Seoul restaurant Korean bbq & Japanese in Aberdeen City

Ordered sushi, chicken skewers, udon noodles - everything was delicious. Also ordered delivery multiple times and they never let down. Plus they deliver the food in individual cooler bags, which is handy for use after 😊

I shouldn't really post this review because people will want to go after they read it 😇 and I'll find it difficult to book a table. Food was fantastic, service was 1st class. Salmon and teriyaki - wow soooo tasty. Stir fry was my favourite. Meal for 4 plus a bottle of wine was £64 including 5% service - obviously we increased that 🤣. First time I've ever increased a pre charger service charge.

Staff were lovely, even though prices are pricey.

My starter never came, staff were very confused and didn't know what items on the menu were, there was an extreme issue with splitting the bill which I've never experienced in any other restaurant in the UK, go to yorokobi instead 😄

Food was great, very tasty - extremely generous portions and they even packed up our leftovers to go. I would recommend treating most meals as sharing meals, we ordered far too much food but all of it was good and the service was very fast. The Japanese Curry (Pork) and the Tofu and stir fried Kimchi were 10/10!

a perfect meal! such a massive selection of both food and drinks and with only sampling a small section you can tell that anything on this menu would be great! everything tasted so fresh and high quality, staff were also very friendly and were happy to pack up some of my friends extras! also just a well decorated place with a cosy vibe, very clean and nice music playing as well! i would really recommend anything but the korean style pan fried pork udon!!! it was so satisfying

Food was not authentic korean food at all. It was fine, but service was something else...the waiter was so rude and said some racist comments to me and my group of friends. He then demanded for the service charge and tip on top of that...

Food was amazing and staff was awesome, the owner was also a nice guy and very funny! Me and my family had a great time and hope to visit again! The chicken dishes he let us try were also very good, even to some of us that don't like spicy food. Recommend 10/10

Picture on the website vs. what I god delivered. Absolut scam, food is totally different and not even half of what is shown. Is beyond my understanding how they can be so selfish to do things like this. Paid almost 15£ for that plate and is not worth it at all. Be careful with what you order in restaurant or on delivery, their pictures might be scams.

Very good experience at the restaurant, there were a lot of good options to pick for food although quite challenging as the menu makes you want to try everything, except from a few out there dishes that may not be to my liking. The dishes that I did choose were excellent, ended up going for some prawn and avocado dragon roll, spicy Korean glass noodles with beef and some pickled cucumbers as a side. The inside of the restaurant is very well decorated and it makes you want to look all round to see everything, not enough photos were taken to show you but you have to check it out for yourself. Service was really great, food was prepared and served promptly, didn't have to be hungry for too long. All in all, it's recommended for you to go and try this place.

Best Korean restaurant in Aberdeen so far. We like the food and of course hospitality from the staffs, specifically one Malaysian guy who was very sweet.

We visited late in the evening on new year's day, and were made to feel very welcome. We were a little short for time so kept it simple with a delicious sashimi salad, katsu prawns, seafood ramen with udon noodles, and teriyaki stir fried noodles. Absolutely delicious, will definitely be back. That sashimi salad was beautiful 😍

I have visited this restaurant twice. The first visit was for general dinner. The food is in very high quality. The oxtail soup and bibimbap is amazing. The second visit was for Korean barbecue. The price is £21.5 per person and it’s a bargain:) I wish the restaurant will include more vegetable for the set barbecue meat.

This place is the go-to restaurant around. The atmosphere and service are impeccable, and the food is delicious. The whole area is decorated lavishly and makes you feel like a millionaire. The only problem is that some of their dishes are incredibly salty (such as their fried rice or KBBQ chicken rice). If you can look past that, it’s great.

Fantástica comida y un gran servicio, fuimos un viernes alrededor de las 3 pm, así que no estaba demasiado ocupado, pero comenzamos a recoger cuando nos fuimos, tuvimos barbacoa coreana con una selección de cerdo, langostinos chispeantes (porción generosa con una buena patada a ellos) , fideos vegetales y el rollo de crujiente de langostinos todos los cuales estaban deliciosos! Nuestro camarero era encantador muy atento y divertido también. Sin duda volveremos!

