At the time of writing this, I've noticed that this fantastic little sandwich shop doesn't have any reviews on here or Google that are anything less than 5 stars and after my first visit there yesterday, I can absolutely see why - this is SO deserved. We made a detour on the way back to Broadstairs from Canterbury, specifically to try Kirsty's lunch offerings as I'd walked past it numerous times (at a time of day when I wasn't hungry) on previous trips to Herne Bay for shoe repairs. Spoilt for choice, with such a tempting range of lunch goodies, I settled on a hand-made sausage roll. I love sausage rolls heated but definitely not microwaved. So I was delighted when lovely Kirsty said she could have one quickly heated up in a proper oven. It was utterly, utterly yummy and I made sure I scoffed every crumb of pastry! Hubby had a large roll which he really enjoyed too and I also had a chocolate brownie (thanks so much Kirsty!) that was deliciously gooey! I also really loved that the packaging was all paper and not plastic! Kirsty is also SUCH a darling and we'll definitely be back here again - if I can drag myself away from the sausage rolls, I think it might well be Yorkshire Pudding wraps next time! Huge thanks, Kirsty - I'm so pleased we came out of the way to finally get round to trying your amazing offerings! (I'll be posting this review elsewhere too, to make sure others don't miss out on a great foodie experience at very reasonable prices.)

Fab Irish bar in the heart of Sidcup, really nice atmosphere, the band were great and everyone (aside from me, who wasn’t Irish enough) was singing along ! Really enjoyed it !

The best sausage rolls I've tasted - flaky pastry, pork supplied by a local farm in Steyning. Homemade fresh pastries and cakes. Excellent coffee. Highly recommended

Thank you for a lovely meal in a very friendly pub. Myself my husband son and his partner came last week at six. The waitress who served us couldn’t do enough for us a lovely friendly young lady. We came last year and my husband left his cap behind. We asked not expecting it to still be there. A friendly and helpful young man went looking and he found it! Thank you very much we will be back soon.

Always enjoy a really good cup of coffee here, and best Pastéis de Nata outside Portugal!!!! Dog-friendly too 👍🏼

Our visit was on our way home from a holiday. The food was gorgeous would definitely recommend. The shop is very quirky with bits and bobs around the wall. We were very tempted by the cakes on offer but resisted just about. But won’t if we are in the area again as they looked scrumptious.

We went to Spalding on this lovely sunny morning to the market. The wonderful and very special Carillon was playing, ringing out across the market place and we popped into the Café on the Square inside the South Holland Centre for a coffee and a late breakfast. Well, nearly lunch! (Breakfast is served until 12 noon). We both had a breakfast brioche. Lincolnshire sausage patty layered with bacon and topped with a fried egg in a large and very delicious brioche bun. Probably not the sort of breakfast for every day (!) but super tasty for a treat - the food was lovely, the staff were so pleasant and helpful and the coffee was very good too. Thank you Courtney and Mike and Bailey. And it was very reasonably priced. You can sit in this 1st floor café and look out over the market place and people watch to your hearts content. Go on - treat yourself to good food, great coffee and a nice relaxing time in The Café on the Square.

Fantastic afternoon tea for 2 for a family birthday. Lovely sandwiches and so many beautiful, all home made cakes. As people have said a hidden gem that I will definitely use again.

Anywhere else, I would be unenthusiastic about Chef Bako, but for touristic Edinburgh it's not at all bad. Situated at the far end of the Royal Mile, near the Museum of Edinburgh, it has a fairly basic menu that includes fish & chips. This was freshly cooked to order, and served with a micro pot of mushy peas, and equally sized one of tartare sauce. They are unlicensed, so I splashed out on a can of Irn Brew. The fish & chips were fine - not a huge portion, and not cheap, but about as good a deal as you can get in this part of the city. There are a few seats along a counter on one side of the shop. I'm amazed how much more expensive it is than Glasgow!

Absolutely lovely hot chocolates with all the trimmings served by a friendly member of staff. And the style and feel of the place is like a lovely old-fashioned park cafe when such things were much more common. Well done to all. A credit to Weston.

Elle & fee a lovely friendly cafe. The staff are lovely and friendly, service good food and coffee arrived in good time. My only complaint is that the crockery that my sandwich came on was very chipped, which could harbour germs. Hope fully this can be resolved by my next visit.

Just visited for 1st time, on our bikes, as tried before in car but can't park anywhere nearby. Met the rudest man, who was cooking on the BBQ, who proceeded to shout at us, in front of many other customers and belittle us, whilst we tried to park our bikes in the bike rack, as directed by another helpful customer. Whichever way we attempted to park our bikes was wrong, for him! This resulted in us leaving after telling him how rude he was. I suggest he reads their own Code of Conduct! We won't be back. Community Pub of the Year? Warm Welcome? I don't think so!

Please ditch the ultraprocessed supermarket bread and get yourself sourdough from here. Deliscious and good value. The sweet treats are also amazing!

Had lunch after visiting the play park behind the cafe. Toasties, baked potatoes, soup and ice creams all great. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly aswell so no one has to be left out when visiting the park, farm and cafe.
