This place is such a lovely place to eat. the food is fantastic and the staff are brilliant.they make you most welcome and they work very hard. it is such a shame you are closing your doors for good you will be very missed. Irene and Jack Whittle.

We visited the Colchester branch this evening. Mya was absolutely amazing from the start of our meal to the end!!! What a friendly lovely person she is. It was our daughter’s birthday and she couldnt have been more friendly if she tried. Talking to us all, asking if we needed anything, checking all was okay.. Just 5* service from mya. We were served by Mya on 18.12.23 who was friendly from the start and made our experience amazing. Nothing was too big an ask and she was very warm and welcoming. Food was lovely as always!

Good parking areas, spacious restaurant area with several individual booths giving an element of privacy between different groups of diners. Very friendly and efficient waiting staff. Attentive but not in any way intrusive. The restaurant had wide selection of food available. Meals were presented in an attractive way and all piping hot and nice and tasty. A good experience had by all persons in my group. Will be happy to use the restaurant again.

This evening we visited Frankie and Benny's at Tolgate for my daughter's tenth birthday. It was our first visit. Two of our party are coeliac and vegetarian which can sometimes be problematic. We had such a lovely meal. Wewere able to choose from a gluten free menu which had a number of vegetarian options. The staff member who served us (who I think might have been the manager) was polite, tentative and all together brilliant. The food arrived promptly and was very tasty. There was no query about us supplying a gluten free birthday cake which was brought to the table with candles (supplied by us). The whole experience was very enjoyable and comfortable, catering for a range of ages, tastes and dietary requirements. Would thoroughly recommend. Will definitely visit again.

Six of us went for a birthday meal, very busy evening but our server Andy was very attentive. After a long time inside the house it was nice to finally go out for breakfast with the family. The staff at Frankie and Benny’s Colchester were so friendly and attentive. They had our table set out with the high chair for our baby before we arrived and were able to accommodate for my gluten free diet even though it wasn’t labelled on the menu. The staff were so friendly and the food was lovely! Overall a really enjoyable breakfast and morning out!

We had missed Frankie & Benny's during lockdown so it was nice to go back. Food is what you expect from a chain very average, but service from Mya was lovely. We eat here a lot, the people are lovely, the food is excellent, and the mood is just right. We have a range of requirements, including lighting and noise levels, dietary, the works, and F&B Colchester could not work harder to make each visit perfect. My kids love the place, and my wife and I love it. Seriously, go!

Had a wonderful lunch today and F&Bs Colchester. Food was great, the place was lovely and clean and partitions have been improved between tables to ensure further safety. Mya who served us was just a breath of fresh air - in a world where we’re currently not seeing many people, she was a joy to chat to. Our kids were happy, meaning we were happy... What more could we ask for :)

Covid safe, very well set-up to comply with current restrictions and collecting info for track & trace. Once we were at our table, Andy our server was very welcoming, we had a cheeky but polite 6 year old with us, who loves to ask questions, nothing was too much for Andy throughout the meal. The food came quickly and was fresh and hot. The kids meal had a good variety to choose from, and plenty for the rest of the family from the main menu. Andy told us about the festive offer and highlighted the Bailey's cheesecake as a personal favourite. The overall bill was good value and was grest we could use our Taste card on a weekend. An enjoyable meal and service on all counts.

Visited with my Mum and 1 year old daughter this afternoon under a pre booked slot. This is our first meal out since January due to the ongoing climate.From entering the restaurant it is very clear that every effort has been made to make this a 'safe space' so huge credit for this. We were served by Andy (I think) who couldn't have made the experience any more effort or seamless. We were very well looked after from the moment we arrived to when we left. Every effort was made to check for allergies, explain menu options and ensure drinks, sides, etc. were refreshed as required. Food was excellent and we did not even need to request a box for leftovers, this was just offered. Nothing was too much bother for Andy and us awkwardly mix matching the menu was no issue. We were extremely happy with the service and will absolutely be returning. So nice to receive such friendly service (and with a sense of humour!!). We tend to avoid town where possible so great to have a new 'go to' outside of town. I would say Andy absolutely made our experience and has definitely reassured us that it is possible to eat out safely.On another note, lovely to hear that all tips go to servers to well done to F&B
