Wagamama in Aberdeen City

My family and I came here while visiting the UK from America. First I will say, I hope you go during the week because the weekend there was a line out the door for this place and the food is decent, but definitely not worth waiting in line for. There were three of us and I was the only one whom enjoyed their meal. I did have to add a significant amount of soy and hot sauce though. The other two didn't even finish half their meals as they found them to be completely bland and flavorless. All -in-all it seemed trendy and all but the food was certainly not worth writing home about

Clean restaurant with a lot of condiments to add to your food. Amazing and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend if you are in Aberdeen.

Went there with my 1 year old and he is a bit of a messy eater. I started cleaning up after him but the staff was so polite and insisted that they did not mind cleaning up after him. Food was fantastic!

The food that I personally ordered I really enjoyed, the food that the person I was with didn’t as much but I think it’s due to personal tastes. The food arrived hot and nicely served. The service was lovely by the lady that was in charge of the area we sat in. The worker that sat us down not so much as he gave unpleasant not so friendly vibes but I suppose things do happen. The atmosphere was very nice. Probably will be coming back as I did enjoy the food very much.

Great place - tofu Ramen with miso soup - favourite dish, I also get a raw Juice. Edamame beans and enjoy this restaurant. Nice friendly atmosphere. Would recommend and use again, especially as they accommodate my disability with a comfortable seat. Thank you

I ordered on Deliveroo for the second time this week as I working away from home & I know what I like at Wagamama. To my surprise, a couple bites into my Donburri I felt a scratching sensation in my mouth. I spat out the food in my mouth immediately into a paper towel and pressed my finger along the roof of my mouth, to find that it had been cut and was bleeding over my finger. Unfortunately I can’t find what cut my mouth and I fear I may have swallowed it. The worst experience I’ve ever had ordering food.

Fantastic service, Zoltan gave a great service with good recommendations. Can’t fault the food quality or the service. Barbecue beef bao buns with sriracha mayo are amazing ❤️

Did not like seats. Service was slow. My meal arrived first and I was finished before my wife's arrived. Table near us was same . Food was ok but not that tasty . Will not be visiting this particular wagamama again .

Me and my partner visited Wagamama on a quiet Monday evening, expecting a smooth dining experience. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were ignored by the staff for a full 30 minutes—no one came to take our order. We tried to get someone’s attention, but it felt like we were invisible. After half an hour of waiting without any service, we finally gave up and left, having wasted our time and appetite. It’s frustrating to be treated this way, especially when the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for

Had a lovely time today. Tried out some stuff from the new menu and was fantastic. Highly recommend the shiitake otsummai and the saku saku soba. Exquisite! This was made all the better by my server Zoltan. He was very attentive and knowledgeable. Great person to encounter! Will definitely go back :)

Enjoyed the fillet beef on crispy rice variation on sushi as a side. Firecracker chicken curry was deliciously spicy, well paired with a Lucky Buddha beer. Beef salad had good flavour but could have been more tender. Kids loved their chicken noodles and chicken katsu, especially trying the junior chopsticks. Very friendly service.

Authentic japanese fusion. Was surprised that the firecracker prawn dish was properly spicy so that gets a tick from me. Bang bang cauliflower was good too. Thai beef salad was well balanced. As a Singaporean who is particular about food, this would satisfy any asian food cravings although it would be more of a occasional indulgence at the price point.

Excellent food and friendly attentive service. First time there and waiter took time to explain the dishes on the menu and, as I’m a curry wimp, pointed out the dishes that could be altered to suit.

Amazing experience. Our waiter was really cool can’t remember his name sadly, food was great, food arrived in no time, I 100% recommend eating here if you are looking for Asian food. Prices are in the higher range but it is worth it.

If you want to eat Japanese authentic food I think that’s the place you should go. I very much enjoy all their soups.

Very extensive menu. I had the tofu ramen with egg. The no-jito was also a nice refreshing drink.

Theyve upped their game with the Gluten Free offering. Having been to a couple of Wagamamas in the past and feeling the GF menu was very limited, I'm pleased to advise the gluten free menu now has plenty of choice, for all three courses. Plus they have 2 different GF beers to choose from. Service is excellent, they take cross contamination very seriously. Also, the flavours are incredible. Wagamamas is back on my list of places to frequent.

I've visited many wagamamas including Aberdeen on two separate occasions and everything is exactly as you would expect from wagamamas. The front of house staff and the kitchen staff are super professional and efficient and it's always a great atmosphere. On top of that the food is always delicious. The katsu seemed slightly milder than usual, however there is now an option to add extra heat so I suppose I should have chosen that!

