The best restaurants serving Seafood food in Scotland

Absolutely the best fish and chips in this area. Ig is a real treat and the service is always very friendly and professional.

First day popped it at 3.50pm, ordered coffee and cake, told to take a seat, items duly brought to table. Then someone from behind the serving area literally shouted at a group of older ladies that they needed to leave as "we are closing in exactly 5 minutes". I caught the waiters eye and mentioned he had just served me, the same disembodied voice "we close at 4pm sharp". 2 days later at 2.10pm I dropped in for a sandwich, took a seat, looked the menu, went to order to be told "kitchen is closed" I mentioned that it states food served till 2.30pm, "served yes but it needs to be made first so we stop taking order around 2.15pm". Maybe the food is good but I have yet to try it. Staff need some lessons in customer care, speaking to some locals it appears they are well know for the lack of customer service.

Had one of the best meals ever in this fantastic refurbished restaurant. Tide and Thyme have always produced excellent food but the new styling is truly remarkable. Everything just spot on. Our meals were all perfect, zucchini fritters, scallops, lamb, sea bass, seafood linguine, everything was beautifully presented, great portions and tasted sublime. Thank you for a wonderful evening. Good luck....not that you will need it....!

Just like how a fish supper should be; no nonsense. Was so good didn’t even need sauce. Visited for dinner after hearing great things about the place and it didn’t disappoint. Super fish suppers, coleslaw, onion rings and finished off with a single nougat wafer. Our server Lyla was a delight; fully competent, smiley and polite. The place takes you back in time, even with a fryer from nineteen canteen - very special. We will most definitely be back!

Sadly the restaurant did not live up to our expectations. Restaurant itself was lacking in atmosphere. Food was overpriced and lacking in flavours. Very disappointing.

We very much enjoyed an amazing platter for two. A whole prepared lobster, champagne lobster pate, dressed crab, prawn cocktail, smoked salmon, hot smoked salmon, a box of super Greek salad,oatcakes, crusty bread. It was beautifully presented and delivered on a covered platter. Enough amazing food to last us a couple of days. Highly recommend all their products,produced by a small family business.

Very nice little place with excellent food, and drinks ! Our last restaurant after a 3 weeks road trip Scotland and a hit ! We loved the food, the staff and the nice owner.

Absolutely delicious fish supper. Our favourite chippy of all time. Coupled with excellent service. Were able to sit in even though there was no table service that evening. We are so grateful. Hopefully be back soon. Thank you.

Customer service a joke. Rude arrogant staff member. If you had of spoken to my wife like that outside i would drop you! We ended up walking out and going If you had of spoken to my wife in that manner outside you would of found yourself on the decking. You are a very rude man manager or waiter you need customer service skills looking at as you have none. If you think that serving good food is all you need to do to be successful your wrong. You need your customer service skills looking at you very rude man. Even tho your local to us we will give your pub a wide birth from now on. Did you honestly think we would spend our money with you after that? The food was poor quality, overpriced.Slow service.Room cold and bathroom not clean..lots of dust everywhere...If you want to spent your money well dont waste your time to go there.They are advertising that is a special place but the truth is theg have long way go and lpys of to learn.

Enjoyed both lobster and crab rolls from here . Amazing tastes ! Loved how we booked and collected later that day as we did some exploring . But you can just pop along and see what is on offer and get straight away . ... fab and highly recommend

First, Crail is a quaint town with great views. Lots to offer here but Reilly Shell Shack was a must on our list. My grandson had not had crab or lobster before. So he and I had one of each to try and compare. For me a seafood lover, it was the BEST. My favorite in the UK. For my grandson, nothing will compare to this, the taste, the experience, and the town.

We stopped here for lunch while on a tour of Skye. The food was delicious and the atmosphere nice and clean. For lunch, we had the onion fritters, Scotch pancakes, and crispy chicken sandwich, and all were delicious. We also got some squares to take with us and ate them on the road later - the salted chocolate brownie, lemon drizzle, and gingerbread were all amazing! The interior is really nice - clean and simple. There isn't an especially nice view of the exterior (the view from where we sat was mainly the car park) but it didn't matter too much for a lunch stop. The only negative - it wasn't clear where the main door was, so we entered through the wrong door and wandered through the dining area for a while before figuring out where we were supposed to enter.

This place is brilliant spot especially for a family the food is amazing very fresh and very delicious, also need to add how amazing these prices are brilliant.
