Good service but food quality was less than average. Sushi was Ok but chicken teriyaki was bad, most of it was plain rice, chicken was scarce and tasteless, and there was an evident lack of vegetables. Sad if you consider they charge £9 per Teriyaki dish. We won’t come back.

This restaurant was excellent. The decor is lovely, the staff helpful and friendly, and the food ..... fabulous!!!! My daughter and I are always looking to try a different sushi restaurant. This was definitely one of our favourites. The edamame was the best we have had. I think they BBQ'd them? Piping hot and soooo delicious. We loved all the dishes we selected, but the star for us was the Ebi Popcorn. It was so delicious that we had to order another bowl. The food was fresh, presented well, and as I say, delicious. We will definitely return.

Unfortunately, this was just not the experience for us. We were greeted quickly upon entering, and the restaurant was busy!! Loud and fun, with great decor and seating. We were sat at a table for two, and were told that they had run out of menus, so they’d bring some shortly. We were never offered or given drinks while we waited, and it took about 15 minutes for someone to return with 1 menu. I chose the Chicken Ramen, while my partner chose the Hell Ramen. Orders were placed, tap water was provided, food delivered, and no one ever came back. We did finally flag down someone so we could settle up. I will say, the broth in both dishes was absolutely delicious. I was disappointed that mine only came with a very small amount of chicken (about four total pieces, which seemed like even smaller pieces clumped together by fried breading). Each of the four pieces easily fit in the spoon, and I quickly ate those because they were turning into a soggy mess. I’m not a hugely picky person, but fried food placed in broth to turn soggy and messy doesn’t necessarily appeal to me. My partner didn’t have any complaints about his meal, just that it was “fine ramen.” It was a nice experience, and the large parties seemed to have a lot of service and attention, so maybe we just caught them on an off-Tuesday!

This restaurant moved across the street and down a little bit. They now serve ramen, which my wife said was outstanding, in addition to other fare. My server was able to immediately understand my need for gluten free sushi and told me exactly what I could and could not have. The pickled ginger on my sushi plate was some of the best I’ve had in a long time, not the dyed red garbage from a jar. I would absolutely go back in the future.

You might blink and miss this restaurant, the frontage is quite small and it’s also known as Rice Time. The interior is more of a cafe style than posh restaurant, although they do have an alcohol licence. Drawback is that it can get noisy, just loud chat from other diners! There are private and karaoke rooms upstairs, Toilets are upstairs, didn’t see a disabled toilet but there might be one on the ground level. Staff are friendly, service is prompt. The menu is authentic Japanese, I’ve travelled in Japan a few times. There are numerous dishes with plenty of options including vegan and vegetarian. The other SE Asian dishes are also authentic, have travelled around there. Portions are a generous size and prices are very good value. We all enjoyed our food and would probably return. Liked the variety of teas, would have had the matcha ice cream but they were out of it.