Estábamos fuera como un grupo de amigos y principalmente pedimos una selección del menú de barbacoa, con algunos dumplings y sushi. El servicio fue muy bueno. Nuestro camarero era de primera clase, divertido, y nos enseñó a usar la placa caliente y luego nos dejó a ella. La sopa de miso estaba buena, las albóndigas (Gyozas) estaban deliciosas, los rollos de California estaban deliciosos y un buen tamaño ayudando. Luego salió la fiesta de la barbacoa. Mezcla las carnes crudas en un plato que cocinas tú mismo en la mesa de la placa caliente. Gran diversión, especialmente después de unas cervezas Assai. La calidad de la carne era muy buena, la carne de res era tierna y suculenta, y el cerdo estaba delicioso, todas las rodajas finas listas para cocinar. Hecho para una gran noche y algo un poco diferente de la norma. Bill vino y se sorprendió de la relación calidad-precio, y pequeño cargo por servicio incluido, solo el 5%, por lo que dejó una propina más grande. En general, una gran experiencia y buena comida. Sin duda volveré de nuevo y le recomendaría que le dé una oportunidad.

Vinimos aquí por primera vez y no estábamos seguros de qué esperar. Nos quedamos encantados con el menú. Tenían tantos tipos de sushi y otros alimentos. No probamos la barbacoa coreana, pero la próxima vez lo haremos porque se ve increíble! La comida se preparó rápidamente y era genial. El personal era muy amable, la mujer que nos estaba sirviendo era tan dulce y siempre estaba cerca si necesitábamos algo. Fue un encuentro muy agradable. Sin duda recomiendo venir aquí con amigos o incluso como un lugar de citas por la noche.

The food was great and nothing bad to say about it. I didn’t really like the miso soup but I am just not a fan of it. The sushi were amazing and the sushi rice was so right. This place is definetly very authentic and probably the closest place with food related to Korean and Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere was quite nice. The member of staff that brought us the menu was not the most friendly and the menu had a big majority of items in a different language that we didn’t know. Whenever we asked the member of staff about what something is or has something inside the answers were short and not always very descriptive.

Booked a table days in advance, when arrived we were given menu, we chose our food just to be told we can get it because we need a grill table.(when booking no one informed us of this). Food has no taste, kimchi no flavour just spicy. Soup was so watered down that it tasted like plain water. Asked for the starter to be put in a box for us, waitress brought a box and bag to table and told us to do it ourselves. Paid almost £100 and I was so disappointed that we went and got takeout after. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! Save your money go somewhere else!!!!

The interior decoration is full of Japanese elements and is nice The eel rice sauce is right but the rice is wrong. It is actually long rice, which tastes a bit weird. The beef tongue skewers are a bit too salty, but still delicious The rice in salmon nigiri sushi is super sticky...it's basically glutinous rice

Very extensive Korean and Asian cuisine. The beef is cooked very well, as you would expect from Korean cuisine. Starters, sushi and much more are prepared fresh and straight away, whatever is ready first comes first, unusual of course, but if you're not a snob, absolutely fine!

Visited for the first time with 5 friends. The food was amazing and so different. Loved that we could bbq our own food at our table, as well has having freshly prepared dishes arriving as soon as they were ready. Wonderful helpful staff. Very enjoyable evening. Think this is my favourite restaurant in Aberdeen. 100% recommend.

One of the nicest Korean restaurants I've ever been to. The portions were huge and tasty, and the staff and atmosphere was lovely. My only complaint is that it took a while to get the attention of someone in order to pay.

