So pleased we found this independent cafe hidden down a side street. Received a warm welcome and had a lovely lunch. The food was beautifully presented and was so tasty. Will definitely revisit when next in Totnes. Thank you so much.
What a great find, the tapas was fantastic! We ordered 3 vegetarian dishes each and that was plenty to share between us. We have a very good tapas restaurant where we live, so it was interesting to compare. There was a good mix of dishes we recognised and ones that were completely new to us. And who knew that cabbage could be so amazing as a tapas dish (Burnt Hisbi Cabbage)? It was a fabulous flavoursome meal from first bite to last!
Meat eaters paradise. Steak seems to the dish of choice. Eight of us, all of us with different palates from rare to burnt. Absolutely no complaints from anyone about their dish. That plus great friendly service, what more could you want ?
The breakfast was horrible, the ingredients were of low budget quality, the sausage had a herby awful flavour, cheap bread, not fried properly, the tea was tasteless, never eat there again, its a pity , the Staff are friendly, the parking outside is handy and free , nice location . , they need to upgrade the ingredients. and charge more money if necessary, if you lack taste buds, then you wont know any difference, pity i had to review my findings on this handy ideal location,
It is hard to find something in Dartmouth if you are vegan so didn't fancy our chances in the Market Square but running out of choices. A quick browse of the menu and I noticed they have a really inclusive menu with GF and VG choices.
We had the home made soup and the Tofu baguette which were both exceptional with perfectly crisp but soft tofu and pea houmous.
It sounds very worthy but was absolutely delicious and a proper light lunch.
It has made the prospect of a trip to Dartmouth even more worthwhile.
The products that these people grow and sell are superb. This is a range of chilli peppers from all over the world including the spiciest ever called the Reaper chilli, the sauce of which is famed as the hottest in the world! We bought some and boy does it live up to its reputation!
Quite expensive, worth it and thank you
Had wanted to stop here for a while and today on the way home from Salcombe stopped for a late breakfast. I had The Steer- a smaller full English and my vegetarian daughter the Grassy Eggs. She said it was the best breakfast she had ever had! Super friendly staff and a place to walk the dog around the field. Beautiful scenery too- we sat outside as it was warm and sunny. Will definitely visit again.
Beautifully situated on the waterfront, opposite Queen Anne's Battery Marina. Wonderful panoramic views in all directions and a hot spot if you catch the sun right. Outside decor and furniture's not all that and could do with an update but the food, wine and service is divine. I only had a starter and was pleasantly surprised - king prawns I chorizo and garlic cream based sauce, served with garlic buttered Ciabataa on the side, & a wedge of lemon. I also had a glass of Pinot Noir Della Venezie, sharp, crisp and delisch with the food.
Best Steak in town, great value for money. Home made cheesecake to die for!!
Nice old fashioned pub.
Thank you so much,
Very friendly landlord. Made us feel very welcome ☺
We will be back!!
We were pleased to see The Good Intent open even though we visited on a cold day in November. The ice cream we had was delicious - it was light and fluffy and very flavoursome - also a nice price. We were served with a smile.
Got together with long standing good friend couple for a relaxed evening before the Christmas madness starts. By no means busy but a perfect setting and food for a lovely evening.
