Camped at the back, was really nice, not too busy. Showers and toilet facilities were nice and clean. Plenty of hot water in the showers. Nice quiet campsite.

A friend and I camped there this weekend for charity, and it was a great space, clean toilets and shower. The breakfast in the pub was amazing and very tasty evening meal and dessert. Very friendly staff in the bar. The barman even donated to our cause. Looking forward to going there again with the family.

Pub was lovely however the holiday cottage was a shambles. Broken heating, curtain rails falling off and nearly killed my 83 year old Nan . They did fix it quickly but not recommended to stay.

After coming for years for midweek food and sunday carvery’s i was really disappointed with our last 3 visits. Service was slow and disappointing and the food really lacked flavour. The potatoes were poor and meat was dry for carvery. the server didn’t really understand coeliac disease and my food was incorrect twice after being sent back so all the table got to eat while i waited an extra 20 minutes for my food. Ive never had these issues before but after a few visits with the declining quality and service it’s a shame. I no longer feel safe eating her as a coeliac now

Would have been my father's 86th but he whimped out in April out so visited his memorial Lift for a Life tree Saturday. Raleghs Cross looked after us all. Food fine, rather inebriated celebration was handled by all the staff with aplomb. Rooms are clean and nice, slightly dated, but it's not the Ritz, people, and we aren't paying their prices. Will be coming back each year at the same time and looking forward to it. Thanks to all the staff for their help and forbearance.

The staff here were amazing and accommodating when we visited them during a power cut at home. They allowed us to charge our necessary items and were very friendly and helpful. Much appreciated in our time of need. Also had desserts while there which were delectable!

Stopped here for lunch (which is served all afternoon) on the way home from holiday. Very friendly welcome with a decent (ish) selection of beers (no IPA). Would definitely return. Also dog friendly which was a real bonus!

Lovely Sunday Carvery. 4 meats to choose from, potatoes lovely and crispy and plenty of veg to choose from. They kept the veg and potatoes topped up.

Booked a table for Sunday carvery, 2 Carveries were open. The first one had a queue so went to the back to the second one got a carvery sat down to eat it and it was stone cold I don’t mind warm food but not that cold even the meat and potatoes under the gravy were like you just got them out the fridge all shrivelled up and freezing we have only just moved down here and was looking forward to the meal but it turned out very disappointing would never go back.

Only reviewing restaurant and pub, but Sunday carvery was not at all good. Beef overdone and dry, Veg tired, Yorkshire Puddings tough, service surley. We were expecting better.

Northfield Hotel , we just loved staying here , old , little tired Victorian building that wraps it's arms around you like a favourite grandma, you walk in and immediately feel relaxed and at home , the staff are absolutely amazing bringing good old fashioned service with a broad smile and a way to make you feel really special, breakfast is wonderful, evening meal is a small set menu with 3 choices in each course, but don't be put off the food is lovely and so nice to have something different, We are definitely going back again, a quirky little gem nestled under the hill in Minehead. Mind if you like ultra modern and expected the world from your stay and the staff to run around you because you are ultra fussy, then don't go, you just won't fit. But if you want grandma to wrap you in comfort then you have a lovely relaxed stay ahead

The Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant, I was there when they built the original! After the success of my first meal at the wonderful Smash Corner, I decided I needed to raise some funds for my next meal. I went to the seafront to flaunt my wares. As many of my long-time readers know, I am the greatest food reviewing wizard the world has ever known, and I do have a few tricks up my sleeve. I realized I had found a use for my fully grown ostrich, Nigel! I pulled the little feller out... of my hat... and put a saddle on his back. It wasn't long before I had my first customer. A little old lady on holiday in Butlins with her family. It was her birthday and she wanted an ostrich ride. I said, "It's £5 for 5 minutes!" She was more than willing to pay up. I helped the frail 80-year-old onto the back of Nigel and told her to hold onto the reins. It started well, then the caca hit the fan! Nigel, a veteran of the great Australian Ostrich war, is an almost fearless ostrich. Almost. He has a deep and profound fear of ice cream cones. Before I knew what had hit me, Nigel caught a glimpse of an ice cream cone and sped up to full speed, barreling 40mph down the beach. Her family chased behind frantically. Last I heard she was spotted in Ilfracombe, heading for Land's End.... On the plus side, she dropped her purse, so I had money for dinner! I walked up into the town, trying to casually distance myself from the carnage at the beach (the air ambulance and police helicopters were in fast pursuit of Nigel) when I came across the Taj Mahal. I walked in with no reservation and the kindly gentleman said he'd find room for me. I was sat at a table on the left-hand side of the narrow restaurant, towards the back and near the kitchens. I ordered a Cobra Beer as my drink. Then I ordered an Indian Mix starter, which was an excellent starter. Wonderful. Fresh. Spicy and tangy. Loved it! For my main, I ordered off-menu a Chicken Passanda, the Rezotti, and Pilau Rice. And folks, let me tell you, this food was spectacular! I ordered off-menu as a Passanda is one of my favourites, and it was prepared expertly and without hesitation. The Rezotti was spicy, the meat was tender, and packed a punch with the herbs and spices. One criticism, the chicken was slightly dry. Nothing too serious. The rice was cooked perfectly and seasoned wonderfully. Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant 4.5/5 (excellent food, wonderful staff. Currently wondering what curried ostrich may taste like)
