A proper English tea shop serving real tea and delicious snacks and cakes, topped off by being served by some beautiful stunning senior ladies, what a wonderful find in the heart of chard.

Delicious pizza, quicker delivery time than expected, really pleased.

A great little pub, which is under new management and are friendly and welcoming, great food and good beers. Had a really nice night in a cosy and relaxing atmosphere.

A really great community pub. Delicious food, especially the breakfasts. Breakfast brioche baps are a must try. Great selection of drinks on tap too. The atmosphere is great. Staff are very welcoming. Big shout out to Dale - such a fantastic waiter. So friendly and fun and accommodating.

Excellent choice of menu, what we ordered came out piping hot Excellent service, we stayed two evenings, the restaurant was quite busy, our accommodation was at the rear of the pub chalet type.

I've had to update my post from a few years ago. This establishment used to be great but seems that with the rest of Yeovil it has gone downhill some what.I will say the food was lovely and service was very prompt but the staff weren't overly welcoming, almost all the seats were ripped,it was hard to find a table that was clean and the toilet was giving trainspotting vibes!🤢 Needless to say we won't be back!

Positives.......staff lovely and friendly. Very accommodating. Food portions were huge- probably too much for us but all very delicious. Chef came out to speak to us after we had eaten which was a lovely touch and appreciated. Lovely atmosphere, very chilled. Negatives ........ virtually no choice of wine or beer. Only what they had left in the fridge. Virtually nothing from drinks menu was available. Staff said they had been busy! We felt this was a bit embarrassing for the staff and was poor. Would have been nice to have been offered water as well sat down. We had lovely bread, balsamic and oil to share but side plates would have been nice. Finally when we got our bill we had to tell the young lad serving us that he had forgotten to include our drinks on the bill. Good job we were honest! Not convinced I would return which is a shame as we are local and like to support local businesses and the food was great. But there is so much local competition and as a customer we have so many other places to go.

This was our first visit here. We went for lunch. For a very reasonable set price you can order as many dishes as you like plus one soft drink and a dessert. The waiter was lovely, very helpful and friendly. We ordered 3 main courses each, we were expecting quite small portions and were surprised when the portions were “normal” size. We had a selection of lamb and chicken dishes, coconut rice, one veg dish and and a Peshwari naan. Everything was excellent. The meat was tender and the sauces were very tasty with the right amount of spice. The naan was one of the best I’ve ever had, it was light in texture and well cooked. Desserts were included. There was fresh fruit, 2 types of chocolate cake, some macarons, ice cream and 2 Indian sweets. I was full by this time but had 2 of the delicious macarons and some fresh mango. I couldn’t face the little chocolate we got with the bill so my husband had to eat it! We’ve eaten in Indian restaurants in many parts of the country including some of the best in London but this is some of the nicest food we’ve ever had. Well done to the staff (especially the chefs) and we’ll be back!

This hotel is a little gem. We held my sister in law’s wake there a few days ago. Meg’s organisation and attention to detail was exemplary, nothing was too much trouble and she was so kind and welcoming on such a sad day. The buffet food she provided and beautiful home made cakes were delicious and amazing. The barman was very friendly and helpful too. All the guests who attended were very impressed with this venue and I can definitely recommend it to anyone who wants excellent service. Thank you so much Meg, you are a star !

Great food selection. Speedy service. Lots of Gluten Free and Vegan options. Food quality can vary slightly but generally is very good!

Had a lovely fish and chips tonight as usual but unfortunately it was what happened before we ordered our food what shocked me. As we were driving into the carpark a staff member or a friend of one of the staff members was urinating against the back wall in the alleyway behind the shop! I only know this as when we parked up and went in to order he was standing behind the counter chatting with the staff. Tan jacket and a dodgy earing. Come on guys.
