We cannot thank the team at the National Piping Centre enough for making our wedding weekend absolutely perfect! From start to finish, everything went off without a hitch, allowing us to feel completely relaxed and enjoy every moment of our special day.
The venue looked stunning, the food was out of this world, and the care and attention we received throughout the weekend were second to none. It truly was the best day of our lives, and we owe it all to the tireless efforts of Emily, Natalie, and the entire team who went above and beyond to make everything so perfect.

Never been here before and I thought overall it was pretty good. I've been lucky to have eaten a lot of Tapas style food in Spain over the years and having recently eaten at Rioja also in Glasgow I was tempering my enthusiasm (Rioja is very good)So Friday night, not that busy but food was good. I'm not that keen on Paprika and I found that to be used a fair bit, beef quality could have been better. However wine was fantastic, and price I'm not kidding was half that of Rioja3* Average is maybe a bit harsh, I would go back and for £15 a head for food the value cannot be beaten.
I loved their bakes goods and have been there twice. However, I'm not Asian and although I love the food. They make me feel unwelcome. Literally I'll open the door and there's not even a greeting or even a smile on their face. But as soon as another Asian gets through the door they get chatty, just because of that I don't feel comfortable going there again as I found a big Asian Supermarket that makes me feel welcomed.
It's sad, as they are a small business, but I can't be buying from a shop that makes me feel uncomfortable

Great table service, lamb couscous felt over priced (20 quid) for two skewers of lamb, asked for it medium and it came overcooked - drinks order was also wrong asked for a cider and got beer.
Decent but not in a rush to return
He cenado en Cebolla Roja un par de veces y esta fue mi mejor experiencia. Estaba aquí con mi marido y el entrante de vieiras estaba delicioso! Después de charlar sobre el entrante de pollo bang bang que había tenido un par de veces antes, Andrea trajo una pequeña muestra de él para que mi marido lo probara, que fue un toque encantador.
Tenía el pollo limón con salsa korma para mi principal. Fue hermoso, pero me decepcionó que en lugar del tzatziki que decía que vendría, era más cohete con un aderezo. Teníamos un montón de cohete con el arrancador de vieiras, así que estaba decepcionado con eso, sin embargo, el resto del plato era maravilloso. El vino era precioso también.

Host Shash was excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Very positive, friendly and approachable, made us feel very comfortable and tended to.
Fresh, delicious, mouth watering food and perfect portion sizes. Fast service, great atmosphere.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Glasgow and was impressed by its rich historical charm and excellent location—perfectly situated for exploring the city. The rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious, and tastefully modern, offering both comfort and style.
However, I was slightly disappointed by the level of service. For a 4-star property and part of the InterContinental Group, I expected a more attentive and polished experience from the staff. While the basics were covered, the overall hospitality lacked the warmth and proactivity you would typically associate with a hotel of this standard.
For example, we arrived without our luggage, which had been lost by the airline, and didn’t receive the level of care or attention one would hope for in such a situation. Despite informing the staff about our circumstances, no one checked in with us during our stay, nor did they offer essentials like a toothbrush or toothpaste. We went and bought everything.
In summary, the hotel is a solid choice for its atmosphere and room quality, but there’s room for improvement in the service department to truly match its reputation.
