Paid £69 itison voucher. Great service and food. The only thing I didn't really enjoy was the burger. Felt it was a bit dry but everything else was great

A beautiful spot to enjoy some company with friends. We have stopped by on may occasions for a "quick" cocktail and found ourselves staying until the end of the night. Lovely team who are super helpful and friendly.

Beautiful decor and great drinks selection. Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Kai one of the bartenders who made us feel very welcome and his cocktails were excellent.

Brilliant food amazing cocktails. The staff is so helpful. Happy to make sure your visit is memorable. Everything is what you expect and more . Can't fault it . This would have been my 7th time visiting the place from drinks ...lunch ...and dinner. Very comfortable and welcoming . Never had any complaints You tried the rest ...now try the best you won't regret it.

Fabulous atmosphere in this lively bar and restaurant. The bar is a great place to people watch. The restaurant is also lively with great wait staff. The food is delicious and well presented. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. We will certainly be back soon

Excellent meal with great service thanks

Often people will be hyperbolic about their reviews but honestly one of thee best places to eat in Glasgow. Expensive yes but you 100% worth every penny. Remember it is seafood.

I had scallops for starter and lobster frittes for main. I am not sure if I was just unlucky but my scallops weren't great and the lobster had hardly any meat. Another guest at the table was a bit luckier than me and had a meatier one.

Food was lovely but very disappointed with the customer service as my husband is disabled and needs a mobility scooter, I asked how we can get the scooter up the stairs at the entrance we were left to lift it ourselves . We are both in our sixties and husband is disabled and your staff just watched. It took a passenger by to help.

I can't comment on the food as I only had a pot of tea, but the tablet on the side was delicious, and the menu looked fabulous! The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the ambience was perfect. I will be back for dinner and cocktails for sure!

Service could have been better, we had vouchers that included a free cocktail, we requested different ones from the menu and weren't advised that they would be charged at full price, expected a surcharge for a different one not to be charged full price, we would have taken the menu ones as well

A very beautiful restaurant with excellent food, staff and atmosphere

The atmosphere is simply delightful, with the rare and charming touch of a live pianist adding a magical ambiance. It's not something you encounter often these days! The food is both delicious and reasonably priced, with the lobster being an absolute standout, a must-try for any seafood lover. And of course, the service deserves special mention. The staff provide a warm and welcoming reception, making the entire experience truly memorable. Highly recommended!

Welcome on arrival is very professional. Table beautifully set and orders taken quite quickly.

My friends and I regularly lunch in the Anchor Line, there is always such a friendly welcome and lovely comfortable atmosphere. Food is tasty and nicely presented with a good choice and the rose wine is delicious. Staff are super I would like to compliment in particular Marco and Rohit always so polite,friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them and all with a smile on their faces...so thank you.

Had lunch here over Christmas. An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! The place was stunning, the food was not only well presented but bursting with flavour, and the service was impeccable. The staff struck the perfect balance—attentive and warm without being intrusive. Truly, there isn’t a single thing I could fault. Simply lovely!

I brought my Mother in Law for her birthday and we had an incredible meal, I asked if there could be prosecco waiting and the staff wrote a little card as well which made it very special. The food was great and so was the wine. We got a lovely Pino and smoked chicken which was delightful. The staff were so accommodating and let us keep the table longer then gave us a table next to the bar. The staff really did make the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend it!

Enjoyed their Hogmanay Gala Ball and it was an excellent evening with amazing food, staff and dancing! Would fully recommend it!

We have been in to the Anchor line many times for drinks, this was the first time for food and we weren't dissapointed the service was excellent, there when you needed them but not stalking you at your table the food and drink was sublime as was the atmosphere , the price was about £170 for two starters, three mains a few bottles of wine and cocktails, probably woudnt spend that every week but definitely worth the money would highly recommend trying we will definitely be back, 🍻🍷👍

Ordered chateau briand, got sirloin. Ordered another meal and spent the night in the toilet. Worst dining experience ever

Had the festive menu this was an excellent choice and well cooked and presented. The waiter was excellent and attentive. However I settled the bill as I was treating guests. Then I was challenged had we paid and asked for a receipt. This was insulting and took the evening to a disappointment and a bitter taste. I talked to someone on way out who was management she was dismissive and continued looking at things not interested. Oh think it from our prospective she said. How rude you spoiled a good evening and a bitter taste can not recommend this place to anyone. One star as left with such a negative bitter taste left with my experience

Went here for a drink after getting off the train. Service was fantastic and really friendly. Olives were amazing

Great atmosphere however staff weren’t attentive. Sat at the bar for 15/20 minutes and didn’t get served so left without drinking. Saw another couple leave for the same reason.

