Great calamari and fresh pints. The fries were good too. How’s the service was slow and we could see the floor staff going to help in the kitchen and there weren’t many floor staff either probably coz it was the middle of the week. Could have been better managed service wise. However our server Joe was excellent and tried his best to manage.

We have been three times to this restaurant first time we were told we hadn't booked and couldn't get in fair enough. Second time we went inbthe restaurant was empty but was told there would be over an hour wait for food as they were expecting a large party to come in. I asked we were there first surely they would take our order first but told they wouldn't? Last chance was yesterday went in stood at the door waited to be seated this was just after 7:00 p.m. to be told that the kitchen was closed They were no longer serving food? Don't bother wasting your time they obviously don't need your money or want your money Go to a restaurant that actually wants customers.

I took my son for his 13th birthday as a surprise. We both had steak, I had the 12 oz Ribeye medium rare and he had the 10 oz Sirloin medium rare. Mine came out perfectly cooked but his came out medium to well done and very dry. I spoke to our server Liz when she came past and explained the situation she instantly went to the kitchen to order a replacement steak. What surprised me was they replaced the whole meal and not just the steak, nothing was too much for her and she made our meal fully enjoyable. All in all it was a fabulous meal with great service from Liz.

On a family visit to England (we live in Canada) We didn’t get the time with family as planned due to my father suddenly passing. We decided to meet our family at their local for a fair -well drink. We didn’t book as emotions were high so honestly didn’t think about it. On arrival I was greeted with “ did you book?” I replied no sorry then i was told well we don’t have room. We asked if we could just have a drink at the bar Of which just got an eye roll. Yes it was busy, but no-one acknowledged us to serve us a drink. And we kept getting shouted at to move as they were running food. “No excuse me” I asked where best to stand and she shouted at the other bar area. I hadnt been before and didn’t know where that was. I asked for direction she just said “there “ Zero customer service Zero smiles Zero Manners I appreciate we had arrived on quiz night but if the staff just said i’m really sorry we are fully booked. We have a bar area over here if you wouldn’t mind standing here so we can run food clearly & and we can serve you a drink. Or even tell us unfortunately we are full and not able to accommodate you this evening . Nothing just blatant rudeness. . Top tip….. Never arrive to the Rodmill without booking as you will not be treated well. My brother, mum & mum in law live in walking distance and use the pub for lunch. Sadly that was their last visit as they were completely shocked with the rudeness! We ended up leaving without ordering and going to the wheatseath who were busy but so friendly, fantastic service and food and made room for us to laugh & cry and say goodbye to each other after the hardest & unexpected week. Im totally shocked at the rudeness we received for having the ordacity to walk into a pub for a drink not realizing its quiz night.

Llevó a mi madre a la cosechadora para una comida del día de la madre en la calle 1 de abril. La Dama de la cola de caballo negra no fue de mucha ayuda! ¡Esperábamos que nos atendieran y esperábamos casi 15 minutos! Y entonces una pareja entró y la Señora los mostró a su mesa y comenzó a servirlos. ¡No estábamos contentos! Eventualmente vino y nos sirvió. La comida era fantástica y el hombre con el pelo largo era muy servicial. Nos preguntó si todo estaba bien

Absolutely dire! Service was atrocious. It took ages for someone to take our order then when the food eventually arrived, it was lukewarm at best. We tried to order milkshakes for the kids only to be told they had no ice cream - ice cream is a key ingredient of almost all the desserts on the menu! The bill arrived and they’d charged us for the milkshakes. We asked for a revised bill, which took 15 minutes and 5 different members of staff. No one had a clue what was going on - disorganized chaos on a grand scale. No apologies either. Loads of other diners were having issues too. Serious staff training is needed and there is zero leadership in the restaurant or ownership from the management. Shambolic.

What an amazing place with great food, views, staff and atmosphere, and of course we cant forget the delicious wine! Would recommend everyone pays a visit and enjoys the fantastic hospitality this team has created. Special thank you to Laura and the manager (apologies as did not get your name) for looking after us so well.
