The Sushi Box Aberdeen in Aberdeen City

This is our favourite Aberdeen sushi place! Always good food, excellent sushi and ramen. The staff is always helpful and polite.

Second time at this brilliant little sushi restaurant and we weren’t disappointed. The sweet potato and avocado maki is SO GOOD! Reasonably price and the customer service is fantastic too. Would definitely recommend! Can’t wait til next time 😻

Was a little put off by the location but what a hidden gem! Both had the spicy chicken bowls and ordered a side of sushi (teriyaki chicken, spicy crab and cucumber & uramaki - Tomago and cucumber maki),everything was fresh and delicious. Staff were also really friendly. Will definitely be back.

Last week I tried The Sushi Box for the first time with a friend. We shared the Craver’s Set which is 24 pieces of maki comprising of: • x8 salmon, tamago & avocado maki • x8 tuna & avocado maki • x8 sweet potato & avocado maki All for a reasonable price of £27.00 It was freshly made on request and we only waited about ten minutes or so before enjoying our tasty meal. Today I tried their Sushi Box Set as a takeaway option for my lunch break. The Sushi Box Set contains: • x1 tuna nigiri • x1 salmon nigiri • x1 prawn nigiri • x1 tamago nigiri • x1 chicken teriyaki gunkan • x2 small cucumber maki • x2 small salmon maki For only £8.50! A very quaint place with friendly staff that can be found on the ground floor of the Aberdeen Market next to the butcher. Bookings aren’t necessary but you can email the sushi box in advance to ensure a seat - just incase it is busy. You can find this information on their FB page, along with their rave reviews. So far I’ve been impressed by the quality of the food & ingredients as well as the decent price. I’m looking forward to exploring their menu further and trying out some tasty ramen and donburi.

Not your common traditional ramen but definitely tasty, will come back. I’ve had ramen in different cities in Japan and although the flavour structure is noticeably different, it is very good. Good portion Kara Kara ramen , medium weight broth , flavour is balanced.

Ive been going back to the sushi box since i was first introduced by a friend in 2017. The first meal i tried and has become my go-to everytime was the chashu pork ramen. The broth was delicious and rich in flavour. The half egg was sweet and moorish. I only wish it was served with a whole egg. I have since been back back many times solo and have introduced my sister also. She loves the kimchi ramen which looked and smelled delicious. my drink of choice is the miso soup, perfect to wash down the rich ramen broth. If im feeling extra hungry or indulgent i will get sushi on the side - usually the tuna or salmon small maki. Its definitely worth going to the aberdeen market to try . There is limited seating so you may have to wait for a seat or u can takeaway. Prices are reasonable :) Overall it is great and it never disappoints.

The staff are so nice and couldn’t be more helpful, excellent customer service. There is a good selection on the menu. The decor is really nice and there are picnic tables outside the restaurant to eat on which is a nice new addition. The food was very tasty and good value for money. Would recommend.

Great ramen and donburi and yummy sushi. Good value, take cash as they don't accept card. Friendly staff and good central location.

We ordered two ramen and a sushi box. We kept waiting for about 40 mins. Spicy kimchi ramen is delicious. I just wonder why the sushi rice is sweet and it's more like sticky rice????

Tried here for the first time today and I already can’t wait to go back! Really cute decor and the food is incredible. I ordered the kimchi ramen and spicy crab sushi and both were so tasty. Devastated that I didn’t find this place sooner, go and try out this hidden gem!!

So much better than chain sushi restaurants. The prices are reasonable and the dishes are made fresh. This place is really small, maybe enough space for 14 or so, so fingers crossed if you’re going it’s not busy. Highly recommend for a sushi feast!

Don’t be put off by the location. We were looking for somewhere different for a light lunch, had heard about this place , looked at the reviews and decided to give it a go. Absolutely fantastic, staff brilliant, my wife wasn’t sure what to go for , the chef asked what type of things she liked and went with his recommendations. We had 16 pieces of sushi, under £20. I’ve paid double that for much poorer quality. A real treasure of a find.

I'd been meaning to go to Sushi Box for a long time now as it turns out the Aberdeen Indoor Market is full of amazing food. In the last two week I have been twice. First I hesitantly had the chicken ramen after a hard night of drinking and man it sure did cure my pains. Super tender chicken and little sweet kernels of corn. Today I had the KaraKara Pork ramen which has spiced minced pork and tofu as well as the traditional slices of roast pork. It was utterly incredible! The broth is super balanced and feels like its doing you good when you eat it. I can't recommend this establishment enough. I hope to work my way through the entire menu!

Had the Tori Don Teriyaki Chicken bowl and the spicy crab sushi, it was fresh, delicious and a lot more authentic and cheaper than some of the bigger chains in Aberdeen. I highly recommend giving it a try.

I visit the sushi box every week and have done since opening, absolutely fantastic staff and super accommodating for my pickiness. Always willing to do me a special order, or smaller portions. Personal service from start to finish. Always clean and very welcoming.
