The best restaurants in West Somerset South West

Pub was lovely however the holiday cottage was a shambles. Broken heating, curtain rails falling off and nearly killed my 83 year old Nan . They did fix it quickly but not recommended to stay.

We always enjoy visiting eating here. Today we took advantage of the great value for money lunchtime menu. As always the food and the service was first class. A lunchtime treat at a great price.🍴👌

This feels like a little secret tucked away down a country lane...when you arrive there is plenty of parking and it will feel a little like you are entering someone's back garden but it is clearly signposted and welcoming. Lots of outdoor seating, but we chose to order to take away as it was a bit chilly. You make your choice from the board, ring the bell, out comes the owner, they take cards which is helpful. He brought all the food out to the car for us which was so kind ( I'm not sure he'd manage to do that if it was a busier time, but a kind thing to do for us whilst it was quiet) The food was delicious..the scones were incredible, light as a feather. The sandwiches yummy, great bread, proper butter we chose ham and cheese the cheese was something else 😋 👌 All our drinks were nice and hot, good coffee too. Can't fault..please don't turn up expecting indoor seating and China teacups..this is very good quality food the menu is limited and an excellent cream tea all served in take away boxes, with plenty of seating in a nature filled garden (or to take away) very dog friendly too 🤩

It's a charming spot in Blue Anchor Bay with a welcoming and friendly staff. The decor adds character to the authentic tavern atmosphere. The menu offers classic pub fare, but I found the food a bit bland and the drinks slightly limited.

Booked for a party of 12 on a Sunday night. The staff made us really welcome when we arrived,and the food came out promptly. All 12 of us agreed that the food was delicious. Well done, we will certainly visit again when in the area.

I stayed for two nights in the Northfield hotel. My room was small but well equipped, with a comfortable bed and choice of two chairs. The ensuite was immaculately clean and the towels were more than adequate. A very decent buffet breakfast and choice of cooked food was on offer, served in a wood panelled dining room with views of the sea and beautiful gardens. These gardens were almost the best part of the stay; extending on different levels and beautifully maintained. I had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely book again if I were to return to Minehead.

Come here for me daughters birthday. The service was great and food was amazing. Would recommend this place

Wow, what can I say! From the warm welcome to the beautiful decor - all of the staff and their smiling faces. The menu was full and diverse, and then.. the food!! This curry was one of the best I've ever had. Fish masala and mushroom rice was absolute perfection. Really fantastic experience, don't miss out on this place if you're in Minehead! Thank you guys xxx

The food was great. Very well done. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was really good. Great change. Only up hill from here. Unfortunately no photos because as soon as the food hit the table it was gone 😂

Had a very pleasant valentine's evening here. The decor and table decorations were a nice touch. Lots of choices on the menu and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our only negative was that the temperature of the food was not that hot which was disappointing. But that aside it was a good experience.

Went here for just ice cream, got the salted caramel flavour and toffee and butterscotch which were both very nice. Staff were friendly although I was waiting a little longer than usual due to a trainee. Would recommend.

It's a fantastic Pub with superb food and an outstanding chef, well worth a visit!

This is now called Exmoor fish and chips. Very clean and well run, girls wearing hairnets. Very quick service. The Boss had small cod, cooked fresh which she pronounced excellent. I had pie also very good. Shed load of really good chips. All in all a good chippie. I recommend them.

Great if you’re in a budget! Food is great.. something for everyone! Verity of dessert and drinks!. But downside is everyone is everywhere as some people have no common sense 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣
