Came in has the bento box very nice. Would recommend the katsu curry one and the seaweed salad was very nice.

The best place in glasgow area to have Japanese food. The bento-box is such bargain for money and Jessica has been an absolute star throughout our stay. Well be back at their new location in Abercorn that's for sure. Hope you are getting the same artist to decorate the new place.

Great food we drive in from Bishopton and think this is the best Japanese restaurant in the area.

Really lovely meal, quick service, food was very flavoursome, had katsu prawn bento box, great fresh salad, sauce was excellent and prawn sweet with a light batter. Staff attentive and helpful, overall v good meal. I hadn't been for 3 years, don't know why I waited so long to return

Myself and my husband absolutely love sushi!! And this hit the spot on everything, amazing food, great restaurant, the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Best sushi in Glasgow!!! Hands down. Actually totally going for it here best sushi in SCOTLAND. Will definitely recommend and definitely be back.

We have eaten at Japan Street Food either dining in or takeaway and the food is always delicious and the Sushi is arguably the best in the Glasgow area. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone, the staff are lovely and the service is always great.

There was a chicken bone in one of the pieces of sushi I was eating.

Regulars in here and really enjoy the food. Service can be a bit of a hit or miss. Small price to pay for the quality of the food. Been here around 15 times and never been disappointed.

I was excited to have ramen and was instead met with something you wouldn’t even feed to a dog. The smell and taste is horrific. Shame on you for asking money for this.

We browsed the menu and decided to order based on the delivery time quoted which was about 30min. The order was placed at 8:25pm and delivery was between 9:15 and 9:35pm, however it was not delivered until 10pm. 1h30min is far too long for delivery

We turned up quite late on a Monday night and got a nice warm welcome and nice food. Lots of interesting Japanese food on offer, we'd definitely come back.

Honestly what a GEM 💎 of a place to find! We went as was recommended by our 12 year old daughter after she had been before with her friend. She goes into high school after the summer so we let her choose where she wanted to go for dinner and we were Over the moon! Everything was so filling, tasted amazing, prices were great! Service by Jessica and Thandi made the whole experience even better as they were very attentive, patient with the order changes made by the kids 🤦🏽‍♀️😅 and was such a relaxing atmosphere! The place was so clean especially for having such lovely sticky based dishes 😁! We can’t wait to return to try even more. Thank you!!

Spotted this restaurant whilst in Paisley Sunday lunchtime and decided to go back to try it out. Nice decor and ambience although bit tired. Decent menu and ordered the plum wine as I love it and had not had it for ages, (though did not realise it was £12.99)! The cocktails with the Japanese twist sounded really good. Enjoyed the miso soup and hubby enjoyed the katsu starter. He had the chicken noodle dish and I went for the crispy duck bento box with udon noodles rather than the rice. Bento box was bit smaller than other bento boxes I've had in other places, but it filled me up so all good. Owner came over to say hello and brough complimentary rice sashimi starter for us to share which was very nice with the wasubi and the pickled ginger which I love. He explained that they were moving in few weeks to another location very near by which will have barbecue and more outdoor seating. So, we will need to come back to try and just wish we had some place like this in Cambuslang.

Always good food and great service

I went here with my pals, their food was okay, but my ramen really wasn't good, I ate my egg and the protein, and told the server I really didn't like it. Nothing was done, i didn't eat the food and yet they charged me full. Took quite a while to come out and my egg was overcooked for what I paid for was 'softboiled' very disappointing and if someone refuses your food, I don't understand why you can expect to charge for it. Edit: response to owner. My 'PALS' didn't say anything regarding the spice, which we all agreed was not a significant factor, it was primarily that you produced food I didn't enjoy. We concurred that my friends who ate completely different meals enjoyed themselves, and such the one other person there who also ordered the same type as me, ramen, tried both mine and his and claimed they tasted the exact same, in terms of spice ect. this was said infront of you. Not to mention that the staff had also noted a delay on the bar/floor due to your lateness, digging into this other team member's free time. Embarrass yourself further if you like I've worked in restaurants and should someone refuse to eat food because it was poor? You either change it or refund it, good business practice and pretty much standard.

We have been here several times amd the food has always been great and good value for money. The service as always was great. The decor could be better and it was very quiet at lunch time. We plan to go for an evening visit and hopefully it will be busier.

