the cinema and decided to pop in for a spot of lunch. It was the middle of a saturday afternoon and luckily not too busy. We were served quickly and had two courses. The food was excellent, as always, and the the staff were friendly and attentive. Its always a good atmosphere and we like the old music on in the background. My son was kept busy while we waited for our food to arrive with a puzzle sheet and crayons. We liked paying online using the QR code provided, as it meant we were able to make a sharp exit when our film was due on. You can also pay the trditional way too :) We will be back again soon. I decided to come here after a long stressful day engaging in fan letters after completing my novel I have been writing which has copies now for purchase at my local photography and church groups and the over 60s tea room experience. I chose this restaurant as I once had two pet cockatiels called Franky & Benny. On arrival I was seated far too fast, I expect the staff to ask if I have any special arrangements required, not just told “ sit down” like a Labrador puppy. Next exiting part was the waitress who came to jot down my order, as per usual I ordered a cup of tea and a hot meal but was astonished to learn they had run out of potato’s and lamb. When I raised concern to the waitress she spat on me and told me if I don’t hurry up and order something else she would tip my chair until I fell onto the floor, I didn’t appreciate this as I was wearing my new hand sewn tweed jacket that my Great Aunt Penny had hand made for me back when I was 43. Shaking and speechless still, I haven’t slept or left my house since the incident. Other positives it has given me a new idea for a novel I plan to write.

We stop here when travelling on this route, a stones throw from the motorway and provides far better value and quality than a service station. Staff are always attentive, food is fresh and tasty. Worth making a very short detour for a proper meal in a nice place.

Morning all I visited this outlet with my family I was a bit hungry so after looking through the menu I settled for (wait for it) ULTIMATE Mac n cheese (now we are to assume this is a large portion right ) Kids were having a laugh Telling jokes Drinking there juice Then the food comes in like 10 minutes only to be served with what I would describe as a babies portion Had it eaten in like 30 seconds £10.40 seriously I didn’t complain at the time as didn’t want to upset my family having fun So I decided to email the CEO to my amazement I never got a reply Then read reviews and this seems to be the trend They obviously don’t care about customers being annoyed Been a loyal customer to this company but will never be back Well over priced for the amount of food Stay strong ppl x

Family meal for 7th birthday. Ordered some garlic bread as starter for the table. Received the three we ordered (eventually after more than 40 mins) and then another appeared with the explanation that the kitchen thought one we had already received looked a bit “dodgy”! An hour and a quarter after arriving we got our main courses. This was a mixed bag. Nice steak; nice pepperoni pizza; basic chicken Caesar salad; rock hard veggie burger with masses of chips; not very tasty vegan macaroni cheese; unsatisfactory carbonara with non crispy scant bacon. We were then left with the dishes on the table for ages before they brought the cake (which I supplied) with the dishes still on the table. Decided rather than actually having a piece of cake there that it would be better to just leave paying over £100 for the pleasure. Will not be back.

Had dinner here after family trip to the cinema, restaurant was quite busy and noisy. Food was good but found it quite expensive for what you get. Frankie & Bennys used to be great valve for money but I think it’s over priced now

We visited this Frankie & Bennys in December 2020 and the food and staff were fantastic. We were served by Natalia who couldn’t do enough for us. I genuinely can’t stand F&B but this one in Dunfermline is the exception. Good atmosphere and brilliant food. Can see why whilst most of this chain are closed - this one stays open.

Not too busy for a Saturday night, easily got a table for 3. Brilliant waitress however, table service very slow. Waited 15 from the time we sat down to even get drinks.Came to have a pizza as they used to be very good, but now I can't say the same. Only an option for a 10" or a 15", where the normal 12" option? Felt very average, not what it used to be.Friends ordered classic cheese burger and fries. Burger was structurally sound, no dripping or soggy buns. However, the fries on the other hand were crap. I've seen steel with more bend in them than the fries, had obviously been sitting out for a while. Would give 3 star review, however the service from Natalia was exquisite - only reason I'm giving 5 stars. Will only be back again if Natalia serves me

From when we arrived to getting the bill the staff bent over backwards! Great service and food as always. Such smiling ‘nothing is too much bother’ staff! I eat Gluten free as a dietary requirement and they have an incredible GF menu, with Chocolate brownies and ice cream!! Catch up with friends to celebrate 2 birthdays. The procedures in place to minimise the risks around Covid were excellent. Food and service were as good as always and as expected.A definite family favourite and the “go to” when we want variety for fussy teenagers.

