Fantastic crab sandwich and prawn sandwich. If you're visiting, definitely recommend getting some seafood from this little gem in the side road

How could you possibly go wrong with a crab sandwich at £9.50! Bread dry around edges, good amount of crab in middle of sandwich, but none around edges and also only margarine in middle of bread. I just find it so sad that these places do not take more pride, especially when charging these prices!

Unfortunately there was no brown meat in my crab sandwich. Also it could do with seasoning - and maybe a dash of vinegar? At £9.50 it was very disappointing. The two ladies were very nice and everything seemed clean. The sandwiches (hubby also had one) were freshly made and the bread was cut there but they were not nearly as nice as the ones we used to get from a tiny cafe which, sadly, closed several years ago.

We tried crab and salmon. Both were taste wise ok but nothing special. Certainly not the best seafood sandwich we ever had - and like many people recommend it.

We ordered two smoked mackerel and horseradish sandwiches, both with cucumber. One was freshly made in front of us, the other was pre-made, both were equally delicious - the granary bread and the filling were top notch.

Best sandwiches on the freshest granary bread I've tasted. We had hot smoked salmon with dill mayonnaise and thick cut ham with mustard and rocket. Delicious. This tiny takeaway operates from a shop window just down a side street. I was on my way to get a supermarket lunch when I spotted this. Highly recommended.

We came for a day out at Dartmouth, find this Crab Shell as we have been craving for crab meat. It was super fresh and delicious. And we’d eaten so fast that we’ve forgot to take pictures to share! Absolutely the place to go for in Dartmouth.

Best whelks in Devon ! Crab sandwich was a bit crunchie (shell) and fair bit of brown meat, however still nice !

Visited Dartmouth a couple of times in a week on holiday and found this gem. The crab sandwiches are delicious. They are reasonably priced and are well filled with white and brown crab meat. Next time I'm down in Devon, I'm definitely going there.

Fresh crab sandwiches from here are amazing , choice of bread and made while you wait , a little pricey but worth a try if you love crab .

Appropriate name. I got several pieces of crab shell in my sandwich. Plus a fair bit of brown meat when I specifically asked if the sandwiches are all white meat. I did not finish mine but my wife said her salmon sandwich was nice except for the bread.

£9.50 for a crab sandwich is acceptable if the bread had been home made, the crab had been seasoned and some form of condiment added but as is it's overpriced.

Had the crayfish tails & dill mayo sandwich yesterday when we visited Dartmouth. It was so good I'd have gone back again today if it wasn't an hours drive to get there

One of the best if not the best seafood sandwiches I have ever eaten. Crayfish tails with Dill Mayo in fresh granary bread.

£35 on sandwiches and they refused to fill up a water bottle with tap water 'we sell water'... Dry bread, no mayo, dry sandwich. Business model of fleecing tourists, well we are local and won't be returning or recommending.

Don't buy the prawn sandwich. Mine was clearly not made fresh. Stale bread smothered in margarine, cheap mayo. All round, a very disappointing sandwich. Friendly service. Fair price point if quality was better.