Went out for date night and had the blandest food. Sushi had a left out for a while texture about it. Rice was flavourless and no aroma. Pork cutlets were mid at best. When ordering the scallops, bacon and crabmeat skewers we were met with two scallops on a single skewer and some wilted salad. Upon asking the waitress about the lack of bacon and crabmeat she was confused and didn’t understand what I meant as I ordered scallops skewers in her mind. The miso soup was so watered down you could see the miso particles settling and splitting to the bottom. The added seaweed was the only flavour. When my girlfriend tried to ask about the scallops I was hesitant to complain as it was my first time dining here so told her don’t. However, following this the waitress came over and bent forward into our faces and grilled us if we were alright leaving us both a bit bewildered. All in all… buffet food at gourmet prices and not authentic Korean.

Este es con diferencia uno de mis restaurantes favoritos en Aberdeen. Estábamos tan consentidos por la comida y el servicio. Un amigo y yo fuimos a cenar y pedimos una de las mesas de parrilla. Pedimos la selección de mariscos, junto con algunas guarniciones. Teníamos vino y sake (vino japonés). Los mariscos venían con pimientos, ajo y dos salsas para cocinar la comida a la parrilla. También nos dieron arroz con el marisco. ¡No te puedes perder nada! Todo era fresco y el personal no solo era servicial, sino que también eran entretenidos. ¡La gama de alcoholes que tienen es tan sabrosa! Volveré lo antes posible.

Odd situation. Got seated at a weird table then got the meals were coming out at wildly different times for our table did not see the same issue at other tables and got the wrong cutlery for the meal.

Came here with some friends and had a truly magical night. The food is to die for. Fresh as can be and with such bold flavours. Staff were kind and polite and made us feel very welcome.

Worth a visit for some nice food. Have yet to try the Korean BBQ but everything else I've had has been very tasty.

Lovely food and great atmosphere

First time doing Korean BBQ and it was brilliant. Restaurant is beautiful, staff are great and the food is amazing. As expensive as you want to make it which is a rare find these days, worth every penny. Can’t wait to come back to try more of the menu. Definitely worth a try if you’re in Aberdeen.

Great place with catchy K-pop music playing in the background (coming from someone who doesn't like to it normally) and a wide selection of food - my favourites being the chicken fingers and crab tempura. Staff are very friendly. That being said, it isn't the cheapest so you might want to go somewhere else if you're skint.

I had an amazing experience dined here! I tried the kimchi jigae, sundubu jigae, dragon rolls, salmon baked cheese sushi, soft shell crab sushi, cheese topokki, and for starter we had wakame, dumplings, and agedashi tofu. Everything was on point! The highlight of my meal was definitely the salmon baked cheese sushi (hopefully this is the correct name, i attached the photos) – absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

We have been to South Korea and love Korean food. Today we went second time to this restaurant but unfortunately, both times we were disappointed.

This could be the best place in Aberdeen for a mix of Japanese and Korean food. I've never been to Korea so can't comment but the Japanese food I had seemed relatively authentic to what I had out there. Food itself was good, however the menu descriptions are poor and hard to gauge for someone not familiar with the cuisine, for example alot of Korean food is super spicy which was not elaborated in the menu and we found inedible. Staff were efficient but not friendly and were not conversant with the menu. We liked most of what we ate and would eat there again. It was a Tuesday night and place was dead, just us in there which gave it an odd vibe.

Lovely restaurant with courteous service. Asked if I would be OK with chopsticks, instead of assuming I wouldn’t. Seemed to be quite a few regular customers. Very friendly atmosphere. Seafood Udon was delicious but beware the chilli. Fabulous fresh vegetables. This was my first time eating Korean food that wasn’t battered takeaway, & it was great!

Thought we try it out. Got seated then waited nearly 10 mins for someone to come and engage with us. Waitress did bare minimum to make us feel welcome and we had to ask to order drinks. Place was freezing so we had to keep our jackets on the whole time. Food was okay but made to feel unwelcome. Won't be going back.

I’ve been playing in Scotland for N days, and my Chinese stomach can’t stand it anymore... I passed by Aberdeen, and the only option I chose was that the other one only opened on Wednesday. Went there decisively, I really like the rich menu choices! The char siu in the ramen is delicious, and the fried egg in the bibimbap is also amazing! The food is delicious and delicious, and the owner is from Malaysia...super nice! recommend! There are several parking spaces across the road!