Went here for a meal to take advantage of the eat out to help out and was seriously impressed with the layout and the staff. There was a one way system in place, tables left empty to ensure social distancing and tables quicky but properly cleaned down after each use. You can tell a lot of work has been put in to ensure customer and staff safety.The food was really good and service was excellent so big thumbs up and your restaurent could set an example to others!

We had to celebrate my son’s birthday, so we headed for Whimbrel Place for a meal before watching a movie at the Odeon. We chose F&B and we were not disappointed. We received a very warm welcome from the manager and we were shown to a table for six. Our waitress Tracey was fantastic. As we didn’t have a lot of time, our drinks were served quickly followed by the food. Three pasta dishes and three pizzas all arrived together and they were very tasty, hot and nicely presented. For the Choco deserts we had candles and the happy birthday song on. We did enjoy our visit there.

My wife and I each had a wheat free pizza for lunch. The food was delicious, hot and looked great. Well done to the kitchen.We were served by Sam our waitress, WOW!! Sam was professional, friendly and very attentive to our needs. She made recommendations and check in to make sure our orders were to our satisfaction. We were early for lunch so it was very quiet. Sam, our waitress, was welcoming and helpful throughout. Food was average with a very long wait for it to be prepared. With offers available it’s worth it’s money, but not, in my opinion, worth the menu prices. Thanks to Sam for making it a very positive experience

We went here for lunch. It was $7.99 each, plus $2.99 for a drink. So, reasonable food at a reasonable price. Lots of wee screamers though. Not the Restaraunt’s fault. Recommend

Used to come here a lot but haven’t been fir ages WOW! Not in a good way. My Uncle ordered fish and chips. OMG for £10.99 what a let down. The ONE small piece of fish had no substance and was poor. My sister had vegan burger and chips. Literally that was it. You’d get more chips at McDonalds. Not even a side salad. Where’s the vision? None I’m afraid. One consolation, my meal was Ok. JUST. The icing on the cake or not was at early evening there was no key lime pie. Really!!! Overpriced and small portion size. Kids really. I could assure you the USA wouldn’t have it. With so many other restaurants to choose from you need to UP YOUR GAME.!!!Won’t rush back. Really disappointing I would say the waiter was very helpful and friendly.

We recently popped in for dinner after doing some shopping in Dobbies nearby. We were served by Nizar who was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, as always. The restaurant always has a positive atmosphere and every member of staff that we speak to is unfailingly helpful.

Me and my dad come here every friday/saturday for breakfast, service is always absolutely fantastic and food is always delicious! They even have memorised what we have to eat, so it's always quick which is a bonus! We were served by Lisa who is always a pleasure to be served by she was polite (as always) efficient and a pleasure to chat to.

I was staying at the nearby Premier Inn and used Frankie & Benny's for dinner. Great service by the friendly staff. Plenty of choice to choose off the menu at reasonable prices. Frankie & Benny's an ideal place for the business type using the Premier Inn.

Called in with wife and three tenagers for part of our daughter's birthday celebration. Our table was clean and plenty of space afforded to sit comfortably. On arrival we had provided a birthday cake and candles which were taken by staff for later. All enjoyed their main courses and desserts then sat back on hearing the music volume increase. Time to sing happy birthday which was no problem for our waiter. We were then handed a knife plates and serviettes to use on the cake at our leisure. Nothing was a problem and our waiter even took time to ensure items would be fine for vegan preference. He kept us entertained throughout and helped all to enjoy their stay. We hope the barman enjoyed his piece of the cake also.

Great food and service as normal on our weekly visit with special mention to harvey who always stops to speak even if he is not our waiter.

Went in for dinner on way to visit to family further up fife and had a lovely time and amazing food. Our server emma was amazing, nice and chatty and friendly. Made sure everything was ok once our food arrived.

Had an amazing time catching up with long distance friends. The food was just super, particularly enjoyed the Tortollini Niduja was delicious!!! We were served by Stacey, she was very attentive and did everything she could to make sure we were enjoying our night. I will definitely be back soon.

