A great find. Went on a Tuesday evening, it was packed. A great sign of high quality food. Very good food and good service. Highly recommend.

Erg lekker gegeten met twee collega’s. Voorgerechten werden ‘to share’ gemaakt voor 3. Hoofdgerecht mixed grill top.

Food, service, surroundings and ambiance were all absolutely first class. Great pace with exceptional food. Had Bhutto palak, highway chicken tikka and aubergine masala which was awesome😋. Nice wine selection with very reasonable price.

Wij hadden een zakelijke bespreking. Van tevoren bij deze zaak gereserveerd. Bij binnenkomst rond 18.00 uur waren wij de eerste bezoekers. Inrichting was redelijke sober; netjes maar niet sjiek. Deze eerste indruk deed ons even twijfelen om de meeting hier door te zetten maar toch gedaan. Dit bleek een prima keuze. Binnen een uur zat de hele tent vol en hebben wij prima gegeten. Naan vooraf, een starter en een hoofdgerecht is teveel eten voor een persoon die normale porties is gewend. De mixed grill is als complete maaltijd meer dan genoeg. Vlees is goed bereid. De smaak is niet te pittig en de lassi die wij erbij hebben besteld was lekker lobbig van smaak. De prijs voor de gerechten is redelijk. De bediening is goed.

Super Indian. Food was delicious will definitely be back. We had the mix grill and the chicken tikka meal. Both were excellent.

Great location near the castle and best Indian food in Edinburgh. Staff are superb, so friendly and the food is just delicious.

We had a wonderful dinner at Chaskaa. We’re originally from England and live in the US, so were craving some decent Indian food. And it did not disappoint. We had poppadoms, chicken tikka masala, lamb karahi and peshwari naan - all delicious!

Never disappoints! Friends visiting from Canada immediately requested Chaskaa on the first...and last night in Edinburgh. Atmosphere and service great. Mixed grills, Monkfish and tandoori King Prawn were delicious. Can heartily recommend

food was average, chicken too dry, quantity was scant, especially the chicken chettinad, had only 3 small pieces of chicken, small bowl of rice, 3 small pieces of naan bread, but prices were on high end. Thought they must of confused with the sample menu which they also have. Was disappointed especially seeing the outstanding reviews. Considering the many indian restaurants, they really have to improve

What a wonderful experience. The food was typical Indian food and the portions where just right. The king prawn dish with all the sauces you expect together with garlic naan, a glass of nice red wine and a mango lassi, the best I ever had. All this for a price below 50 pound. Served by an authentic Indian waitress Niha and in a matter it made me feel good. What doubly want more on a nice evening like this.

The food is excellent. The staff are very helpful and are more than happy to modify a meal for you. Hotter, different meat, etc. We had 4 different curries and ate the lot. My peshwari nann was sweet and delicious.

The food and service at Chaskaa is amazing. We were in Edinburgh for 1 night only and based on Tripadvisor reviews went to Chaskaa for an early evening dinner. We were certainly weren’t disappointed . Every aspect of the meal was superb. Great menu , Good value , The staff are welcoming and give great service with a smile . Thank you for a lovely experience.

Food delicious, we ate off the pre theatre menu the quality of the dishes was excellent, plenty of food so much so we left a little. Service good, not overly intrusive as I think an other review mentioned. Price and value was excellent, 2 x 2 course meal with a couple of soft drinks and tip for £50... Hard to beat in Edinburgh I would say.

First time here and enjoyed it so much we went back the next night. The curries were so good, although a couple were slightly over salted. The garlic naan should have had real garlic on it, and was not great in texture, but the paratha was excellent. Portion sizes are good I was slightly disappointed there were no vegetable side dishes on the menu Will certainly be back

I work a few doors away yet not tried this restaurant before. Last night I had the Highway Chicken Tikka starter and it was utterly superb! The Tadka Dahl was also really good. Will be ordering much more from here in future.

We visit this restaurant fairly regularly and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is delicious. We both had chicken starters and monkfish curry and banjara lamb for mains. Everything was exceptional and good value for money.

Another great meal out with the family. Delicious chicken tikka masalla all round. Very friendly service, especially from the waitress.

I recently dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the delicious and flavorful dishes, especially the Chicken 65 – an absolute delight! We went to this restaurant on New Years eve. We were very apprehensive as the standard of Indian restaurants has dropped in Edinburgh over the years. I have to say that we were delighted with the food and service. We have been eating curries for years and we will most definitely return to this one. Thank you so much for making our evening so enjoyable.

Another very enjoyable visit. We have been regular customers over the past 18 months and have taken many of our friends, who have also returned. My wife who is a vegetarian has never been disappointed. Staff happily discuss the menu, and your own requirements. During our visit yesterday I had the mixed grill as I had not had this for some time, the portion and quality did not disappoint. My wife had the Pudina Paneer Tikka, the only comment that she made was that it could have done with slightly longer in the Tandoor, tasty non the less. Service very friendly and efficient.

My family went with great expectations to this restaurant due to the high recommendations on Google. We ordered 'Pudina Paneer Tikka' where the paneer was abrasive and rancid to eat. The seasoning was just ok and not very great. The preparation was misunderstood completely as your meant to grill the paneer nicely whereas the chef decided to fry it. It completely ruined the dish. Next, we ordered 'Onion Bhaji' where the Bhajia was so coarse and uncrispy to eat- the whole point of bhajia is that it needs to be crisp and easy to eat.I ordered the same in an Italian Restaurant where it was much better.. 🙄 Lastly, we ordered 'Vegetable Biryani' which was so oily and weirdly heavy to eat... The ambience was just fine and the service was ok. We being pure Indians, know that this was not satisfying to eat and were trying to explaining to the chef, but he wouldn't listen and kept justifying his point. Maybe because we are vegetarians we didn't like the vegetarian food so I highly recommend to not go there if you are a vegetarian- don't get me wrong, if your a non vegetarian you might like the non veg food :)

I have now been 4 times to this local restaurant It is the best Indian Restaurant in Tollcross which has about five. Food is particularly tasty and varied. Lamb haggis pakora is unusual but worth trying. Good service and a friendly atmosphere.