We visited seoul to celebrate me and a friend's joint birthday and the service was amazing, everyone was supper sweet, the food was amazing with a lot of options including vegeterian and other diatry requirements, you can tell everyone went the extra mile including singing happy birthday to slices of cake with candles and ice cream without request, I would 100% recommend as we all had a blast, thank you so much! We will definitely be back!

Made a booking online ( they use the Open Table app) for 1.30 for 7 people. It was a birthday celebration. When we were seated we were told that the kitchen closed at 2 and the restaurant would be locked up by 2.30. The website states the restaurant is open “ 7 days a week. 12 noon to 10pm” and there was nothing on Open Table advising that we would need to be done in an hour! The staff were fairly unrepentant and I was taken outside to see the different opening hours at the front entrance. Absolutely zero use if you are booking online. We had no choice but to leave. Really very disappointing experience

The food is great but the menu could be clearer about what's vegetarian and what isn't.

The food is overpriced for its poor quality. Even if it was half the price it would not be worth the money. Taste is completely inauthentic and flavorless. It is an absolute travesty that there no better Korean bbq options in aberdeen. From a Korean living in Aberdeen.

The staff are amazing. We were thoroughly spoiled by Danny and Bethany. The decor is beautiful and looking forward to going back when it is all lit up. Our meal was delicious and lots to tempt you. Want to try sake next time too. Lovely restaurant and people.

Poor experience. Food below mediocre, not fresh and very bland. Service pretty dire, we waited more than 20 minutes for a cola, had to ask again before it eventually arrived. Staff hanging out and not looking after guests. Restaurant isn't particularly clean and table and menu sticky. Would not recommend.

We visited this authentic Korean restaurant on a weekend, which was pretty much occupied; no booking was needed. We tried their rice with Mixed Tempura, 2 Pieces of King Prawn, and 5 Pieces of Vegetable. The quantity was so huge for us. They also tried their cocktails, which were excellent. Additionally, we tried the kimchi, which was really enjoyable. The ramen was so good and filling.

Been once before and they got our order completely wrong, went back today because I was craving sushi and they do not have any sushi , no rice and no noodles this week , they don’t tell you over the phone or when making a booking so don’t go and be disappointed like we were , now have to find somewhere else to go , let very disappointed

Pretty good Japanese and Korean fusion restaurant off Union Street. Decent sushi rolls, bibimbap, and other varieties on a wide menu. Ok for gluten free though they have run out of gluten free soya sauce before! Service is generally good but they can get busy.

The food and service were both exceptional. The young lady that served our table was really great at her job, very polite and punctual with a really genuine manner. The only reason I didn't give five stars is the service charge of 10% doesn't actually go to the service staff. We asked to leave a tip by card and asked to make sure the service staff including the lady that served us got the tips and she said if paid by card they don't get them. I believe they should. The owners of this business should be exceptionally proud of the staff, they are doing a great job and should be rewarded for it when tips are given by customers.

Never disappoints, friends came to visit so took them here. Everyone praised the food and service .

Best Korean restaurant in Scotland. Delicious, friendly staff.

Very poor experience The sizzling beef didn’t sizzle and was pretty grey. The staff hardly spoke any English and were not great. The soft shell crab tempura was a joke, they served us tempura vegetables. When we asked why it wasn’t crab they took It away and we were still charged. We were asked to be quiet when we tried to complain. The sushi looked like it had been sitting out all day. The plum wine was nuclear hot and not just warm. We won’t be back. I usually photograph meals but this wasn’t worth taking a picture of. Very disappointing and nothing authentic about it having travelled to Japan.

Overall okay food and atmosphere. However you name the dishes you want with numbers and they messed up my order , I didn’t touch the incorrect dish but was still made to pay full price for it.

Ramen was okay and quit big portion.

Visited here for the first time with my Korean husband as we were travelling up from London. We were craving Korean food really bad so we decided to come here but it was overall a horrible experience. Nothing like Korean food, the food was clearly cheap quality and there was paper that went over our grill for bbq… this is not normal, not even in London. I believe this is to save them from doing dishes but it leaves a plastic scent in the meat which we were sensitive to. Will not be coming back here. We have been told there are better places in Aberdeen for korean food. Would not recommend, super disappointing.