I visited on Sunday 26th for the first time trying this place .Ordered seafood ramen and a couple of cocktails.The seafood ramen was okay but only had salmon in it which was disappointing.The cocktails overall were okay.The price was fairly average Deco was colorful and artwork was nice.overall for me I wouldn't recommend as there are better Japanese restaurants nearby.

Lovely decor inside. The food was really good and fresh. Good menu with large choice. Parking nearby. Got 2 starters between us. I got making sushi which was great. My partner got the teriyaki chicken which was a large portion. Pleasant staff and good service.

Sitting next to a busy junction on the outskirts of Paisley, Japan Street Food is an unlikely place in a variety of ways. It belies the expectations set by it's location as it produces some of the best Japanese street cuisine I have tried in recent memory. We had Pumpkin Korroke and Chicken Tempura to start, followed by Chicken Teriyaki and Salmon Maki for our mains... Every bite was like a tiny taste of Tokyo 😀

I really enjoyed the food and the service was great. Just a little dark inside.

This is my go to sushi place everything seems made fresh to order tastes amazing the garlic beef teriyaki is to die for! They provided me with soy sauce pickled onion and wasabi even chopsticks which I needed. Always five star at this restaurant and the delivery driver is so nice to always a happy man x

Authentic nigiri and good portion

Not going to rant but feedback is crucial to improvement and I want to see this place do well. I attended this place today with a friend and my other half. Service was decent but food was definitely not up to stuff. Most food was lukewarm or cold, crab was so dry and the temaki was front loaded. Rice wasn't fresh and most of the meats were not tender or cooked appropriately. I worked in this type of environment and know the challenges but the food has to improve for the customers. We didn't make a scene however didn't leave a tip or have the heart to say to the waiter. He was a nice enough guy but I think he could tell we didn't enjoy the food and could have maybe had a chat or spoke about a little off the bill. I would return if there were improvements implemented, the place is beautifully designed and had potential to rival Okome.

Ate here at the weekend and couldn't fault the food nor the service. We took the two kids with us too and they thoroughly enjoyed it. My stir fry was excellent... Freshly cooked, lovely flavours and will definitely be back. Sushi was brilliant too we also. Randomly saw it driving through Paisley so thought we'd give it a try and what a find. Glad we decided to stop.

Went to Japan Street Food to try out the Sushi making class and it was amazing! The class was informative, fun and well paced. And you get to enjoy all the wonderful Sushi you made afterwards. Lovely staff, great choice of ingredients and overall a wonderful experience :) PinkyP

Fantastic food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. We had udon and yakisoba veggie dishes and the #2 veggie sushi platter. Soooooo many flavours and delicious textures in each dish. We also had the yakitori starter and wished we'd ordered two. The music was audible but not too loud. The restaurant was cozy and comfortable. Everything was done to a high standard. Bonus points for vegan AND gluten free options on the menu. Will definitely be back!!!

Absolutely loved the food, the actual restaurant looks great too. There was 4 of us, I had a lovely bowl of Ramen, the others had variations of the teriyaki. Also had the crispy California roll, delicious. And a salmon sashimi. The only thing that let it down was that it was very cold.

Good food, polite staff, ready when it was supposed to be. Only negative is quite expensive for what it is. 2x ramen and a small sushi mix was over £40.

Its the worst restaurant I have ever been to and I would never recommend this restaurnamt to anybody. The food was very cold and not cooked properly. The people working there was also rude and would never take my order on time. Also the manager,s attitude was really bad.

Food from here is always phenomenal and I do not use that word lightly so I’m enlightening you if your humming and hawing should I order well yes you should! Katsu curry is the best from anywhere and I mean ANYWHERE sushi is made fresh tastes delicious the price you may think a bit pricey but no no no not for what you get it’s definitely worth it. Ordered four appetizers 2 hot starters where cold . Tuna salad was salmon & tempura prawns served bought in sweet chilli sauce . In fact think most of of food is bought in. Very disappointed. Waiter would not let me leave until I paid .in full for everything. Absolute joke . So sad. Many good meals in past . Ask to speak to owner wasn't available. Shocking .

Unsure of what this place is like to sit in, but delivery is shocking. £5 on justeat - free on Uber if you have Uber one…was getting updates on the order yet their tablet was supposedly down? Called them to see if the order was still coming and was met by 3 different members of staff and none of them polite. All rude.

Awful experience with them. Ordered via Uber eats, only when we called we were told they no longer had Uber eats because “their tablet is down”, but they have left their account active on Uber. The person we spoke to on the phone was so rude. Horrible management and service from them. Avoid like the plague.