Had a really lovely family Christmas meal at The Anchor Line. The Festive Menu was really nice and we all enjoyed each course we chose. Great festive decor and felt like a special Christmas lunch. The only thing that let it down was the volume of the live piano got a bit too loud later in the afternoon and it became difficult to hear each other at the table. It was my first visit and I’d definitely return as the quality of the food was excellent.

A great building with lots of history. When I asked about the building the manager informed me of its past and brought over a book detailing the history. A nice place to sit and priced reasonably.

Having travelled by Coach for 2hr 30mins, to meet lifelong friends I hadn’t seen since the last Funeral, I was more than disappointed with the Beef Stroganoff. There were 4 of us, 3 were having Stroganoff and I’d asked, ‘Could we have the Steak pink please?’ Imagine my surprise when She said, ‘We don’t cook to order, it’s all prepared together 😩!’ We still gave it a try, but it was a big mistake. Was absolutely incinerated! So much so it was dry and inedible and One couldn’t actually swallow it. Who would do that to FILET STEAK, it could have been any cut of Meat. Also the sauce was bland and didn’t resemble a Stroganoff Sauce at all. Ordinarily I would have said to the Waitress, but didn’t want to put a dampener on our re-union; the Waitress should have broached the subject, when She saw it wasn’t eaten 🤗! Would I go back, well I don’t like to be beaten and everything else went really well. The waiter was extremely amusing and very friendly. The Company was great. Of course, I was home 🤭! Nothing like the Glaswegians. I think I’d give it another go, but I would point out my previous disappointment.

Sad used to be great, now very average. Won't even call patrons a taxi....."not a service they provide" you and your kids can go stand in the rain.

This is a restaurant in central Glasgow with a unique and beautiful interior. It's not often that you can have a meal and listen to a real pianist play. We found the prices very reasonable.

Visited Glasgow to meet with friends at the Anchor Line for lunch. A greta venue, well located with excellent atmosphere, food, and customer service coordinated by the Maitre De.

Even though this was a itison voucher meal, and good money spent on it, what a poor choice of menu items, where we were seated and lack of choice for cocktails. I'm sad I went, the food was just ok, wine glasses were not taken away for most of the meal when neither my partner and I were drinking and they wouldn't let me choose another cocktail when the one that was offered looked horrible. No vegetarian option in some courses too, where we were seated was out the way and you could feel an obvious draft. If you are looking for people to come to your restaurant through itison, this is not how you sell yourself! I'll never go near this place again. Such a disappointment... Happy a tip was not left.

The best restaurant I've experienced and I've eaten at mechelin stared eateries. The atmosphere is beautiful with a live pianist. The staff go above and beyond with personal touches like helping with bags and remembering our names. It's all of the small things that add up. The food was cooked to perfection and they even catered for my vegan mum. Ten out of ten. We will be returning.

Nice ambience relaxed but for price not the best Lobster bisque ok prawn cocktail ok but the lamb rack no very thin no taste yes you serve raw for best lol but it had no taste and too fatty maybe cheap lamb rack tasted better in Malaysia NZ lamb takes some Beating Welsh yes but this did not have the substance And not happy they put service charge on booking first Yes they ask when present bill and to shame you when with guest If was alone I would have told them to stuff it My god had better at the old berni inns

The Anchor Line: A Stylish City Centre Gem We recently dropped into The Anchor Line for a couple of cocktails and were pleasantly surprised. The relaxed atmosphere was perfect for a casual drink, and the stylish decor added a touch of sophistication. While we didn't indulge in the food, the menu looked enticing, offering a range of delicious-looking dishes. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. While the drinks were on the pricier side, the quality and ambiance made it a worthwhile treat.

Was at the bar for drinks only. Very good draught beer and in a great atmosphere too.

Overall a very nice experience, all courses from the menu were well presented and tasty, very generous portion sizes, cheese board plentiful. Staff were happy to help and friendly, and not overbearing. Will definitely be returning.