The food was very tasty and the service was great. We found the selection of dishes on the menu varied and it was not the standard that you usually get at Asian restaurants. What wasn't so nice was that it was very loud and there was little space at the table. You didn't even know what to do with the jacket. Raised in price.

I have extremely high spice tolerance. I drink tobasco like it is water. I snort chilli powder. No restaurant has been able to match my freak. Until I went to wagamamas. Wagamama’s spice left me shaking, crying, in bliss and heaven. Thankyou Wagamamas for giving me the feeling of spice I’ve never felt #freaky

Food wise this chain has some of my favourite dishes sometimes they have changed up some dishes and added more spice which can ruin it, and some things like the Donburi which just are bland. My issue is rarely with the food but every single time we go the staff just ruin the entire experience. When you come in you get greeted by someone who will be nice and friendly saying I’ll be your server. Then you will never see them again. Another comes over with the food, and then once again you never get spoken to again. Few times I had to ask for a second drink it never came until I had to walk over to ask someone to check. Because no one will check in. I was charged just no one bothered to put them out. We went again recently we sat longer waiting for someone to give us the bill once our table was empty than we did eating. I shouldn’t have to go over to get someone. No one on 3 separate times has been attentive but I can see the “first” waiter to greet themselves chatting away with 3 others at the front. They never look so you can’t make eye contact to get any help.. Quick to get you in but failure to keep up the service once you have made the order. The restaurant had a lovely make over I want to go because of the amazing service not the decor… work on this please. Or I’ll have to just get take out to avoid the experience. Which is a shame. Used to be one of my favourite places. But now a-days when people are paying alot more than they used to they expect a lovely experience or else I’d may as well stay at home.

We came to Wagamama today with a bunch of friends, and one of my friend had an allergy and one of your managers. Naga was very considerate and made sure she gives us every possible option so he could eat. Also she gave us gave us a drink on the house and her service and the way she spoken and conducted herself was simply amazing. We are definitely coming back

Good food done promptly before going to cinema

Absolutely enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Manager Naga was extremely helpful with the menu for picking vegetarian choices for my elderly mum. Food was delicious with good portion and quick service. Would recommend for a family meal or hanging out with friends.

Starting off with a sip of their Pinacolada, I was met with unexpected bitterness that overshadowed any hint of sweetness. While I anticipated a tropical delight, the cocktail fell short, leaving me yearning for the familiar taste of a classic Pinacolada. Unfortunately, this rendition missed the mark, leaving a bitter taste lingering on my palate. Moving on to the main course, I opted for the Beef Brisket Ramen, and I must say, it was a highlight of the meal. The bowl arrived brimming with steaming broth and tender beef brisket, creating a symphony of flavors with each spoonful. The broth was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of depth to complement the hearty chunks of beef. Despite the generous portion of soup, it never felt overwhelming, allowing the flavors to shine through. This dish was a true testament to the artistry of ramen-making and left me thoroughly satisfied. Next up were the chicken starters, and they did not disappoint. The chicken was tender and succulent, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Each bite was a burst of flavor, with just the right balance of spices and herbs. Their service was excellent, clearing the tables in a very timely manner and ensuring that cutlery was served properly to the customers. I would definitely recommend it!

My favourite place for sushi... Every time I take the train from there I should have a meal there ..

First time in wagamama, ever.. food was good - can remove spice/chilli oil if needed which was good. Service was good and staff were polite. Went around 4pm for an early dinner so not much atmosphere- was quiet at the time. An overall good, but expensive experience!

Delicious katsu curry. The QR code failed though meaning a chase of a staff member for a bill and being treated like I'm an idiot who can't scan a QR code. Decent vibe, nice and lively, good buzz to the place, we didn't have to wait long to sit which was good.

Visited Wagamama in Union Square late afternoon 4th January 2023. I planned to try something new but couldn't help myself and ordered my favourite - Chilli Chicken Ramen. Luckily, my wife and two kids ordered different things so we all got trying something new. For fussy eaters, I'm astonished how much the kids look forward to eating at this place, even when it's a little spicy. Helpings are generous and invariably, we end up with a very decent doggy-bag. No draught beer was the only thing i found disappointing. Staff were lovely and food always arrives surprisingly quickly. I think it's great value for good and healthy food. The novelty of chop sticks adds to making the experience that little bit more special.