The food was fresh and not over salted. The place is decorated beautifully but the young man who served us made our night, he was super attentive and polite. I think if we went back we would try some sushi. Overall very nice experience

This was my first time I had ordered from Japan Street Food . I had chicken gyozas and chicken katsu curry. Both were loaded with flavour and good portion sizes .

Excellent. Went with my wife. Gluten free catered for. Very enjoyable 2hrs making sushi.

We ordered the Ramen with an additional boiled egg, and paid extra for it, but never got it. Also ordered it as spicy and wasn’t. Everything else was nice.

The food was unreal! Cocktails strong and plentiful! Had the katsu curry and mixed meat udon and both were better than a famous restaurant that sells them. The service was great, lovely waitress by the name Barkha.

Food and service was very good. We had noodles, sushi, bento and it was all good. Place was really quiet, so there was only 1 person in the kitchen and food took time to prepare and it would be better if they had just served the food when it was ready.

Rude staff and underwhelming food. Definitely go to okome which is levels above in service and in taste.

We usually have a good experience here but on this occasion we had such a negative experience that we doubt we will return. We experienced a long wait for food and when our Katsu curry arrived it was cold. We waited around an hour for our starter sushi to arrive - just one portion of nigiri and a tempura prawn roll. Perhaps this could be explained and apologies made if the restaurant was busy but there were only 2 other tables in and the same time as us and they had their food before we ordered. Moreover, when the Katsu curry finally arrived, it was cold. Spent £40 on a disappointing meal that took an hour to arrive.

The good was a bit of a let down. The takoyaki didn't seem to have any pieces of 🐙 in the balls. The tofu katsu has been chopped up which I wasn't keen on. Should have got the pumpkin katsu box. Ate less than half of it. Will choose better next time.

dumplings were amazing - will definitely be buying again. ordered the beef ramen with the spicy broth. got it and the broth had no spice and just had a sauce packet of sriracha. the broth appeared quite creamy looking. it tasted fine though. will definitely be back to try something else

We loved this place in paisley. The service was great, everyone was just Soo nice. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Food was top notch but my favourite was the little moons, which I had was coconut mochi. They were absolutely delightful, I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to try it.

Good selection and variety of tasty Japanese cuisine. Would recommend the salmon, tuna and prawn sushi and the beko boxes. The mock tails are very flavoursome. Was easy to get a table both times I’ve been.

Excellent food and delivered very fast

Delivery time quoted as 1hr 30min but even with this it still arrived late and only after 3 phone calls to the restaurant. To make it worse, it was only half of the order! Phoned to be told the best they can do was to re-send the out standing food. Applying for a refund via JustEat, failing this through my credit card.

Very disappointing food. Service was pretty awful though looked like the young server was potentially embarrassed to deliver substandard meals to customers. The pumpkin korroke supposedly comes with katsu curry sauce, it tasted more like dishwater. When asked about it we were told it wasn’t meant to be katsu sauce despite stating this on the menu. When queried for the third time the answer we finally got was that it’s a bottled katsu sauce they’ve started to buy in and they need to update their website and menu - still not sure how it’s even remotely katsu sauce. Sushi was pretty stale and rubbery. Ramen Noodles must have been soaking for a couple of weeks. The aloe Vera bottled drink was nice - would highly recommend this but save yourself the hassle and buy it in the supermarket instead. And the gyoza dumplings were tasty enough. Atmosphere non existent as nobody else there - I guess that should have been the giveaway. Sadly will not be returning or recommending.

Just incredibly disappointed. We were one of two tables at lunch time. I ordered the Ramen with the £2 upcharge for tonkatsu and the £1 upcharge for a soft boiled egg. Not only did it take at least 40 minutes to come out, but the noodles were obviously saturated in the broth, the egg was well over done and the tonkatsu was dry. I took the picture of the ramen just as the waiter came to collect it. I told him about it and didn’t ask for anything else. I used to work in restaurants. I understand off days. But what seals the 1 star experience was that management never came by our table to apologize. We are one of two tables. There’s just no excuse. If you’re torn between where to go for sushi in Paisley just go to Okome

First time ordering I love avocado sushi 🥑 which is hard to get nice freshly made but I ordered a bunch of maki and nigiri and it was definitely fresh and tasted great also their katsu bento box is great little dish must be the best katsu sauce I have tried in a while! And their stir fry chicken noodles where delicious! Definitely ordering again. Thank you 😊