Went to Anchorline for a date night and had a great time. I had the lobster bisque as a starter, which was sensational, and the chateaubriand to share. Our server Aparna was incredible and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend for a classy night 📸

Fantastic Sunday afternoon itison voucher first time visit. Great food well presented, lovely elegant decor and relaxing ambience. Waiting staff were a delight, so welcoming, attentive and professional. Piano man playing provided just the right level of background music that still allows for comfortable table conversation. A delightful dining experience all round.

Some people give mixed reviews, but we have been going to Anchor line for years and it just a lovely experience all round. The staff always welcome us back, our favourite cocktails though no longer on the menu are made for us and never have we had to complain about the food menu

Popped in to Anchor Line without a reservation for after work drinks and the lovely Thanish Kumar Venu was so attentive through out our visit. What an absolute asset to Anchor Line, so kind and friendly but still professional.

Stopped in for lunchtime cocktails. Both the cocktails and service were excellent. Would definitely recommend the Anchor Line.

We had booked this restaurant later on for a meal due to the weather conditions we arrived early. On entering spoke to the manager Marco quite happy to sit in one of the booths for meal no problem.Also while sitting their were were warmly welcomed in by the Area Manager Pippa. We decided on trying a different starter my wife had the Haggis Bon Bons which she said were terrific especially the sauce. Myself the King Prawn Cocktail again brilliant which had a nice bite to the dish. While we were relaxing we realised on our first venture into thus establishment will have been 10 years come next Month. On that point we would like to congratulate the Owners,Management and staff for the high standard this restaurant and bar have maintained.

Very nice place in heart of Glasgow City center. We were a big group (7) and happy they were able to assign a table to us as it was a busy Saturday evening. The service here is excellent and food is nice with a good menu spread. We tried the Scottish dishes and the Mallapally curry and they were nice. The atmosphere is vibrant and has a very nice vibe.

Excellent restaurant. Had the VIP menu which was excellent value for money. Served by very courteous and attentive staff. Beautifully appointed bar and restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Surrounding and food were fabulous but this restaurant is letting itself down on the new Post Covid policy of 2 hours . Service was a little too sharp … Attempting to remove glasses before last drop drunk. Table cleared as cutlery was put down. A gentle reminder that we still have 30 mins till the table is requisitioned The bill placed on the table without us asking for it . We really MUST stop this CORPORATE GREED. #NameShame&Complain folks!

Very nice restaurant Is really recommended, from the ambience to the food.

Do not be deceived by the gilded interior and smartly dressed staff. We ordered two chicken dishes, the smoked chicken and the summer chicken salad. Both were frankly inedible. Shards of chicken bone peppered both dishes and the sauces for both were truly disgusting. We were unable to eat them and left to find dinner elsewhere, would not recommend.

If I would give this establishment -5 stars I would. They resort to racism, citing “the law”. If you are a person of color.. avoid at all costs or you are likely to be kicked out of this place. And to think, this was AFTER tipping our server, Louis, 50% of our tab. Needless to say, we asked for it back.

Could lower the cost of their drinks £28 for a bottle of wine is a bit steep.

Lovely meal here, enjoyed the scallops followed by the red Thai mussels and frites. Good selection on the meal and staff helpful and friendly. Would return again. We were a party of 10 and everyone really enjoyed their meals.

Food was great but low scoring for cross contamination of gluten free meal . My wife is celiac and something in her meal contained gluten. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was impeccable. I was very disappointed that the company did not respond to my review,

A fantastic looking bar and restaurant, truly lovely venue. Nice atmosphere with the piano player. The service was first class. Nice friendly welcome & very attentive and helpful staff who came across knowledgeable. Drinks were fab also, a great list of wines and cocktails. Food was underwhelming. All a bit bland and average to he honest. I would return however maybe switch up what I get next time.

I came in here with my grandparents on graduation day, we booked very last minute but were accommodated with no issues. The food and service were top class. I opted for the Chicken Breast for my main and mussels to start. Both were incredible! The drinks were also fantastically presented and very nice! We’ll definitely be back in the future.

Beautiful way to spend Sunday lunchtime. Piano in background was lovely. Service was fabulous, very attentive and nice to feel looked after. Food great. However roast potatoes need to be crisper and gravy a bit more depth. Desserts whilst pricy are beautifully served. Coffee and tablet - such a nice touch. We will visit more frequently.

Great atmosphere with a live pianist. There was no seats available, to be expected mid afternoon on a Saturday.. we took a standing spot at the bar and enjoyed a couple of drinks. Mojito was great!
