Was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was on arrival and the staff were so helpful. Had a very enjoyable night out at my step son & daughters wedding reception.

I nooked this for the start of my aunties 60th celebrations. Absolute amazing afternoon tea, can’t rave about it enough. Food was insanely good and thought out the presentation. Owners made us feel so welcome we felt like we were a part of a cosy family. Highly highly recommend!! My auntie can’t stop speaking about it!

Damn good service and food. Never had a Nepalese Curry. Amazing. Very attentive (but not too much). I was the only one here (early dinner at 430). Great little spot.

We stayed here for 2 nights and ate in the restaurant on both evenings and it was fabulous! Rooms are superb, hosts are lovely, great variety of drinks and lovely touches and attention to detail everywhere. The small plates were wonderful... scallops, steak and croquettes were favourites. Great location for sights too!

What a hidden treasure! Came here looking for an indian lunch and lacking in options but we stumbeled on to this small and sadly easy to overlook restaurant. Sadly because this restaurant should be packed but it was empty. Better for us, because we got the chance to talk to the lovely owner and got to experience lovely fresh food. Crisp paratha, piping hot, aromatic, flavourful and make-your-nose-run-spicy curry, and a really tasty desi burger! Add on to that fluffy and warm spiced Pilau rice with chicken and you have 2 very happy people with very filled bellies. Come here. The hostess is amazing and her cooking even more so.

Great little cafe on the NC500. Lovely coffee and a rhubarb/apple soda that was really good! Broccoli soup was very good. Tuna mayo was good but a lot of bread versus filling. Excellent side salad. First spinach we’d seen in a week.

A great spot for Singaporean and HK inspired treats! We arrived ten minutes before the place opened on a Sunday, and, I’m glad we did, as the place filled up very quickly. The interior is small, but has a really nice vibe! As someone constantly missing the Hong Kong teatime culture, I was very excited to see some of my favourite cafe classics on the menu, including HK toast, kaya toast, and teas and coffees with condensed milk. We ordered the roti canai, kaya toast and HK toast to share, and a cup of teh tarik, a Singapore signature hand pulled tea, each. Everything was delicious and satisfied my craving for nostalgia (and good food!). I was a bit confused that the crusts were cut off the HK toast, as this is unusual at least in Hong Kong, but my sister pointed out that bread in the UK is much tougher, so this was probably a very good shout! Didn’t have much interaction with the staff, but we didn’t really need to as they were very efficient and we had no complaints about the food. I’d love to come back during a future visit to Edinburgh to try their coffee and larger main dishes.

My husband and I went out ad hoc for the day as it was our anniversary. I haven't been well so we didn't book anywhere to eat as we weren't sure if I would be able to go out. Hence we were dressed in our everyday comfy attire and was just looking for a pub tea somewhere. On our way home we stumbled on Kildrummy Inn which looked very nice but still expected it to be an ordinary run hotel. We walked in to find the most beautiful restaurant in an hotel and were greeted so warmly as if dressed like the other guests whom at all made an effort.. From that moment on the experience grew. The host I think named David showed us through to a beautiful warm fire, it was freezing, then took our drinks order, which came with the most delicious complimentary nibbles, he also spent a long answering all my husbands questions about the Inn. He took our order and I mentioned I normally had a Diane Sauce with my steak, which wasn't on the menu, "No problem Madam, our Chef would be happy to make that for you". Can I say I have never had a nicer Diane Sauce, the whole meal and every member of staff could not have made our visit more attentive or special. During our meal after our starter we had a surprise complimentary tomato consume, again delicious. We came to realised the restaurant is normally well booked in advance but we couldn't have been luckier as there was a last minute cancellation, so be aware a booking in advance is normally required. If your in the area or happy to travel a wee bit please don't miss out on this experience. Yes a bit more expensive than an ordinary pub lunch but we have paid more for a less superior meal or experience in other locations, hence worth every penny. Please take the opportunity to frequent, you will not be disappointed both the food and drinks choices are excellent and you will leave having had a guaranteed very special evening.

If I could have given 6 starts, I would have. Absolutely incredible. I had tge fillet, my husband had the ribeye. Both cooked to perfection. Came with fries and peppercorn sauce which you could substitute to a different sauce if you wanted. Also had the baked mac 'n' cheese as a side. It was sublime. Fantastic, friendly service too. Absolutely top tier.