The service is always good in this restaurant. I usually go for a burger which I have to say always tastes incredible. I went for the carbonara instead which I felt just really lacked flavour. I wouldn’t order this again but I’ve never had an issue with the food before. The waiter was friendly and the food came fast. Happy

Ordered a 15 inch and got a 10 ended up with 2 x 10inchs (could’ve taken more) I’ll let them off though because the waitress was rather good looking

Lazy Sunday breakfast. Pleasant and clean restaurant. Waiter was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Had traditional fry up and an eggs benedict. Served on cold plates which a few people have mentioned, clearly a no-no and surely easily rectified. Despite that the fry up was a generous portion and well cooked. Tasty bacon, sausage and egg, though the herby potatoes were lacking in any sort of herby flavour, very bland. Shame toast isn’t included and is charged at £2 per side for 2 slices of fairly basic whole meal. Benedict was well cooked also, nicely poached eggs with a tasty hollandaise and nice soft muffin. I chose the tasty mushrooms to accompany rather than the ham. Well overpriced as 4 breakfasts, 2 sides of toast, 2 teas (tasted ok but you have to dip your own teabag into a cup of water, so if your fussy about the order you make your tea in then best let them know your preference) and a kids juice would have come in around £38 at full price. Well cooked but not that special, and could cook equally good if not better at home at a fraction of the cost. Big uplift just to not have to cook and wash the dishes. However we used the taste card so bill was much more reasonable and fair value at £22.

Not enough waiters to keep things running smoothly. Soft drinks a total rip off with no refills. Even with a discount code off the app it’s dear for the quality of the food. Go to Pizza Hut next door.

Stopped here for breakfast on the way home as it’s handy just off the motorway.

Popped in for a quick snack as we had time to kill, coffee was so strong, I mean I like coffee but this was just so strong, then there’s the noise, music was unbelievably noisy and such a shame because our pizzas were actually very good. Do something about the noise though, and weaken the coffee for humans.

Wasn't too busy when we arrived but the kitchen seemed to be having some problems. We placed our order for brunch and were brought cups of hot water and tea bags by the waiter. We had asked for a pot of tea but they don't do them. Water was not really hot enough for tea so we had lukewarm cuppas. It became very obvious the other tables had been waiting too and after 30 minutes we were still had no food. The waiter offered us another cup of tea and when we pointed out that the first ones were not hot enough he promised to make it hotter. Which he did. Food then arrived and it was good enough. Good sized portions, By this time more staff had come on duty and food was coming out of the kitchen much quicker. By the time we left, just after 12, the restaurant was getting really busy.

used to go to this chain in Perth when they first opened and the food used to be good and ample. Stopped going when the portions sizes decreased in line with the quality. Decided to give it another go after a number of years and went to this one in Dunfermline after playing ten pin bowling. The service was good so no faults there, however, when it came to the food.... I ordered a chicken burger but my chicken must have got a fright and ran away before going into the tiny burger as there did not appear to be much chicken on it. I have eaten chips many, many times but never have i had clump of chips served to me. My wife had a pizza or something that resembled one. Might as well have got one from the supermarket as it would have been a far better quality. Will I come back to this particular restaurant, no. Will I go to another Frankie & Bennys, no.

Came here for a change as we never really do but I wish we never, waste of money my burger was dry and my husbands meal looked like it had been chucked together with a cold onion ring on top was quite dear as well compared to other places with far better quality of food.

We booked a party of 12, which then expanded to 16, at pretty much the last minute. It certainly was close to their closing time. The food was good and service spot on. Even though we were at the end of the evening and pretty much past their closing time, we were never rushed. The cost was reasonable too. I’ve been to a few in this chain and this was one of my best experiences yet.

Took our 27 P7s here for a leavers treat last week. We have taken the children for several years but we were very impressed with their organisation and thoughtfulness to make the experience as painless as possible. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived and they didn’t mind the children making some noise or taking a balloon. When the food arrived because we had pre-ordered they knew the names of the kids which for the first time they used. They made the plates up with all parts of the meal on one rather than parts coming separately which made everything move efficiently. The staff were friendly and helpful and made a sometimes stressful experience move easily. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable, stress free experience.
