On a miserable day in Ayr, my friend and I popped in for a bowl of soup. Lovely warm welcome and great service. We both had pea and ham soup with fresh bread and then both of us had baked potatoes (one with tuna mayonnaise and one with coronation chicken) .... these were served with side salad and creamy coleslaw. We finished off with coffee. Tasty, fresh food at reasonable prices, what's not to like? Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

We came across this basic looking, bright wee cafe where the food was delicious and the atmosphere was friendly. The cafe had bright vintage tea cups, tea pots and coffee sets on display. ( I had my eye on a wee tea cup but, alas, it was not for sale.) We had delicious home made soup with tasty thick sandwiches and toasties, just what we needed to fill us up! The pièce de resistance aka the loo (I like a good toilet) had the same vintage era going on with an old wooden door, a big old bolt to lock it and a beautiful old stone floor all looked to be original fixtures with an old hot water geyser to top it all off. Perfect! PS the parisien prints in the loaby were also a nice touch.

Ran into Wee Josie's after being soaked in a rain shower as we walked into Ayr early on a Monday morning. We were only people sitting down at a table, bar 1 other when we arrived but were soon followed by several others & also a few takeaway customers. We noticed there were morning 'specials' on the menu & prices were very reasonable. We ordered full cooked breakfasts with coffee & toast - just £5 each. All arrived quickly & were hot & tasty. Sausage, bacon, black pudding & eggs all tasted really fresh & really good quality. My partner is a black pudding connoisseur & said it was one of the best he'd ever had. Toast was really good, thickly sliced bread & coffee was strong & richly flavoured. As we ate the proprietor was putting out scones which looked homemade & very tempting. Would definitely visit again if in Ayr.

Found Wee Josie's when looking for somewhere to have a decent breakfast. We found the service great, nice and quick to get our breakfast and wonderful coffee out to us. Been visiting nearly weekly since and he has my order memorised already. Food is freshly cooked to order. The chat is also great. My children were welcomed and they were fussed over, which they loved. So glad we found this wee gem at the bottom of town.

The café has a really warm and welcoming environment. The staff leave you to it but are very friendly and personable if you need any help. My boyfriend and I went here for just a couple of hours whilst we were on our holiday but we wish we could go more often as it was such a lovely place - it felt like they had their own little community. Big thanks to the staff and we hope that your business is thriving. We also managed to pick up a great game - Wildlands - which we had great fun playing that evening (would recommend).
