We visited this cafe twice on our trip to Skye and had fantastic meals both times. It may sound really silly but I've never had an egg and bacon sandwich like it! It was amazing and full of flavour. There isn't a lot on the menu but what is on there is a decent selection and there should be something for everyone - the staff are really nice too and happy to help. There is also a nice shop within the cafe too with a small selection of gifts, artwork and foods/drink to buy and take away.

After a refreshing swim in the nearby fairy pools, just about 5 miles away, we headed to Cafe Cuil for brunch. We arrived a bit early as the cafe opens at 10 AM on Sundays, so we had to wait for a bit before it opened. The interior of the cafe is beautifully decorated—pictures really don’t capture its charm! The menu was a delightful surprise, offering unique options beyond the typical cafe fare. We tried the brunch menu which included delicious dishes like shredded brisket on Welsh rarebit and crispy mac and cheese balls. Both the food and service were outstanding. I highly recommend this cafe—it's probably the best cafe food I've ever enjoyed!

A friendly cafe with absolutely delicious food! We had the beef brisket and the pancakes. Both were amazing. I also had their strawberry speciality drink which was really refreshing. Dog friendly too :)

Really like this cafe. It offers a really excellent choice of healthy lunchtime fare. The prices are reasonable, which cant be said for a lot of eating establishments on Skye.

Lovely cafe. Really friendly staff. Exciting menu. I had the baked beans with veggie haggis. Loved the mugs the hot drinks arrived in. Definitely worth a visit if you’re passing. Dog friendly too. (She had chips - she was on holiday so that’s allowed 🙂)

We’ve stopped here for coffee and cake on a few occasions and have found it consistently excellent. This year was no exception, and the friendly helpfulness of the staff makes it an even more enjoyable experience. A big shout out to the person who we understand comes in to the cafe in the early hours to bake all the cakes and pastries for the day. Fabulous quality. All in all a great place to stop - and they do light lunches too!

Small but exciting menu in this very popular cafe. The staff are friendly and there is a nice gift shop attached which has some food items too.

We stopped off for coffee here on a Friday morning and it was just lovely. One of Skye’s newest food and drink locations and it was fab. Coffee was amazing and great little shop too.

We stopped here after visiting the Fairy Pools. We had coffee and shared a pastry and a scone. The cheese and bacon scone was particularly good. The brunch menu looked brilliant and if we had been in Skye longer would definitely had come back to try it.

Waited 45 minutes for a table. Then waited 45 minutes for our food. The food was good but not worth nearly 2 hours of my life…

I cannot recommend Cafe Cuil highly enough. The whole experience is excellent from the moment you cross the threshold. The menu is fabulous, food even more so. The staff are incredible, friendly, attentive, knowledgable and professional. The interior enhances the food. Would absolutely recommend you visit, you won’t regret it.

A real gem - great ingredients, carefully prepared. Service is friendly and helpful - such a change from many Skye experiences. For anyone in the Carbost/Struan area give it a try - avoid the Bog Myrtle up the road. Some people say Cafe Cuil a little pricey, but really worth it for a quality experience in a calm , relaxed atmosphere

The owner kindly served us, despite arriving only 12 minutes before closing time. Nice modern building with big windows. The cake we chose was sensational - sponge with crannachan topping (whisky-soaked blackberries in thick whipped cream). Highly recommended place!

One of our favourite places to go on skye! Been back several times with various family and friends and it’s always excellent! Staff are really friendly, surroundings are beautiful and the decor is very high end and more like your sitting a cafe in London or Edinburgh etc. Onto the food…….first class….always.

We visited Café Cuil whilst travelling from Carbost to Portree. We both fancied a hot breakfast and decided to pop in. On entry we were greeted by the friendly staff and we were suitably impressed by the interior and its pleasant view. We looked through the menu and couldn't find what we fancied which was a bacon and egg sandwich (preferably on white crusty bread) or a small breakfast. These are 2 basic options that I would expect from a café selling breakfast and lunch. However, they offered bacon, egg, onion and rocket on sourdough bread, which I believe was their take on a bacon and egg sandwich. We ended up ordering this (excluding the onion and rocket and requested it on plain bread, which came on brown granary bread) along with scrambled egg on sourdough, which could only be found on the kids menu. The scrambled egg came well presented, although too salty for my liking, I would have preferred less salt and added to taste as everyone is different. I think that it would benefit to have a more varied menu including basic options as well as the more fussy options. Having sides of beans or mushrooms etc wouldn't go amiss. Ketchup bottles have seen better days

Delicious food. Great location. Friendly staff. We had pancakes with thyme-poached peaches and a tangy rarebit with tender brisket and poached eggs. Excellent coffee. Only minor gripe was that staff didn’t engage sufficiently with punters queuing to get in… I noticed this when I arrived, and also when I departed. Eye contact and a few words of welcome cost nothing.

Considering where this fish and chip shop is located the fish was disappointing. Rather overcooked. Chips were tasty but expected more for the price.

We ate here last night, 2/11. We believe this is a temporary venue for this fabulous restaurant whilst their other premises are being renovated. We were warmly greeted and seated in a busy restaurant that had a warm and friendly feel. All the food sounded delicious especially the specials. Of the three of us I was the only one to have a starter - the hot smoked salmon tart - delicious! Crisp pastry, tasty hot smoked salmon and rich veloute. My dad the venison which was rich and soft - melt in your mouth tenderness. Whilst my husband a generous portion of seafood pasta - it was tasty, hot and very fresh - he said it was amazing. I had the monkfish special - loin wrapped in Parma ham with scallops. Again delicious! Service was the right mix of friendly and competent. A lovely restaurant serving very delicious food. We will visit again if we are up in Fort William.

Stayed at a nearby B&B, so ate dinner here. Had fish and chips, which was lovely, and the best dessert I’ve had this holiday. Small place, so need to book. Unfortunately, not open on a Sunday or Monday.

The welcome was very very very uncomfortable. The guy at the reception desk made us feel unwelcoming. He gave us a death stare as if we asked him for his life while asking if could grab some coffee and leave. The staff who served us, were very friendly, but then another staff just spoke so rudely. Would not recommend for anything. The view is good, but down the road there’s another beach for the view. So would never recommend this place.
