Strolled round from our cottage for breakfast and what a treat . Delicious full breakfast and home cooked beans which made a welcome change . Lovely service . Everything on the plate was tasty and great quality . My dog even had a doggy ice-cream. Hope to go tomorrow as well . Friendly laid back little venue with a magnificent harbour view .

A fantastic place! A quaint cafe in an idyllic location. Delicious food and great service! A good choice of food, reasonably priced and dog friendly which is a bonus in my opinion with an option to buy doggy ice cream. All of the staff were efficient and very friendly. Can’t wait to go back again, we used to stop off years ago when visiting Dunure and it wasn’t very inviting however now you receive a welcome second to none. We wish the owners and staff all the best for the future.

We visited Dunure whilst on holiday and ate lunch at the Harbourside cafe. The sandwiches, ham salad and ‘real’ chips were all freshly made with delicious ingredients. The coleslaw was creamy and crunchy and the ham just the right side of salty. Due to generous portions, we had no room for dessert so we took the cake home for later and we were not disappointed. The cafe has a friendly and welcoming environment with excellent service and helpful staff.

A lovely wee cafe that we visited twice for breakfast during our stay nearby. The staff are very welcoming and it was good to see the locals also enjoy coming here as we saw the same people in on both visits. The breakfast choice is good and freshly cooked and served with a smile. Really worth a visit if you're in the area, as I say it's relatively small and all the better for it in my opinion so recommend getting down early as on both our visits it filled up pretty quickly, always a good sign.

What a lovely cafe and we were so pleased we walked down from the castle to go and have lunch. We got a very friendly welcome and our dog was offered a treat. Food and coffee delicious and is reasonably priced. As we were full we took a piece of the coffee cake to eat later and this was equally delicious. If you are visiting Dunure you must call in here.

We've had the best sensory experience at The Harbourside Café in Dunure, South Ayrshire. The magic starts with the natural setting it is nested in: Wonderful little harbour tucked away in a scenery where one feels lost in some folklore tale involving gentle mermaids singing to the friendly locals. Entering the Café, situated at the foot of the pier stretching out towards the sea, we could not help but feel hugged by the cosy and warm haven of tasteful decor and smells of coffee and sweets. We were welcomed by the cordial and attentive owners, Chef Robbo, his partner Lucy and their young son Benjamin, making us immediately feel at home and excited to taste their creations. The menu was comprehensive in its offering comfort breakfast classics, but promising of special personal twists and fresh local produce, at very reasonable price; especially considering it would turn out to be the best breakfast we've had in all our travels! The poached Hollandaise and French bread were heaven on a plate, and although the portions were very generous, we could not resist buying cakes to take away with us, as they looked as heavenly as the meals on the menu (and they were!). Our experience made us feel as if we were part of this folklore tale indeed, thus we will be back to eat at "our friends' table" again and we thoroughly advise you come along as well!

It was cosy and full so we bought our soup to go and sat at one of the 3 tables in the harbour opposite. The cafe is accessible to wheel chairs and there is limited free parking opposite, but much more up the hill where you have to pay. There is a tiny, clean toilet at the back of the cafe. Very picturesque café by the harbour in Dunure. Friendly and polite staff, very efficient service. You could definitely tell that everything on offer was homemade, excellent quality. Would certainly return when in the area again.

My Husband and myself visited recently. We had a lovely light lunch of soup, toasted sandwich, and scone with tea. Everything was delious. The cafe was spotless, and the staff were very pleasant.

Visited recently with friends for lunch. Lovely home made soup. Other snacks and light meals available as well as a good selection of cakes and tray bakes. Not a lot of space so if it's busy you might have to wait for a table.

In a very scenic spot, it's dog friendly with friendly staff, but the food is average, however well worth going for the little harbour.

We had lunch here on a Friday afternoon after a little explore of the beautiful bay that the café sits in. Basic food but the quiche was really nice and you can't really go wrong with a jacket potato and a cheese and ham toastie. It was busy and the service took a while but it was full and there was only one person taking orders and one in the kitchen it appeared so no real surprise. It was nice because we could take the dog in with us which is rare to find.

It was a quick pit stop, driving from Culzean to Hamilton via the coastal roads. The sandwiches - egg mayo plus a cheese salad - were freshly made from the freshest ingredients and were really very, very nice.

We have visited the Harbour View a few times. It’s of no pretentiousness , just simple good food served with a smile. The sausage piece is iconic.

A small cafe on the Harbour front of Dunure with a good selection available on the menu from fish and chips to macaroni and the usual other items offered. The cake selection is quite amazing for such a small place.

What a great find: a good value, good food, good service wee place. Homemade soup was delicious, scones were huge, the place was packed at lunchtime and I will go nowhere else when I'm back in Prestwick. Well done.

The café has a really warm and welcoming environment. The staff leave you to it but are very friendly and personable if you need any help. My boyfriend and I went here for just a couple of hours whilst we were on our holiday but we wish we could go more often as it was such a lovely place - it felt like they had their own little community. Big thanks to the staff and we hope that your business is thriving. We also managed to pick up a great game - Wildlands - which we had great fun playing that evening (would recommend).

Always great to stop by and grab a cappuccino and, if a little on the more expensive side, it certainly beats the big coffee chains! Highly recommended.

We visited yesterday and was very disappointed with food. We ordered fish & chips what we got was 4 fish goujons and frozen chips with salad which was mostly packet lettuce 1 pint orange juice halfpint shandy and 1 mocha. Price £49 00. Not worth the money