This was easily the best meal I’ve had in ages! My husband and I chose to celebrate our anniversary here and we felt so valued and appreciated. The service was above and beyond and I was blown away. I honestly could not have asked for a better meal or evening and will 100% be back. The food was SO fresh and flavourful and I am excited to try more of it. My only wish is that they sold their kimchi in massive to go quantities 😆

Was looking forward to this meal. But when I sat down and wait 30mins and not 1 staff to ask about my order. Heck didn't even offer a drink at all. They did eventually ask if we ready to order as soon we put our jacket on to walk out. 30 mins waiting with no staff ridiculous.

My food was served extremely late, to the point where it was abnormal. This happened because my friend's order, which was placed at the same time, arrived almost 20 minutes earlier. The staff walked past without paying any attention to my table. 👎👎I asking a tall girl with a round face ,😨 but she was standing there picking her nose, I am asking 😰😰She scowled at me loudly.😢 My food still not coming and I see she didn’t check my food 😒😒I waited for another 10 minutes and my food not come my friend have to ask for me again!! This is the second time!!My suggestion is that they should provide better service. I won’t go back again and and I will tell my friends not to go back. Probably the worst Korean BBQ meal that I have ever had. Pretentious bbq set meals are over-priced and lacking condiments and taste. The staff were mainly Mandarin-speaking Chinese with the exception of one young man who sounded like a local Scotsman. The pickled cabbage (kimchi) and cucumbers tasted like the vegetables had only been dipped into the pickle sauce that day and lacked a lot of taste. The miso soup was flavourless and should have been a clear radish soup. Missing were bean sprouts, crispy fried anchovies (?), pickled radish, strips of omelette and a couple of others that I forget. The meat didn't look well marinated and the larger pieces needed cutting, something other restaurants offer to do for you. The hot plate needed to be covered with a sheet of grease proof paper (?) which I presume is to make their job of cleaning easier. Does nothing for the taste. The pork belly was too fatty. A better cut was preferred by all. We ordered bibimbap from the "hot pot" menu. When we queried this we were told they don't do hot pot. The dish was served in a stone or metal bowl but hadn't been cooked long enough to get the rice to burn around the base. The accompanying sauce was like a poor substitute for tomato ketchup and not the expected spicy Korean chilli sauce. The best part of the whole meal was the teriyaki sauce on the chicken. I was so looking forward to this evening but it was spoiled and I fear that others may eat here and think this is the standard for Korean BBQs.

Came here Saturday evening, the food was fantastic, quick service and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Will 100% return again.

Had a great evening here. The prawn tempura sushi was especially delicious. The staff were lovely and even went out of their way to make the evening special for a member of our party’s 30th birthday.

This is not how u cut sashimi. The pieces are all uneven. I tried some of the maki - was such poor quality and they call themselves "authentic". DO NOT recommend

Service is great but the food is just ok. The Korean menu is better that the Japanese, for sure. The sushi is unfortunately better at chains like itsu than it is here. The bibimbap was very tasty, although a bit more pork would have been welcome. The place tends to be quite noisy and the smoke from the Korean barbecue sticks with you. Been twice now but not sure if I will return.

My sisters and i visited for our first time at a korean/Japanese restaurant, I'm so glad we picked here, it was such a wonderful experience! The service was impeccable, the staff we're so helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Food was amazing and everything so fresh. I can't wait to go back again.

One of my favourite places to eat in Aberdeen, so glad to have a good Korean restaurant in Aberdeen. Food and service has always been excellent, highly recommended. Menu is mix of Japanese and Korean favorites.

Missing my mother's cooking, I ordered the ox tail soup and kimchi and it tasted just like being back home. With enough busniess i hope they can start serving Korean alcohol one day.

Staff were attentive and friendly. We had maki for lunch the children loved them. Not particularly keen on vegetables ramen.
