Called in for lunch on a very quiet Sunday as it seemed to be the only place open serving food. The staff were very friendly, helpful and chatty. There was a good choice of lite bites on the menu and they adapted one for my wife so that her Gluten Free diet would not be compromised. Ample portion sizes and reasonable prices. Tables cleaned as soon as customers left. Can recommend.

Great shop then got singled out for paying with card not cash as 'cash is king" and got a lecture why they prefer cash, and to top it off judged me by my age!!? Had ice cream here yesterday but you can't just order, she had to go through a string of questions on the till and asked me not to shout at her as she was doing it as it was stressful? I merely asked for an ice cream? She got very agitated when we didn't declare we wanted soft scoop so she had to clear the till questionnaire and start again? Very odd, she could do with a customer service refresher course or even just a smile!

I’d had the clotted cream flavour. Driving home after our walk I started to feel very sick. Husband and daughter luckily felt fine. Good job we didn’t live too far away because I had the most awful sickness afterwards. Went to bed very early as felt so rough. The ice cream tasted ok but no flavour. Though my husband said his had strange icy lumps in. I have never had food poisoning from ice cream but I know it can be nasty if it’s not stored correctly. I hope no one else suffered yesterday too!

We went to this cafe as it was on our list to go as part of our day trip and the reviews on here were pretty good. However I would not recommend eating at the café, firstly stood waiting to order food and was ignored by staff, all young girls working in there and they didn't seem very customer friendly, I ordered a cream tea and 2 soft drinks and was overcharged. I was given a mug of tea and was left waiting for the rest of the rt to come to the point where I had nearly finished my tea before I had to go back up there to ask for the scones, when they came with the scones were soggy and looked like they had been re microwaved, just awful. The rest of my family had to wait over half hour for their food to arrive, when they complained they said they run out of onions for the hotdogs even though half of them had ordered onions. When we asked for the manager another young girl (who was also the cook) came out and kind of had an attitude and not very managerial, she offered a part refund, Out the £30 we spent another girl came out and put £5.50 on the table. Very disappointing. However if you are going to the gift shop and the curiosity shop upstairs then you will not be disappointed, really lovely and lots of little gems to discover.

We popped in to have a coffee after a lovely walk around the Marina, Village and Recreation ground. I ordered 2 Latte's - No price list. I was then asked if I was having anything to eat to which I replied, "No thank you." I then saw 2 - yes 2 small shortbread biscuits in a packet on the counter and decided I would have them with my coffee.. £1.50!!! I paid and as I walked away I turned and said to the cashier, "That's expensive!" to which she replied, "I know." I went and sat at a table which was very sticky - the more I looked at the biscuits and having told my other half...75p per biscuit - I decided to take them back. I told the cashier that I didn't want them - I said they are not priced - she said "Yes -We have to make it up. I said, "The coffee isn't priced either" - no response. I was refunded the £1.50 - the biscuits were snatched from my hand and thrown back into their box landing upside down. I said, "You don't have to be like that!" She replied - "Oh no....I don't mind!" But no apology or thank you. I will NOT be having coffee or anything else in the Marina Cafe, due to the surly attitude of this member of staff which spoilt our coffee break.

It gave the impression of having food available but the only food in evidence was ice cream... no menus to be seen... Nevertheless, ice cream was what we wanted and the ice cream was seriously good, so no complaints from us!

we were caught on a walk along the beach by a sudden downpour and arrived in Watchet as 2 soaked oap's who should have listened to the weather forecast! However, the first place we sighted was the Marina Cafe and what a delightful sight it was for us. we were welcomed by friendly staff, who looked after us and provided us with a welcome cup of tea, followed by a delicious all day breakfast. The quality of the food was superb and very good value. We returned again for a second visit, and it was just as before. Would highly recommend. a lovely place.

Came straight from the train, and was starving so we popped in and was met by a very friendly team of staff who made us feel comfortable immediately. There was a large range of drinks and all staff seemed confident and lively. To our surprise there was even a veggie breakfast and it was very filling which is what we were looking for. When leaving, we stopped for an ice cream. My partner went for a classic whippy, I

What a lovely place, plenty of tables and chairs provided outside when we stopped for me to have an ice cream and hubby a coffee. I can't advise what it's like inside as I didn't look. Staff friendly and happy to help. The ice cream was larger than I expected for a small cornet, very enjoyable. Hubby was very happy with his coffee. The shop where the cafe is, is great, having a large selection of items, from rock, magnets, china, to caps, clothing and upstairs furniture and antiques.

This is a great little café amongst marine supplies, gift shop and other bits. The staff were lovely and to our immense surprise there was sheeps milk chocolate ice cream for cows milk allergic grandchildren. Apparently it was scrummy. The coffee was jolly good too.

Super coffee and really friendly staff. Our group of ten popped in after getting off the train. My nephews both have cow's milk protein allergy and this café serves a range of sheep's milk ice cream. Happy days! Coffee was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. Will go back.

We received a warm welcome as a windswept family with dog. We went for the all day breakfast which hit the spot. The bacon was cooked beautifully, the sausages were quality, tomatoes, beans, fried egg and lovely thick cut toast. Being on holiday we asked about the area we were staying and luck would have it the friendly lady from the cafe knew the quantocks very well.

Diverted off the main road into Watcher for a lunchtime snack. The marina cafe is prominently signed from the car park between station and harbour so, not wanting to waste time walking around the town, we gave it a go. Premises are a strange mix of proper chandlers, souvenir shop with all the usual tat, which has a few tables in one corner, and an "antique" / bric-a-brac Aladdin's cave upstairs. It was a cold February day, not high season, but half term holidays had just started so would have expected better selection. No hot pies or sausage rolls available (hot cabinet was completely empty) so went for the hot chicken and stuffing roll, which was about 10% chicken and 90% stuffing. Jacket potatoes seemed to be the only other hot option. My grandaughter had a baguette, and we had a repeat of an earlier reviewer where the advertised "with crisps" on the menu failed to appear when served and had to be requested. This seems to happen a bit too often to be a genuine oversight.

Had a Sunday carvery at the end of my daughters hen weekend. The food was great and the service outstanding. The manager couldn't have done more to accommodate us. It really was the best was to finish the weekend. Thank you so much, will definitely be in again when next in the area.

I have now reached the 56 year mark and after the time I have had since April I value every day far more than I did and take each day as it comes and expect to be taken as I am by others. In all my visits to Exmoor with my parents when I was growing up and when I returned back down with my lovely wife and various dogs over the years we have never been in the White Horse. As we were staying at Court Farm in Snowdrop we took the chance on a filthy night to venture in to the bar at the White Horse. I really liked the set up=looked like church or chapel pews and plenty of country pictures and items on the walls-how it should be. The gentleman serving says Mark on the receipt was a lovely gent pleasant and hosting without any airs or graces-helpful and considerate. Meal wise we had One Trout in Almonds served with new potatoes and seasonal veg well cooked and well presented and One Flat Iron Steak cooked medium which again was very well cooked and well presented. Managed one sticky toffee pudding and one raspberry brulee washed down with Guiness and Exmoor ale, the waiting staff were pleasant and effecient and the chef has an odd sense of humour but having come from that background I enjoyed that. Excellent meal in wonderful surroundings

You must book. The food was excellent. A typical country pub. Well worth a visit. Not cheap but the food is worth every penny.
