A lovely cafe in Lionel. Excellent home made soup and a great selection of home bakes,scones and cakes. A good selection of filled rolls and a varied slection for all day breakfasts .It is small but staff very friendly. There is a super wood burning stove.Some nice souvenirs for sale as well. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

We stopped off at the deli while we were staying in Gatehouse. We visit every year and have often driven past wondering what it was like. We finally paid a visit and were not disappointed. A warm,friendly welcome and delicious food made to order. We’ll definitely be back when we visit in the Summer!

Gran comida y ambiente. Solo tenía un panini para el almuerzo, pero era genial. Coleslaw estaba delicioso. El menú de la cena se ve muy bien también.

Called as a pitstop on a tour. OMG fabulous coffee and the bakes were amazing. Spoilt for choice as everything looked fantastic and a great view of Eilean Donna!

We met friends for brunch there this weekend. The cafe is very welcoming and the staff extremely friendly. The menu/specials sounded so exciting that we ordered 5 dishes between 4 of us - Brisket chilli with cauliflower rice, Prawn with avocado on a milk bun, and Huevos Rancheros. All of the dishes were absolutely fantastic and unusual. The coffee is also extremely good. We will definitely be back (and will no doubt become regulars!)

Went for Christmas Lunch which was absolutely delicious. Everything cooked to perfection. Their Christmas pudding was the best I have ever tasted. Fantastic experience.

I really can’t say enough wonderful things about Amy’s Place, Alison & Mark and such wonderful people who go over and above for their customers, if it’s just cake you want after exploring the beautiful countryside or sandwiches, soup or one of the other very tasty treats on offer you can’t go wrong Alison very kindly made me a sugar free pudding when Finding out we were coming to stay for a week nearby and she make all the cakes herself and Mark makes a wonderful coffee or drink of your choosing, I really love all the locally sourced treasures that they sell too and find multiple things to take home with us. Mark & Alison also raised over £1800 for MacMillan cancer support charity this year when Alison cut off all her hair, well done Alison you’re amazing. So please stop by and enjoy a tasty treat a drink and two wonderful human beings who run this local business and welcome everyone the same was with a smile and infectious enthusiasm. I can’t wait to visit again.

Having been in Brechin with my young son for a football match, we were struggling to find somewhere suitable to eat. Our hotel refused to open their kitchen as it wasn’t busy, so we had to go out and look for somewhere. We found the Auld Bakehouse just by wandering around. We asked if they had a table and they gave us the last one up by the stairs. We both had steak pie, chips and veggies. The food was lovely, and the portions generous. Only out done by the wonderful service. Next time I am in Brechin this will be my first choice, super experience. Very grateful that they let us squeeze in. I believe the place is BYOB but being with my wee boy I wasn’t drinking. Coffee was lovely!

We always visit Portmahomack on our annual holiday in the Highlands and have enjoyed several visits to the cafe. We found out last year that the cafe had changed hands and have visited again this year. Friendly staff and excellent food so still deserving of 5 stars.

I was so impressed with this little coffee house. Not only is the coffee great and the cakes delicious, the ambience is both cosy and friendly, and they remembered my name from one visit to the next. I wouldn’t go to Cromarty without going back again.

A great wee find. Me and my husband both had steak paninis and they were amazing! Great sized portion and side of chips were lovely too! They were busy but the chefs obviously were working hard as there wasn’t a long wait for food. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will be back.

We came across Robin's Nest by chance and were greeted in a warm friendly manner. I am on a Dairy Free Diet and the menu catered for all my needs. When we ordered coffee we were given an alternative choice of milks. The cakes were home made and delicious. I would highly. recommend this tea room

Estaba tan emocionada de probar este lugar, pero cuando entramos en la tienda las vibras estaban tan fuera. Había unas cuantas mesas ocupadas, pero todos hablaban tan bajo que era como estar en una biblioteca. Ambiente muy extraño y no como cualquier cafetería / cafetería en el extremo oeste, donde se esperaría una charla animada o ruido de fondo. Solo hay unas 4 mesas y están justo al lado de la caja, por lo que no hay mucho espacio entre las mesas y los clientes que hacen cola para comprar cosas. La tienda es muy pequeña. ¿Quizás por eso todos estaban tan callados? Parecía incómodo. La gente detrás de la caja parecía miserable. Fui recibido con un saludo a medias, pero no había ninguna interacción y el personal simplemente carecía de amabilidad y entusiasmo. Estaba decidiendo cuál de los pasteles probar y por lo general en otros lugares el personal habla de cada uno de los pasteles y los sabores, etc, pero era tumbleweed detrás del mostrador. Tampoco había nada que hacer, así que no era como si estuviera tomando tiempo. Me alegro de no haber reservado el té de la tarde porque me habría sentido tan incómodo en este entorno y no creo que recomendaría sentarme en base a mi experiencia. Los pasteles por otro lado fueron excepcionales. Desde la presentación hasta el sabor y pensé que los precios eran justos para la calidad del producto. Recomendaría absolutamente una comida para llevar desde aquí, pero sinceramente creo que se necesita capacitación del personal para el servicio al cliente y el lugar carece de ambiente.

Love the refurb they have done to the shop and also the outside seating area. Owners are always looking at ways to update and keep up to date with speed off service. Pre covid you waited in the cafe however the set up now order in shop and then your number is called is so quick. I was well impressed. I travel from Inverness but always stop , so many places need to take a leaf out off the couple who run this and step up their game . A gold mine . Well done

The food was brilliant, lovely atmosphere and very personalised service. My Mum said it was the best potato and leek soup she's ever had. Will definitely be back for cocktails and more food!