A restaurant run by a corporation can be a hit or miss. wagamama delivered! The service was very amicable, super fast, and the food was delicious. I would get back to their locations again.

This used to be my favourite restaurant in Union Square and I was keen to see the changes. Very disappointed in the venue now. Very open and not a cosy feel to the place. I got the impression that the staff were not exactly welcoming. I could see the place wasn't busy but yet there was at least one table of people waiting, then we had to wait a good while despite seeing plenty staff on and vacant tables. Once our order was taken the food was OK, the kids meals were cold and they kept telling me the noodles tasted like pancakes! The place has definitely taken a down turn with the renovation. The waiter, whom I think was head waiter decided to clear his nose whilst standing waiting for me to tap and pay! And there was no rapport there at all. So much for the customer coming first! Really disappointing.

Popped into the newly refurbished and expanded Wagamama tonight. Can see why it needed to expand. The service was outstanding and the food is to die for. The ambience and look of the place is gorgeous and the food matches this. I went for the Pulled Pork Gyoza which was incredible. Had the classic Chicken Katsu Curry as my main. Can see why it's such a staple. Amazing. To finish I had the Banana Katsu which I defo recommend. I was blown away. A great experience tonight in Union Square :)

First time back to wagamama since it reopened. A nice fresh face lift with more booths and space on other tables. I tried the new korean inspired broth hot pot and It was delicious. The sides were also nicely cooked and served quickly. The food comes out as and when it's ready in no particular order, so just dig in and enjoy when you get your food, don't wait for everyone else's food to arrive. Gents toilets are still on the small side despite an interior re design. Our server was superb, friendly and efficient. In fact, every member of staff we interacted with was great.

I was so excited to try this place. Food was very bland and service very slow. Asked for starters along with mains but starters for the two people who asked for served first. Then the mains got served one at a time. My brother first then a few minutes later my husband. Myself and my kids waited for 8 minutes then my eldest came then my youngest was an extra 4 minutes and mine came 5 minutes later.

Been here so many times over the last few years- food and service is always great. Staff are friendly and attentive and the meals are always great quality and come out super quick. Definitely the best place in Union Square to eat!

Anyway the coffee machine was off. I had the delightful white chocolate and ginger cheese cake and gin cocktail. Thank you to the polite staff member who served and was of service.

Recommended ramen was just okay. broth wasjust okay. Pork belly was 👍🏻 But overall ramen dish was ... just okay

Always great to visit a Wagamamas from time to time! The food was above satisfactory and is the same across all Waga restaurants! The service was great, prompt and with a smile! I didn't get the waitresses name but she made for a great visit!

Have to love a good Wagamama as they are all over the country. I'd recommend either the Katsu Curry or the Pad Thai. The one in Aberdeen is very close to the main train station so easy to access.

All dishes very tasty and appetizing. Very nicely presented. Also nice and competent service. The place is very popular, so you may have to wait in line for available table. I definitely recommend this place.

Salmon gyoza Chicken gyoza Grilled Chicken ramen There’s not much meat or fish in the gyozas but tasty nonetheless. One of my favourite restaurants that never fails to serve up delicious hearty healthy food ❤️

As always, delicious and fresh food. Wagamama is a favourite of mine because of its delicious menu, friendly and helpful staff, and simplicity. I am always greeted with a smile and shown to a table where We are always informed of any items off the menu and asked of any dietary requirements. The food here is always made fresh and delicious. Point to note, items you order are brought out when they are ready, this means that you may not be served your food in the order you expect or at the same time as your party members. I love this though, as it guarantees freshness. I am never disappointed when I visit here. An absolute pleasure as always.

I wanted to have some soup and ramen, so I thought why not Wagamama ramen. It’s so disappointing that when the ramen was delivered the noodles had soak up all the soup 😭😔not gonna lie it was abit disappointing. I would recommend Wagamama to pack the noodles and the soup separately in the future to enhance the delivery/takeout dining experience. For now, we won’t be ordering anything online from Wagamama anymore.

Wir bestellten verschiedene Vegane Speisen. Alle waren in Ordnung. Vegane Ramen gibt es leider nur mit Udon Nudeln. Service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Amazing food as always and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Kudos to the staff member that gave me a crash course on how to use chopsticks properly, saved me some embarrassment and ramen stains down my shirt.

Brilliant food and the waiters were willing to explain everything that I didn’t understand, and the noodle price is worth it they gyoaza has a lot of noodle and my friend could barely finish it.
